BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Above the rolling magma lay Jia Nan Academy.

Liu Xi did not break through by force. Instead, he led his group straight into the molten depths, crossing the crimson waves until they reached the hidden space concealed deep below.

The last time he had come here, he was merely at the Dou Zun realm, and it had taken immense effort to slip past the countless Fire Lizard guards before finally arriving.

Now, with a flicker of spatial light, Liu Xi and his group tore through the void and descended directly outside that secret realm.

A few ignorant Fire Lizards dared to charge forward. Before Liu Xi even moved, the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe experts behind him—none weaker than Dou Saint—casually obliterated the intruders with a wave of their hands.

Zi Yan’s eyes betrayed a trace of nervousness. Though she tried to conceal it, Liu Xi noticed instantly.

No matter how complicated her feelings were, she still carried a blood-deep connection to Zhu Kun. That bond could never truly vanish.

The ancient dragons around them stared in awe at the concealed space. Even with their mastery of spatial power, they could barely perceive it—much less break through. To craft such a space beyond the reach of the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe meant only one thing: it had been created by a Dou Di.

Liu Xi raised his hand. The Storage Ring on his finger shimmered, and a piece of ancient jade appeared, glowing with searing heat.

As they neared the Ancient Emperor’s Cave Mansion, the jade finally reacted. A soft haze enveloped it, and within that mist, an old man with long, radiant hair gradually took form.

A majestic, boundless pressure erupted outward, forcing even the dragon elders to look on in shock.

”That’s… the Toushe Ancient Emperor?”

”This is the aura of a Dou Di…”

”This… this is unbelievable!”

Whispers rippled among the group.

Liu Xi, his Spiritual Perception linked to the ancient jade, could faintly sense the cave mansion below—his power connecting with the very core of the sealed space.

”Hehe, everyone, let’s go. The Old Dragon Emperor rests below, and the Ancient Emperor’s Cave Mansion awaits. Let us witness for ourselves the final Dou Di under the heavens—his legacy, his glory.”

Boom!

The jade flared with blinding brilliance, bathing the hidden realm in waves of azure light. The long-sealed space trembled as layer upon layer of ripples spread outward.

The barrier dissolved, and before their eyes, the true Ancient Emperor’s Cave Mansion slowly revealed itself.

In the depths of the dark void stood a colossal bronze gate, towering and solemn. Ancient carvings wound across its surface—depictions of heaven, earth, and the flow of time. Just one glance filled the heart with an overwhelming sense of age and reverence.

A chorus of sharp gasps escaped the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe experts.

Liu Xi had seen this bronze door before and was unfazed. Stepping forward, he crossed the spatial boundary and entered the true domain of the Ancient Emperor.

”Hahahaha! This Emperor is finally free!”

A booming, majestic voice echoed through the vast darkness, shaking the heavens as if an ancient beast had awoken.

From the shadows, an enormous figure emerged—a dragon of unimaginable size, its violet-gold scales gleaming with ancient might. Its coiled body stretched for ten thousand feet, emanating suffocating power.

”The Old Dragon Emperor! It’s the Old Dragon Emperor!”

”After thousands of years… we finally found him!”

The gathered dragons could barely contain their emotions—some even wept openly.

Under Zhu Kun’s rule, the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe had reached its peak. Though he had vanished for countless years, the dragons still remembered that glorious era vividly.

Even so, they understood their place. The current Dragon Emperor stood before them, and none dared to overstep.

Zhu Kun’s golden eyes flashed as he noticed the gathering. His massive body shrank, scales melting into light. In an instant, a rugged man with long violet-gold hair and a dominating presence appeared before them.

”Zhu Bei, Zhu Yu, Zhu Fei… you’ve all come. Zi Yan—my daughter—you came to rescue your father.”

His deep voice carried a hint of warmth, and when his gaze fell upon Zi Yan—tall, beautiful, and regal—his eyes softened with affection.

Zi Yan’s lips trembled slightly. Joy flickered in her gaze, but as soon as Zhu Kun’s words fell, she turned her head away with a cold snort.

The painful memories of being abandoned for thousands of years, surviving alone in the Magic Beast Mountain Range, resurfaced all at once.

”Cough, cough!”

Liu Xi, standing beside Zi Yan and holding the ancient jade, coughed loudly—reminding everyone of his existence.

”Senior Zhu Kun, you’ve been guarding this place for millennia. Now that you’re free, let’s head inside together and see what treasures the Toushe Ancient Emperor left behind.”

Zhu Kun finally looked at Liu Xi, his eyes narrowing slightly as if to measure him. Moments later, a deep shock rippled through his gaze.

”You’re impressive,” he said meaningfully. ”Though I’ve been dormant for ages, I can sense the flow of time. It hasn’t been long since we last met, yet you’ve already reached such a realm. Within this cave mansion lies an embryonic Emperor Pill—perhaps with it, you might achieve the Dou Di realm faster than even I could.”

Liu Xi smiled faintly. His true goal was not the Emperor Pill embryo. At his level, such a thing could only hasten his progress slightly—perhaps enough to break through after centuries of refinement.

What he sought was far greater: the Emperor’s Origin. That was the true essence of Toushe Ancient Emperor’s inheritance. With it, he wouldn’t need centuries—he could ascend to Dou Di within a short span.

Moreover, the Emperor’s Origin could serve as his foundation after ascension, allowing him to dominate even among other Dou Dis.

In a world teeming with powerhouses, he had to prepare early.

Liu Xi took several steps forward, his Dou Qi surging into the ancient jade in his palm. The immense pressure it released caused even the ancient dragons—and Zhu Kun himself—to feel their hearts tremble.

Liu Xi’s strength had already transcended the realm of an ordinary Dou Saint.

As his energy poured in, the jade blazed with radiant light, sending a powerful beam directly into the bronze gate.

Rumble—!

The colossal door, sealed for over ten thousand years, finally began to open. An ancient, oppressive aura rolled outward, heavy with the passage of time.

The gleaming doorway revealed swirling mists of light, exuding an overwhelming pressure that made all below Dou Saint tremble uncontrollably.

This was no ordinary door—only the worthy could pass.

Zhu Kun rubbed his hands together, his eyes burning with excitement. He had waited in darkness for millennia, guarding this place for the chance to see it open once more.

”Let’s go.”

Liu Xi strode forward first. The aura beyond the gate felt strangely familiar—not his own memory, but one that came from the Void Devouring Flame and the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame within him.

As he stepped inside, the others followed one by one, crossing the threshold into the Ancient Emperor’s Cave Mansion.
