BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Liu Xi’s voice slowly faded into the air.

The commander, already broken by Liu Xi’s ruthless methods, sat there blankly with lifeless eyes, his entire expression dull and vacant, ready to spill everything he knew without reservation.

”The Nine Serene Ground Python Tribe has yet to agree, but Yao Xiaotian has already been tempted. The blood of the Ancient Heavenly Serpent is something he cannot refuse.”

”The Heaven Demon Phoenix Tribe is also among those contacted. Their Tribe Leader, Huang Tian, has gladly accepted the offer, but he demanded that once the Eastern Dragon Island is defeated, he be allowed to take away the Dragon Emperor...”

”The North Dragon King agreed to that?”

Liu Xi interrupted him, his gaze cold and sharp as killing intent flickered in his eyes. So that old beast really knows something. I see, he’s connected the ancient beast remains in the ruins with the Dragon Emperor’s mysterious rise.

The commander nodded weakly. ”Yes! The North Dragon King agreed. He said that a dragon who brings chaos to the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe is unworthy of dying in the Dragon Tomb.”

”Heh...”

Liu Xi suddenly let out a dark laugh. The North Dragon King truly lived up to his infamy—master of double standards. When it came to causing chaos among the Ancient Void Dragons, if the North Dragon King claimed second place, no one would dare claim first.

”What your North Dragon King said makes sense. A dragon that throws the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe into chaos indeed doesn’t deserve to die in the Dragon Tomb. I’ll make sure to tell your Dragon Emperor that.”

”Save me! I told you everything I know—you have to keep your word!” The commander’s voice trembled weakly. His blood had almost completely drained, and if he wasn’t treated soon, there would be no hope of recovery.

Liu Xi gave him a sideways glance and replied lightly, ”Did I ever promise you anything? I don’t recall doing that.”

”You—!” The commander’s eyes widened in disbelief. Indeed, this man had never promised him a thing.

Liu Xi flicked his sleeve casually, and the entire hall’s space twisted violently. In that instant, both the commander and the three rebellious dragons from North Dragon Island were caught within it.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The space churned like a colossal millstone, grinding the four of them into misty red vapor—blood, flesh, and bone reduced to nothing but dust before being devoured by the void itself.

Xiao Yixian stepped forward, her expression clouded with concern. She frowned slightly and asked, ”Young Master, shouldn’t we hurry to the Ancient Void Dragon Tribe? Zi Yan might need our help right now.”

Qing Lin also nodded in agreement.

But Liu Xi shook his head and said calmly, ”The plan remains unchanged. Right now, Zi Yan holds the advantage. As long as they’re still Ancient Void Dragons, no one can truly rise against her. We’ll first help her by eliminating her external threats—starting with the Nine Serene Ground Python Tribe. We’ll make them ours.”

”Young Master, how are we going to do that? I... I don’t know if I can be of help,” Qing Lin said hesitantly. She was only an Initial Half Saint after all, and the Nine Serene Ground Python Tribe had no shortage of powerful experts. A Half Saint was far from invincible.

”No, it’s precisely because of you that this will work,” Liu Xi replied, smiling faintly. ”We’ll start by visiting the Nine Serene Springs—and bringing someone back.”

The corners of his lips curled upward. He already had a plan in mind—one that could both bring the Nine Serene Ground Python Tribe under control and further strengthen Qing Lin’s power.

”Let’s go.”

Liu Xi waved his sleeve, and the space around them twisted violently. In the blink of an eye, the three figures vanished without a trace, leaving the hall completely silent as if they had never been there at all.

By now, Liu Xi’s mastery of spatial power had reached perfection. He could move freely within the void itself, and with Xiao Yixian’s assistance, their journey through space was even smoother.

They slipped effortlessly through the twisting spatial folds toward the depths of the Underground Serene Snake Networks, unnoticed and undisturbed.

The deeper they went, the stronger the auras became. Liu Xi could feel it—at first, it felt like the strength to crush someone with a finger; now it was strong enough to obliterate them with a single palm.

He couldn’t help but chuckle. Truly, the Nine Serene Ground Python Tribe lived up to its reputation—their strength was overwhelming. To completely wipe them out would indeed be troublesome. There were simply too many of them.

But rather than kill them all, it was better to capture the king first.

Relying on his spatial mastery, Liu Xi effortlessly bypassed the detection of numerous powerful beings and slipped quietly into the deepest reaches of the Underground Serene Snake Networks.

There, in the depths, a vast chasm yawned open before them—dark and boundless. It stretched nearly a hundred zhang across, plunging down endlessly into the abyss. From its depths, a frigid, violent wind roared upward, carrying a bone-piercing chill.

Any ordinary expert standing near its edge would feel that deathly cold seeping into their very bones, gnawing its way from skin to flesh, then to the marrow within.

At the bottom of this abyss lay the Nine Serene Springs, the sacred ground of the Nine Serene Ground Python Tribe—and Liu Xi’s true objective. Hidden there was the key figure capable of controlling the entire tribe.

No guards stood around the chasm’s edge. Everyone knew that the raging cold wind surging from below was the greatest natural defense. Even a Dou Zong who entered it would be frozen to death before long.

Whoosh—

The icy wind howled relentlessly, yet the air suddenly distorted as three figures appeared within the twisting space—it was Liu Xi and his companions.

Without hesitation, Liu Xi gazed into the pitch-black abyss and raised his sleeve once more. Powerful spatial energy wrapped around the trio, forcibly parting the deadly winds as they descended into the darkness below.

Though the abyss was deep, Liu Xi’s speed was terrifying. Within minutes, the vast landscape of an enormous lake emerged in view below.

The lake stretched endlessly, its waters a murky yellow. Yet within that yellow hue swirled faint traces of crimson, strands of blood-colored mist rising and twisting into the air before vanishing into the chill above.

”So this is the Nine Serene Springs,” Liu Xi murmured, a faint smile curving his lips as he approached. The closer he got, the colder the air became, stabbing into his bones like invisible blades.

Kneeling by the shore, he hesitated briefly, then reached into the lake with his hand. The instant his skin touched the water, a biting chill surged through his arm, almost freezing it solid.

A layer of yellow frost quickly spread across his skin, crawling upward toward his shoulder. Liu Xi withdrew his hand and shook it slightly—the ice shattered instantly. With a surge of Dou Qi, the frostbitten skin flushed red before regaining its normal color.

”This chill is terrifying. Even the Nine Serene Ground Pythons probably can’t remain here for long. But that gives us plenty of time,” Xiao Yixian said, frowning. Despite being a Dou Saint immune to heat or cold, she could still feel the numbing coldness seeping into her bones.

”Young Master, who could possibly survive in a place like this?” Qing Lin asked curiously. Though she was only a Half Saint, her serpentine bloodline allowed her to endure the cold far better than most.

”Someone who can help us control the entire Nine Serene Ground Python Tribe—a figure of perfect authority, and the perfect puppet,” Liu Xi replied, eyes glinting. The tribe had three Dou Saints, and he had no intention of letting any of them go. Each one was a perfect offering to strengthen Qing Lin’s Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils.

”Qing Lin, you’ll come down with me. You’ll need to use your Jade Snake Three-Flower Pupils to control the target once we find them.” He turned to Xiao Yixian. ”Xian’er, stay hidden outside. If anyone approaches—capture them if you can. If not, retreat immediately. Leave the rest to me.”

”Understood,” the two women replied in unison.
