BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Outside the raging Spiritual Energy storm—

The Luo God Clan, Blood God Clan, Strength God Clan, and Bone God Clan stood locked in a tense standoff. Savage battle intent surged into the heavens while overwhelming Spiritual Energy rippled through the void, suppressing everything in its wake.

Spiritual Energy intertwined across the sky, and terrifying fluctuations spread outward. The atmosphere grew heavy and murderous, as though a catastrophic war could erupt at any moment.

In the Great Thousand Worlds, the law of the strong reigned supreme—those beneath the Sovereign Realm were but ants. Yet even among Sovereigns, the Earth Sovereigns were considered true overlords, beings capable of ruling entire regions by their power alone.

At this moment, no less than sixteen Earth Sovereign–level experts hovered above the battlefield, four of whom were High Level Earth Sovereigns.

The Blood God Clan, Bone God Clan, and Strength God Clan surrounded the Luo God Clan in a loose formation. Once battle broke out, the three clans would undoubtedly join forces to annihilate them.

However, among the Four God Clans, the Luo God Clan had always stood at the very peak. Even if the other three could destroy them, they would pay a heavy price for doing so.

Xue Lingzi faced Luo Tianshen directly, but his gaze kept flicking toward the towering storm that pierced the heavens. His heart burned with fervor. Such a terrifying commotion could never have been caused by an ordinary Saint Artifact—it was something far beyond that.

Yet, the process of obtaining such a treasure would surely be riddled with peril. Xue Lingzi had no intention of engaging in a life-and-death struggle with Luo Tianshen right before that.

With a sly smile, Xue Lingzi spoke. ”Clan Leader Luo, the four clans gathered here today are clearly all drawn by the same treasure. Why spoil the atmosphere with meaningless fighting?”

”Why don’t we make things clear—you allow us entry to seek the treasure, and in exchange, we guarantee peace between us. Otherwise, if war breaks out today, who knows where this treasure will end up? And your Luo God Clan’s elites might all perish in the process.”

”That’s right, Clan Leader Luo, please think twice!”

Li Wushuang and Gu Aotian echoed in agreement. They were here for the treasure as well—fighting before even seeing it would only be a loss for everyone. What they feared most was that Luo Tianshen’s stubbornness would push him to start the battle outright just to keep them out.

Luo Tianshen turned to glance behind him. The three Elders and many clan elites all bore expressions of shared outrage. To allow three foreign clans to intrude upon what clearly belonged to the Luo God Clan—such humiliation was unbearable.

He hesitated. The lives of his clansmen… or an unknown treasure—what weighed more? The answer was already clear in his heart.

”I agree.”

His voice was calm yet carried immense weight.

”Clan Leader, you mustn’t—!” The crowd’s faces changed dramatically. They were ready to die for the Luo God Clan if needed.

”My decision is made,” Luo Tianshen cut them off, waving his hand. His expression was resolute, and his tone left no room for debate. ”Stay calm, do not act rashly. Remember that!”

He then looked toward the three opposing leaders. His eyes were tranquil yet commanding.

”Then, let us go in together.”

”Haha! Clan Leader Luo is indeed magnanimous. We would be petty to refuse. Blood Bat Legion, withdraw a hundred miles—no one approaches without orders!”

Xue Lingzi laughed heartily. Both sides feared betrayal—Luo Tianshen feared the others would strike at his troops once inside, while they feared he would do the same. Entering together was the safest course for all.

Li Wushuang and Gu Aotian gave similar orders. Elite troops were difficult to train—losing them here would pain even their battle-hardened hearts.

”Three Elders, come with me.”

Luo Tianshen turned to the others, raised his hand, and said evenly, ”Please.”

With that, four beams of light shot toward the distant Spiritual Energy storm. Xue Lingzi, Li Wushuang, and Gu Aotian followed close behind.

Sixteen Earth Sovereigns in total soared into the storm. Even they could feel its terrifying might the closer they drew. Normally gentle Spiritual Energy had turned into blades capable of cutting metal and stone—no fleshly body could endure it.

”Luo River Celestial Body—open!”

Luo Tianshen’s low shout rang out. Boundless Spiritual Energy erupted as a massive figure—thousands of meters tall and radiating the vast aura of the Luo River—appeared between heaven and earth.

It enveloped Luo Tianshen and the three Earth Sovereigns from his clan, shielding them as they plunged into the raging storm.

The Luo God Clan possessed a secret Celestial Body known as the Luo God Celestial Body, ranked eleventh among the ninety-nine Sovereign Celestial Bodies. Sadly, almost no one could cultivate it successfully; the only known success was the ancient Luo Shen herself.

”Clan Leader Luo is serious this time—then I can’t fall behind! Blood Shadow Celestial Body—open!”

Xue Lingzi chuckled. Vast blood-red Spiritual Energy surged outward, and a gigantic, eerie figure—half real, half illusory—materialized behind him. Enshrouding him and his three Earth Sovereigns, it charged into the storm as well.

Li Wushuang and Gu Aotian followed suit, each summoning their Celestial Bodies and plunging into the howling tempest.

The storm raged violently. Countless Spiritual Energy blades struck the four towering Celestial Bodies, carving deep scars across their bodies.

”How terrifying… An ordinary Sovereign Celestial Body would be shredded to pieces in an instant.” Luo Tianshen’s face grew solemn. He channeled his boundless Spiritual Energy, and the power of the Luo River surged forth, swiftly repairing the gashes upon his Celestial Body.

The storm continued its relentless assault, but the four High Level Earth Sovereigns possessed nearly inexhaustible Spiritual Energy. Each wound was healed almost as quickly as it appeared.

After all, this was merely a storm of pure Spiritual Energy—lacking any special properties—it could not possibly kill them here.

Before long, the four Celestial Bodies broke through the storm’s edge and entered a calm region within.

What they saw left them speechless—

A towering Bodhisattva Ancient Tree stood before them, stretching thousands of feet high. Endless streams of pure Spiritual Energy radiated from its leaves, forming ethereal shapes. Just gazing upon it filled their hearts with sudden enlightenment.

”An unrivaled Saint Artifact… a Tree of Enlightenment! There’s no mistake! With such a tree, countless prodigies could rise within our clan. Our age of prosperity has come!” Xue Lingzi’s voice trembled with excitement as he named it himself.

Luo Tianshen, however, spoke slowly, his expression complicated.

”Xue Lingzi… stop dreaming. Can’t you see? This divine tree already has a master.”

”What?”

Not only Xue Lingzi, but Li Wushuang and Gu Aotian also froze. They had been so entranced by the Bodhisattva Ancient Tree’s aura that they hadn’t noticed—

Beneath it sat a young man in tattered robes, cross-legged atop a massive boulder. Despite his ragged appearance, his handsome face and calm bearing were unmistakable.

The Bodhisattva Ancient Tree’s pure light cascaded over him, its Spiritual Energy swirling like mist. The youth accepted it all without resistance, absorbing the endless influx with serene composure.

Though his Spiritual Energy felt unfamiliar and hazy, they immediately recognized his condition—

A newly ascended Sovereign from a lower plane, undergoing the process of converting Dou Qi into Spiritual Energy. At such a moment, he would be at his weakest. But once that transformation completed…

A genius capable of transcending the lower realm would surely soar to the heavens in the Great Thousand Worlds!

”Who cares whether he’s the master of that tree? Kill him, and it’ll be ownerless again!” Xue Lingzi snarled, greed blazing in his eyes. Spiritual Energy roared forth like a tidal wave as he prepared to crush the youth where he sat.

The disturbance stirred the meditation below.

Liu Xi slowly opened his eyes—calm, clear, and fathomless.

”So, trouble has come after all…”
