However, Shangu Imperial City had truly come, challenging him to a duel on Beacon Tower Mountain and signing a life-and-death contract.

Shangu Imperial City said he was 100% confident in bringing Chu Hao to justice.

Upon hearing this, Chu Hao was furious. When have I ever been so easy to bully? Is my awe-inspiring and domineering presence really so insignificant in the eyes of others? And that mastermind behind the scenes, you better hope I don’t catch you!

This battle had caught the world’s attention. Major media outlets released news, and word spread across the internet, turning Beacon Tower Mountain into a Yin-Yang Person’s arena for a life-and-death duel.

Many people wanted Chu Hao to accept the challenge, saying the ”little Japanese” were too arrogant, while others said Chu Hao didn’t need to meet the challenge.

It was then that another major event shook the entire world!

...

In the outskirts of a northern county town, people saw a golden cicada flying across the sky. Wherever it passed, flowers bloomed everywhere, and lush grass sprouted.

This golden cicada landed on a temple. Within a three to four-mile radius, trees sprouted green leaves, and flowers bloomed across the hills, creating a scene brimming with life that stunned onlookers.

Countless people were shocked. What exactly was happening to the world? First, Ghosts, Evil Spirits, and Demons roamed freely, and now such a miraculous golden cicada had appeared.

What was the origin of this golden cicada?

That day, people saw countless Wandering Wild Ghosts around the temple. They gathered in its vicinity in a daze, then sat cross-legged on the ground, as if listening to something.

Someone captured this on video and posted it online, causing a sensation.

Everyone saw the Wandering Wild Ghosts enveloped in a golden aura, seemingly enjoying it.

A Taoist remarked that these Wandering Wild Ghosts were listening to the golden cicada’s sermon. Though some were skeptical, the scene strongly suggested it.

At that moment, a Monk also spoke up. He was a fifteenth-level Yin Yang Master, highly respected, residing in Lingyin Temple, known as Master Nian Qiong.

Master Nian Qiong said, ”The golden cicada preaches, saving all souls.”

”It really looks like it. Isn’t there a mythological story just like this? Master Hongmeng preached to all beings.”

In the video, on the dilapidated temple, the foremost Wandering Wild Ghost grew a second and then a third head, transforming into a three-headed, six-armed monster. Its form was no longer human but resembled a Ghost Asura from Hell.

This Wild Ghost stood up as if it had an epiphany. Looking up at the sky, it declared, ”From this scripture forward, I am Luo Fu Ghost Noble.”

The Wild Ghost, originally an ordinary spirit, had listened to the golden cicada’s shrill cry and suddenly transformed, emanating an intense, terrifying Ghost Qi.

Besides this one, there was another Wandering Wild Ghost whose appearance before death had been pitiful. This Female Ghost had drowned; her hair was soaked, and her face was covered with frostbite, truly horrifying.

Now, however, she had regained her former appearance, transforming into an exquisitely beautiful Female Ghost with translucent skin and an enchanting allure that outshone human women.

She declared, ”I am Mei Luo, the noble ghost.”

Everyone was tremendously shocked, utterly dumbfounded.

From the video, it was clear that these two Fierce Ghosts had become terrifyingly powerful, having transcended the Ghost King Level.

Chu Hao was also astounded. Through his Fiery Eyes and Golden Pupils, he could see from the video that the souls of these two Fierce Ghosts were not just intact but had also attained a divine quality.

Divinity!

Wasn’t that a quality only possessed by the Underworld King Yanjun and the Divine Deity of the Small Hell?

If these two Wandering Wild Ghosts had awakened the divinity within ghosts, did that not elevate them to the rank of Underworld Deity?

What in the world is going on? Chu Hao was too shocked for words.

Luo Fu Ghost Noble and Mei Luo, the noble ghost, were no longer Wandering Wild Ghosts but ghosts possessing divinity.

Moreover, around the golden cicada were other Wandering Wild Ghosts whose appearances had completely changed, taking on various forms.

One Fierce Ghost was even more terrifying; it had a body thirty feet tall with a ferocious countenance, resembling the evil ghost stone statues in temples, its entire form streaming with surging black Qi, incomparably dreadful.

”What on earth is happening to these ghosts? Can someone please explain?”

”Could it be that the golden cicada is truly out there, liberating all beings?”

”What is the origin of this golden cicada, anyway?”

The video’s release caused a worldwide sensation.

Finally, someone, overcome with curiosity, couldn’t resist approaching the golden cicada. As a result, the person trembled and sat down right there, just like the other Wandering Wild Ghosts, as if listening to something.

”CHIRP...”

The golden cicada was singing, and that person, along with the Ghosts, entered a meditative trance, a stream of golden Qi flowing around their bodies.

After two or three days, this person, who hadn’t eaten or drunk anything, felt no hunger. When they opened their eyes, their entire body brimmed with Yang Energy, radiating light in all directions like a Divine Deity.

The person stood up and bowed deeply in the direction of the golden cicada.

When he returned, someone asked him what had happened. The young man, hailing from the countryside, was a bit nervous from the unaccustomed attention. He revealed that he had awakened as a Yin-Yang Person.

This statement once again shook countless people.

Previously, the young man had been just an ordinary person; his curiosity was the only reason he wanted to see the golden cicada. Others also confirmed that he was just a common man.

Someone tested him and discovered that the Yang Qi within the young man’s body was like a vast ocean, his potential seemingly limitless.

Countless people were dumbfounded, especially ordinary humans, who became incredibly excited and rushed to that mysterious place.

However, by the time numerous people frantically arrived, the golden cicada had vanished without a trace. The dilapidated temple was now occupied by a group of Wild Ghosts.

These Ghosts, unlike those previously encountered, did not harm anyone. Instead, they seemed even more humane. They welcomed the living who arrived, led by Luo Fu Ghost Noble and Mei Luo, the noble ghost, who made a public declaration.

”We hereby announce the establishment of the Ghost Temple here, to shelter homeless Wandering Wild Ghosts. All such spirits may come to this place.”

Damn it!!

A group of ghosts actually wanted to found their own sect?

Countless people were stunned.

Mei Luo, the noble ghost, was beautiful, with a tall figure and coiled black hair, exuding the aura of an unparalleled beauty. The Yin Qi she emitted was still undeniably present, confirming her ghostly nature, yet she seemed more human than human.

Mei Luo, the noble ghost, smiled slightly, a smile of charmingly stunning beauty, and said, ”Ladies and gentlemen, we will not harm humans. Having suffered immensely in life, we only wish to do something for the Ghosts unable to reincarnate.”

The group of living humans was dazed. Although they were faced with an exceptional Female Ghost, these words coming from her mouth felt distinctly odd.

Someone asked, ”Are you... are you human or Ghost now?”

Mei Luo, the noble ghost, replied, ”Ghost.”

Damn it!

The crowd below shivered, their minds reeling. Since when have Ghosts become so amiable?

”Where is the golden cicada?” someone asked the most crucial question.

”The Golden Cicada Master has broken through the void and departed.”

Mei Luo, the noble ghost, referred to the golden cicada as Master, indicating that it was the cicada that had changed the lives of these Ghosts.

A Yin Yang Master said, ”Ghosts cannot remain in the Human World for too long. By establishing the Ghost Temple, aren’t you afraid of losing yourselves?”

Ghosts are meant to reincarnate eventually. If they remain in the Human World for too long, they will surely lose themselves. Ultimately, they will vanish, akin to dust and ashes.

Mei Luo, the noble ghost, shook her head and said, ”No. The teachings of the Golden Cicada Master have empowered us. Besides, in the current Underworld, only a few can reincarnate. This is the chance at life that the Golden Cicada Master has given to us suffering Ghosts.”
