BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Within this hazy space, there was no concept of heaven or earth. The surroundings were shrouded in a faint mist, and at its very center floated a massive suspended island. It hung silently in midair without any visible support, existing here since ancient times.

At that moment, Liu Xi appeared quietly within the space. Soon after, Zhu Kun, Zi Yan, Qing Lin, Xiao Yixian, and a number of powerful members of the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe arrived behind him.

Everyone gazed around in astonishment—the stability of this space was beyond comprehension, and the faint imperial might flowing through the air stirred deep reverence in their hearts.

”Finally inside,” Zhu Kun said with a mix of awe and resentment. ”Had it not been for this damn Ancient Emperor’s Cave Mansion, I wouldn’t have been trapped in darkness for thousands of years as its guardian.”

”Humph!” Zi Yan coldly snorted. It was precisely because of Zhu Kun’s greed for the Emperor Pill Embryo that she, as a child, had been abandoned to struggle for survival in the Magical Beast Mountain Range for millennia, constantly fighting to avoid becoming food for other beasts. Hearing her tone, Zhu Kun’s expression froze into one of embarrassment and pain. He hurried to her side, fawningly trying to ease her anger.

The great Dragon Emperor, who once reigned over the continent, was reduced to an apologetic father. The other dragons could barely hold back their laughter. Even Zhu Kun, the once invincible being, had found his greatest weakness—his daughter.

When their initial excitement faded, everyone calmed down. The Ancient Void Dragon Tribe of today was no weaker than before—perhaps even stronger.

”Let’s go take a look,” Liu Xi said with a faint smile.

He led the way, vigilant for any changes. Though danger here was unlikely, the Emperor Pill Embryo was no ordinary existence—it warranted caution.

Their speed was astonishing; in moments, they reached the island. At its center lay a vast square, surrounded by thin fog. Even one’s Spiritual Perception was heavily suppressed here.

Indeed, this was a place left behind by a Dou Di.

As they advanced, a towering pillar appeared before them. Floating atop it was a faint golden-yellow flame—the Mysterious Yellow Flame, ranked 23rd on the Heavenly Flame Ranking.

However, this flame was hollow, devoid of its essence—the true origin had long been extracted by Toushe Ancient Emperor.

The others were astonished, but Liu Xi remained composed—he had expected as much.

They continued forward. With each step, another massive pillar emerged, each bearing a different Heavenly Flame. The deeper they went, the higher the flame’s rank climbed.

Everyone marveled—who would have thought Toushe Ancient Emperor had collected so many Heavenly Flames? It reminded them of Liu Xi himself.

Liu Xi merely smiled. Yet as they neared the end, the atmosphere grew solemn. Among the flames were even the Life Spirit Flame and Gold Emperor Incinerating Heavenly Flame—each one terrifyingly powerful.

But at the final pillars, there were no signs of the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame or Void Devouring Flame.

These were unique Heavenly Flames—only one of each could exist between heaven and earth. Liu Xi knew well: they had once been sealed here, but later escaped.

Speculations buzzed among the group—where was Toushe Ancient Emperor’s greatest treasure, the Emperor Pill Embryo? Even Zhu Kun, familiar with this place, looked lost; after all, he couldn’t foresee the future like Liu Xi.

Liu Xi released his Dou Qi. His robe flared, a dominating aura sweeping across the square.

Though all knew he was powerful, truly witnessing it left them breathless.

Like a storm, his pressure swept away the surrounding mist, clearing the entire plaza.

When the haze dispersed, there was no pillar bearing the first Heavenly Flame. Instead, a colossal stone statue stood at the center—a thousand meters tall, carved with the likeness of Toushe Ancient Emperor himself.

It was clear now—Toushe Ancient Emperor had fused twenty-two Heavenly Flames into one, creating the Emperor Flame.

”Look there! Those scrolls—every one of them is a Tian Class Qi Method or Dou Technique!” someone exclaimed. Dozens upon dozens of high-tier manuals circled the statue like treasures awaiting their master.

”Toushe Ancient Emperor’s collection truly is astounding,” Liu Xi remarked, but his attention was fixed elsewhere. Atop the statue’s shoulder stood a solitary figure—cold and motionless—staring down at them. Their eyes met, and sparks seemed to flash between them.

The figure spoke first.

”I sense the Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame and the Void Devouring Flame in you. Their auras are faint but unmistakable—you devoured them.”

”That’s right,” Liu Xi replied calmly, smiling.

Gasps erupted from those below. That face, that shimmering, multi-colored hair—there was no mistaking it.

”That’s… Toushe Ancient Emperor himself!”

”No,” Liu Xi corrected, eyes glinting faintly with excitement. ”That’s the Emperor Pill Embryo.”

Though only an Embryo, it far surpassed any 9th Tier Golden Pill—and could one day become complete. But such evolution required the Origin Qi of higher worlds, far beyond what the Dou Qi Continent could provide.

”Hmph, those two useless flames!” the Emperor Pill Embryo growled, its tone filled with fury. It too possessed consciousness.

Long ago, it had sent out the Void Devouring Flame and Purifying Demonic Lotus Flame to gather the ancient jades and free it, but both had perished instead. The betrayal filled it with wrath.

Soon, it sneered coldly.

”You’ve entered this place—meaning you possess the Ancient Jade. If I kill you and take it, I can leave here myself.”

A thunderous wave of energy burst forth from its body. The very fabric of space quivered and rebuilt itself in its presence. Even Zhu Kun felt his blood run cold; the pressure was suffocating.

”Be careful!” Zhu Kun barked, shielding Zi Yan behind him.

But before his words faded, Liu Xi had already moved.

His aura erupted. In an instant, he transformed into a streak of azure light and appeared before the Emperor Pill Embryo.

A lotus of azure flame bloomed in his palm.

Under the Embryo’s astonished gaze, the lotus touched its chest—its condensed body shattered, its power rapidly unraveling before vanishing entirely.

When the light faded, Liu Xi stood where it had been, a calm smile on his lips.

Resting upon his palm was a basin-sized Azure Lotus, within which swirled a dense orb of energy—the Emperor Pill Embryo, subdued in an instant.

The energy contained within was enough to make even a Half-Step Dou Di tremble.

Though both could be considered Half-Step Dou Di, Liu Xi wielded the chaotic might of the Azure Lotus Flame, while the Emperor Pill Embryo was merely a creation—a pill bound by rules it could not surpass.

Without needing Toushe Ancient Emperor’s alchemy incantations, Liu Xi had completely subdued it within seconds.

Standing atop Toushe Ancient Emperor’s statue, palm cradling the Azure Lotus, his calm expression and ethereal presence made him seem like a celestial immortal descending upon the world.

Below, the crowd stared in awe. Even Zhu Kun was speechless—he glanced at his daughter, her eyes shining with admiration toward Liu Xi.

A wry smile crossed Zhu Kun’s face as a quiet thought echoed in his heart.

’My little girl… she truly belongs to someone else now.’

For a moment, even the mighty Dragon Emperor felt a hint of sorrow amidst the triumph.
