BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

”Young Master, I’m done.”

Qing Lin exhaled softly, the azure light in her eyes receding as she sent a spiritual transmission to Liu Xi, who stood atop the unconscious serpent head of Yao Xiaotian.

Liu Xi stepped down from the serpent’s head. The long-dormant Yao Xiaotian slowly opened his eyes, the former savagery and greed gone, replaced by an empty, obedient calm. Compared to Yao Ming, Yao Xiaotian’s willpower and cultivation were far inferior; under Liu Xi’s suppression, he had fallen easily to the Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils.

”One more left — and this will be over soon.”

Liu Xi’s gaze turned toward the poisoned and faltering First Elder. His golden-lit body surged with power as the colossal golden figure he had manifested stomped down, the ground exploding into a crater beneath his heel. Soil and dust burst outward in waves.

Then, like a cannonball, the golden giant shot skyward. Its overwhelming aura distorted the air, and the countless elders of the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Tribe who looked on felt both awe and relief. They knew well enough they had chosen wisely — anyone opposing such a monster would meet only death.

The First Elder, already weakened and ravaged by the calamity poison, paled as he saw Liu Xi rising through the air. Terror flooded his eyes. Abandoning any pretense of composure, he twisted his hands into a seal and let out a crazed laugh.

”Jiejie! If I can’t live, none of you will! You’ll all die with me!”

”Not good! He’s going to self-destruct!”

Cries erupted below. Even the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python tribesmen went rigid with fear. A Dou Saint’s self-detonation could annihilate everything within a thousand meters — a cataclysm no one would survive.

Liu Xi frowned slightly. He didn’t believe the old snake had such resolve. Releasing his Spiritual Perception, he mapped every inch of the battlefield in an instant. The deceit in the elder’s eyes, the faint instability of his Dou Qi — they mimicked self-destruction perfectly, but there was something... off.

”Old fox.”

Liu Xi smirked faintly and spread his fingers. A vast handprint of divine power condensed above him, golden light blazing so bright no one dared to look directly. The massive palm, spanning thousands of meters, descended like a mountain from the heavens, crushing the very fabric of space beneath it.

The First Elder froze in horror, his reflection caught in the descending golden hand — every vein, every line etched into his vision. He tried to speak, but only managed a strangled curse.

”Go to—”

Boom!

His body exploded into a storm of blood and ash. The shockwave barely slowed the golden palm, which clenched, crushing the remnants into oblivion.

A few serpentine figures tried to flee through the gaps between the fingers — fragments of his serpent transformation, his spirit split into countless escape forms. But Liu Xi’s fingers tightened.

Pop! Pop! Pop!

Each serpent burst into fragments of flesh and blood that rained down like a crimson storm. In the end, only one scarlet snake remained — the same one that had once coiled around the elder’s shoulder. It writhed weakly, despair clouding its eyes, its soul-bound host’s last attempt at survival laid bare.

”Come back here, you.”

Liu Xi chuckled, his body shrinking back to normal as he seized the snake by its tail and descended. With a flick of his finger, a precise blast of force struck the snake’s head, knocking it unconscious. He sealed its Dou Qi and spirit, then tossed it to Qing Lin.

The remaining members of the tribe fell silent, grief and dread etched across their faces. Though they had despised Yao Xiaotian’s cruelty and the First Elder’s deceit, seeing their once-mighty leaders subdued so easily filled them with unease.

Still, they knew better than to resist. Even a hint of rebellion would have brought a massacre.

Yao Ming stood with his hands clasped behind his back, the restored Dou Qi around him surging. His 2-Star Dou Saint aura spread like an ocean, and seeing this, the entire tribe felt both awe and relief. The cruel old leaders were gone, and the revered former patriarch had returned — surely, this was a blessing.

Liu Xi only smiled faintly. They’ll learn soon enough how wrong they are.

Qing Lin began forming seals. Her emerald pupils spun faster and faster until the three blossoms merged into one, radiating dazzling light that enveloped the red serpent. The snake convulsed violently as its soul resisted, a heavy pressure erupting from within its frail body.

Then Liu Xi stepped forward and stomped its seven-inch point, his terrifying aura pressing down upon its very soul.

It was only a 1-Star Dou Saint — without Yao Ming’s centuries of endurance and vengeance, it had no hope. Within moments, its resistance crumbled, and the light in its eyes dimmed into obedience.

”Hu~ Young Master, I did it.”

Qing Lin let out a long breath, trembling from exhaustion. Controlling three Dou Saints at once with the Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils strained even her bloodline, yet the power feeding back into her body filled her veins with boundless Dou Qi.

”Well done. But we’re not finished yet,” Liu Xi said, a playful smile tugging at his lips as he nodded toward the orderly ranks of the Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Tribe in the distance.

”Young Master... you mean—”

”Exactly what you’re thinking.”

At his affirmation, Qing Lin’s eyes widened.

Yao Xiaotian, the First Elder, and Yao Ming shifted their forms back into human shape, standing motionless with hollow gazes beside her. Three Dou Saints — her puppets now. Add Liu Xi and Xiao Yixian, and that made five Dou Saints, plus Qing Lin herself, half a step away from another breakthrough.

Before such a lineup, the remaining elders and serpent guards — hundreds of Dou Zuns and Half Saints — couldn’t even dream of resistance.

Two days later, the entire Nine Serene Deep Ground Python Tribe lay under Qing Lin’s control. Which meant, in truth, they now belonged to Liu Xi.

One of the Three Great Beast Tribes of the Beast Region had been completely taken — wiped out in one sweep.

Liu Xi looked to Qing Lin, a faint grin on his lips. ”How does it feel to command three Dou Saints and hundreds of Dou Zuns?”

Qing Lin hesitated for a moment, then answered honestly, ”It feels... incredible. There’s so much Dou Qi flowing into me at all times, it’s like I’m breathing power itself. If this continues, I’ll reach the Dou Saint realm soon. But...”

Her expression softened, voice barely above a whisper. ”It feels unreal — like a dream.”
