BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Above the clear skies outside the Jia Ma Sacred City, space suddenly rippled, and two figures slowly emerged from the distortion. With his hands clasped behind his back, Liu Xi gazed at the towering city ahead, a faint smile tugging at his lips, though his eyes carried a hint of emotion. ”Jia Ma Sacred City... I’ve returned once again.”

He paused briefly before continuing with a chuckle. ”Truly, it’s all thanks to Xiao Yixian. If not for her, the Hall of Souls might’ve succeeded in stealing my home. I gave the Hall of Souls a blow—and they nearly returned the favor.”

As he passed through several cities, each adorned with the Heavenly Alliance’s banners, Liu Xi naturally understood what had transpired in his absence. The chaos caused by the Profound Lion Sect had long spread across the land—everyone knew the tale of that fateful war.

The place known as Ghostly Despair—where even ghosts would weep—had become a sacred site, a witness to a divine miracle. Brave souls who dared venture within sometimes returned with relics of fallen Profound Lion Sect experts. Even those who once doubted the Heavenly Alliance would tremble before the sight, their arrogance vanishing instantly.

”Yes, all thanks to Sister Xian’er,” Qing Lin said softly, awe filling her eyes. ”Otherwise, the Sky Serpent Mansion might’ve perished as well. Mansion Lord taught me once, and I owe her a great debt.”

Her clear blue eyes flickered with envy. ”Zi Yan has already broken through to the Dou Saint realm, and Sister Xian’er too. But I, even after following you through countless adventures, remain only a 9-Turn Dou Zun...”

Liu Xi laughed, wrapping an arm around her slender waist. ”You are all my beloved ones; there’s no need to compare. If you want to break through to the Dou Saint realm, we’ll take another trip to the Beast Region. I’ll help you achieve it.”

With a faint smile, he stepped forward, space rippling underfoot, and in just a few strides, they arrived before the grand gates of the Jia Ma Sacred City.

The first thing Liu Xi did upon his return was to go home—to the place tied to his very bloodline.

His parents were healthy and thriving, their youth seemingly restored under the Heavenly Alliance’s protection. Whenever they ventured outside, Dou Huang guards followed closely behind, terrified that even the wind might harm them.

His younger brother, inspired by Liu Xi’s legend and the miracles he had seen at Ghostly Despair, had thrown himself into cultivation with unmatched fervor. Seeing that, Liu Xi stroked his chin thoughtfully. ’So determined, huh? Then as an older brother... I should give him a proper gift.’

Soon, news of Liu Xi’s return spread like wildfire. Every powerhouse of the Jia Ma Empire rushed to greet him—some out of reverence, others simply hoping to gain favor. Even experts from across half the Northwest Region flocked to the capital, though most were turned away.

Liu Xi only met with the familiar few—Jia Xingtian, Hai Bodong, Fa Ma, Nalan Jie, Miteer Tengshan, and Mu Chen—now all high-ranking members of the Heavenly Alliance. Their influence stretched far beyond what the old empire had ever commanded.

Though once peers, each of them now spoke to Liu Xi with deep respect. Amused, Liu Xi merely smiled, gifting each of them with 8th Tier Pills. Grateful tears filled their eyes.

He also met with his old teacher, Xuan Hao, who had greatly benefited from the Azure Spirit Life Extension Pill Liu Xi gave him years ago. Now, rejuvenated and full of vitality, Xuan Hao had reached 9-Star Dou Wang and become a respected 5th Tier Alchemist.

After handling outside affairs, it was time for personal ones. Smiling softly, Liu Xi walked into the inner hall, dismissing the maids before entering alone.

Whoosh!

A fragrance of herbs filled the air as a soft figure flew into his embrace. White-haired and robed in white, Xiao Yixian’s slender frame trembled slightly as she whispered, ”Young Master, I missed you.”

Holding her close, Liu Xi’s eyes softened. ”I missed you too. This time, it’s all thanks to you. Without you, the Heavenly Alliance would’ve fallen, and this home would’ve been lost.”

”Mm...” Xiao Yixian murmured softly, eyes shimmering with emotion.

Looking up, Liu Xi saw Qing Lin smiling gently and Yun Yun watching quietly, her eyes full of admiration and anticipation.

’Life truly is beautiful,’ Liu Xi thought with a faint sigh.

”This Profound Lion Sect crisis was thanks to you, Xiao Yixian—and to the Heavenly Alliance’s unity,” Yun Yun said softly. ”Had the Hall of Souls’ puppets attacked unchecked, even one of their Dou Zuns could’ve leveled the empire.”

Her tone was full of gratitude. With her 3-Star Dou Zun strength and two Heavenly Demon Puppets, she had still nearly fallen. Now, her faith in Liu Xi was absolute. He had predicted everything, left them resources, puppets, even Xiao Yixian herself—nothing was left to chance.

”No matter how cunning the Hall of Souls may be,” Liu Xi said calmly, ”the debt they owe will be repaid in time. But first... let’s talk about gifts.”

Patting Xiao Yixian’s back, he gently loosened his embrace and retrieved a gray scroll from his Storage Ring, handing it to her.

”Xian’er, this is the Sky Quiet Poison Code, the life’s work of the ancient Poison Saint. With your Woeful Poison Body, you’ll perfect this art beyond anything he could’ve imagined.”

Joy lit Xiao Yixian’s eyes as she accepted the scroll. ”Thank you, Young Master. I love it.”

”You and I don’t need such words.”

Then, Liu Xi pulled out a small, lively rabbit, dangling it by its ears. ”Yun’er, this is a Pill Beast—a spirit born from an 8th Tier Pill with nine-colored Pill Lightning. Since you’ve already taken the Replenishing Origin Pill, this creature will accelerate your breakthrough to Half Saint. Once you reach the Dou Saint realm, I’ll help you again.”

Yun Yun’s lips parted in shock, her hands trembling. ”This... this is far too precious...”

Liu Xi only smiled and placed the rabbit in her hands, gently squeezing her soft fingers. ”Nonsense. It’s just a Pill Beast. You, however... are priceless.”

His gaze swept over the three women. ”All of you are my treasures.”

Though his words were teasing, the warmth behind them was genuine—and judging by the flushed faces and bright smiles, all three women felt it deeply.
