I Married the President

Chapter 273: Chapter 273: Unable to Convince

Damn it all!

Why is he so impossible to argue with???

If I can’t out-argue him, I might as well just bite him!

On impulse, Claire Sinclair grabbed his large hand with both of hers, opened her mouth, and bit down hard on the fleshy part of his palm.

But Adrian Quincy heartlessly pushed her away, his tone gentle as he asked, ”Claire, when was your last period?”

Claire Sinclair looked at him, confused and also very annoyed. She released her bite, her tone unfriendly. ”Why are you asking that?”

In the past, he would have lost control and carried her upstairs long ago, without all this pointless chatter.

Adrian Quincy leaned in close to her ear, his voice husky. ”I want to know about your special time.”

Claire Sinclair: ”I’m not telling you!”

Adrian Quincy said softly, ”Be good. Tell me.”

”I won’t. You could beat me to death and I still wouldn’t tell you...”

”Tell me, or I’m ignoring you tonight.”

Faced with the Great Demon King Quincy’s sudden tenderness, how could the little bunny possibly be a match for him?

Claire Sinclair had no choice but to surrender. ”A few days before you came back, alright!”

”When your period comes, do you feel any discomfort?”

”Yes, cramps.”

”You never had them before?”

”Of course I have! My period has never been regular, ever since I was young. Sometimes it’s once a month, sometimes once every two months. The longest I’ve gone is half a year. So I have no idea when my ’special time’ is. Are you satisfied now?”

’Her constitution was just weaker than a normal person’s anyway!’

’She never knew this guy could be so talkative. He must have too much time on his hands!’

A dark look flashed in Adrian Quincy’s eyes, but it was fleeting. He quickly returned to normal and said gently, ”That’s not normal. I’ll take you to the hospital for a check-up tomorrow. Get up.”

With that, the Great Demon King Quincy tried to push her away.

But Claire Sinclair didn’t want to get up. Lying there lazily, she didn’t want to move an inch. ”Don’t wanna get up...”

”Tired?”

”...”

”Claire?”

”...”

”Then get some rest.”

”...”

’Anyway, now just isn’t the right time.’

In the end, Claire Sinclair was still tossed aside by him. It was as if their earlier argument had just been playful banter, resolved in a few simple words.

’So pathetic!’

Claire Sinclair sat before his desk, quietly watching him handle his work. The more she watched, the more she found the sight of him working to be captivating, and she felt a sense of peace and delight.

Seeing him so focused on his work, she couldn’t resist teasing him a little...

”Adrian.”

Adrian Quincy’s head snapped up. He met her gaze, a dark glimmer of pleasant surprise in his eyes.

Claire Sinclair blushed, feeling secretly pleased. ”It’s nothing. I was just a little bored, so I called your name for fun.”

Adrian Quincy suggested, ”You can play on your phone if you’re bored.”

Claire Sinclair shook her head. ”My phone isn’t fun.”

The man immediately beckoned to her. ”Come here.”

Claire Sinclair raised an eyebrow and shook her head. ”I’m not coming over. It’d be more like it if you came over here.”

Adrian Quincy actually stood up, walked to her side, and wrapped his arms around her shoulders from behind. ”Claire, don’t mess around.”

”I’m not messing around...” ’Oh, but I am, hehe.’

”When you’re like this, I can’t resist you.”

”Then you should go back to your seat and finish your work quickly.”

But Adrian Quincy had no intention of returning to his seat. He took her hand, pulled her to her feet, and turned to walk out.

Claire Sinclair asked curiously, ”Where are we going?”

The Great Demon King Quincy said calmly, ”Out for a walk.”

”What about your work?”

”It’s not as important as you.”

”...” ’So smooth. I was completely caught off guard.’
