Divine Level Witch Doctor

”Apologize!” Zhao Yuan grabbed the rude man and ordered in a low, stern voice.

”What did you say?” The man frowned, seemingly unable to believe someone dared to speak to him like that.

Zhao Yuan’s tone was cold. ”I said, apologize!”

”On what grounds?” the man demanded.

Zhao Yuan smiled, but it was an incredibly sinister smile that would make anyone who saw it shiver involuntarily. ”You stepped on someone and then insulted them. Shouldn’t you apologize? And you have the nerve to ask me on what grounds? Is this how your parents taught you to be a decent human being?”

Enraged, the man swung a slap at Zhao Yuan while cursing, ”Fuck, trying to be the hero saving the damsel in distress? Go take a piss and look at your own reflection! You dare to snarl at me? I’ll teach you a lesson you’ll never forget!”

However, things didn’t go as the man had expected. His surprise attack failed to harm Zhao Yuan. His hand was caught mid-air by Zhao Yuan.

”AHHH—it hurts, it hurts, it hurts!”

The man felt as if his hand was caught in an iron vise. He struggled desperately, but it was useless. Then, he heard a sickening CRACK from his wrist.

Zhao Yuan let go. The man looked down and was shocked to find his hand hanging limp and uncontrollable. With that one grab, Zhao Yuan had dislocated his wrist!

The man was both shocked and furious. He opened his mouth to curse, ”You son of a—”

Before the curse could fully leave his mouth, Zhao Yuan swung his hand and slapped him hard across the face.

SMACK! The man’s cheek swelled up instantly, and the slap left his mind reeling.

Zhao Yuan said coldly, ”Watch your mouth. Otherwise, for every curse you utter, I’ll give you a slap.”

This time, although a burning rage flickered in the man’s eyes, he didn’t dare to speak disrespectfully again. He might be arrogant, but he wasn’t stupid. The recent encounter had made him realize he was no match for Zhao Yuan.

”What are you staring at me for? Hurry up and apologize!” Zhao Yuan barked, completely ignoring the man’s anger and resentment.

The man was reluctant at first, but when he saw Zhao Yuan raise his hand again, he immediately caved. Gritting his teeth, he said to Lin Xue, ”Sorry!”

Zhao Yuan wasn’t about to let him off the hook. He snorted, ”Is that your apology? There’s not a shred of sincerity in it! Do it again! With some feeling this time!”

The man was furious but didn’t dare to speak. He could only apologize to Lin Xue once more.

His attitude was much better this time. Zhao Yuan waved his hand dismissively. ”Alright, get lost! Remember to be more polite from now on, or you’ll get put in your place in a heartbeat, understand?”

The man said nothing and strode out of the row of seats. Just as he was about to exit the theater, he finally mustered up his courage and yelled back at Zhao Yuan, ”Punk, if you’ve got the guts, you wait right here! I’m going to get my guys, and I’ll fucking kill you!”

Faced with the provocation, Zhao Yuan showed no sign of panic. He simply nodded. ”Fine. I’ll be waiting.”

”Zhao Yuan…” Lin Xue was a little worried. She tugged on his arm, wanting to dissuade him.

Zhao Yuan gently patted the back of her hand and whispered, ”It’s fine. Trust me. No matter how many people he brings, I can handle them.”

Perhaps it was his gentle voice, or perhaps his confident tone, but Lin Xue was convinced and didn’t try to persuade him further.

The man left, abandoning his girlfriend. The poor woman cowered in her seat, terrified that Zhao Yuan would take his anger out on her.

Her worries were clearly unnecessary. Zhao Yuan hadn’t even glanced at her from beginning to end, let alone cause trouble for her.

A movie theater employee came in to ask about the situation. Seeing that one of the parties in the dispute had already left, they didn’t say much. The poor woman seized the opportunity to leave the theater with the employee.

After the little incident, the movie resumed. But Zhao Yuan wasn’t watching the screen. Instead, he looked at the beautiful woman beside him and asked in a low voice, ”Is your foot okay?”

Lin Xue replied, ”It still hurts a little.”

”Let me take a look.” Zhao Yuan bent down, took hold of Lin Xue’s foot, gently removed her shoe, and began to massage it.

Lin Xue’s face instantly turned red. She felt waves of a tingling, numbing sensation, like an electric current, running through her foot. She subconsciously tried to pull her foot back, but Zhao Yuan’s hands were steady, making it impossible for her to retract it. Blushing, she could only let Zhao Yuan do as he pleased.

A few minutes later, Zhao Yuan looked up and asked, ”How does it feel now?”

”Huh?” Lin Xue was taken aback by the question.

She had been so immersed in a sweet and nervous state of mind that she hadn’t paid any attention to her foot. After hearing Zhao Yuan’s question, she realized that after his massage, her foot no longer hurt.

Zhao Yuan couldn’t help but chuckle. He reached out and poked her on the forehead. ”What do you mean, ’huh’? I’m asking if your foot still hurts.”

”It doesn’t hurt anymore,” Lin Xue answered quickly.

”Good. It seems my self-taught massage techniques are somewhat effective after all,” Zhao Yuan said with a smile. After helping Lin Xue put her shoe back on, he sat back up in his seat.

”Thank you.” Lin Xue’s pretty face was flushed, but for some reason, a trace of disappointment welled up in her heart. She even couldn’t help but think, ’If only that moment could have lasted forever…’

”It’s nothing. It is my honor to be of service to the princess,” Zhao Yuan joked with a smile so warm it could make a person’s whole body go soft.

Lin Xue suddenly remembered something. She quickly took out a packet of wet wipes from her purse and handed them to Zhao Yuan. ”Here are some wet wipes. Clean your hands, so they aren’t dirty.”

”Dirty?” Zhao Yuan chuckled and said, ”Your feet aren’t dirty at all. In fact, they smell quite nice.”

That sentence made Lin Xue’s face turn an even deeper shade of red.

For the rest of the movie, she had no mind to watch at all. Her thoughts were running wild the entire time, alternating between sweetness and anxiety. Thankfully, the theater was dark and everyone was focused on the screen; otherwise, people would have definitely been spooked by her occasional, inexplicable giggles.

Over an hour later, the movie ended. The man who had been clamoring for revenge never returned.

Zhao Yuan and Lin Xue walked out of the movie theater, discussing where to go next. Suddenly, eight men appeared on the path ahead. The one in the lead was the very same man Zhao Yuan had taught a lesson to in the theater. His face was now even more swollen. At a glance, he looked like a pig-faced demon walking the earth.

They were blocked head-on, but Zhao Yuan wasn’t nervous or flustered. He sneered, ”You’re finally here. Took you long enough to call for backup. How useless.”

At that moment, the man also saw Zhao Yuan and Lin Xue and immediately started shouting, ”That’s him! That’s the punk! Brothers, get him! Avenge me!”

To Zhao Yuan, who had already stepped into the Mid Stage of Marrow Cleansing, a few thugs were nothing to be concerned about.

He took a step forward, about to deal with the thugs, but then suddenly changed his mind. He turned his head and asked Lin Xue, ”Do you want to teach this group a lesson yourself?”
