I just wanted you to make a movie: You made a Honkai Star Rail movie

”I really didn’t expect that it would be the unique character design from the game that caused it to go viral.”

Xia Wen looked at the comments on his phone and smiled, reflecting on it with a sense of satisfaction.

He had initially thought that the top-notch special effects would attract fans. However, it was just as well; a short film had showcased the design, special effects, and music all at once. Just by looking at the comments from professionals, one could tell how impressive the short film was.

”At last, we’ve gained this much attention,” Welt said as he adjusted his glasses and smiled contentedly.

”Yeah, you can tell by everyone’s smiles,” Himeko said, feeling a lot of the burden lifted from her shoulders.

”We owe it all to the boss,” Himeko sincerely expressed her gratitude to Xia Wen.

”From now on, we’re all one big family,” Xia Wen said with a wave of his hand, genuinely pleased.

After all, down below, the young girls were all holding their phones, and even the most indifferent among them showed genuine smiles as they looked at the comments.

This had always been their dream, and now it had been fulfilled by Xia Wen himself. Xia Wen was determined to savor this beautiful scene.

Finally, after more than ten minutes had passed and everyone had watched the short film and comments repeatedly, they finally set their phones aside with satisfaction.

”Boss, boss!”

”Now, I’ve finally become a big star!” March 7th said with a blush of excitement and happiness. Due to her prominent appearance in the opening, she received quite a bit of attention.

”Hmm... It seems the boss’s aesthetic has also received public recognition,” Kafka said with a smile, her eyes full of curiosity as she stared at Xia Wen. ”It’s really strange how the boss managed to create designs that fit our appearance and personalities so well.”

”Could it be that the boss had been paying attention to us from early on?”

”Did he even secretly design outfits and makeup for each of us?”

As she spoke, Kafka pondered and looked at Xia Wen with a curious smile. She had originally intended to tease the boss a little but didn’t expect Xia Wen to respond calmly: ”That’s right, and not only does each person have a special makeup and costume design...”

”There are even more surprises.”

”For example, personal promotional videos!”

”If this short film has already garnered so many viewers and praise...”

”Tut, tut, I can’t even imagine how crazy people will go when they see the promotional videos that perfectly showcase you all.”

Xia Wen deliberately smacked his lips, voicing his thoughts.

MiHoYo’s PV script was a major feature that had to be experienced. Xia Wen had been struggling with how to present this part of the content since the PV was a unique aspect of MiHoYo’s IP that had to be showcased in this world.

The initial idea was to integrate each person’s PV into the official story. But later, Xia Wen realized that wouldn’t work well—for instance, the battles in Kafka’s PV and the content related to Stellaron Hunter and the embodiment of void power were essentially designed to serve individual characters. There were also many abstract, stream-of-consciousness PVs that were difficult to handle.

It was better to release them boldly in advance. Looking at the comments, many viewers’ feedback showed that the novelty of transitioning from 2D to 3D was exciting. No show had dared to handle characters in such a way before; usually, it was just behind-the-scenes content or interviews with the main cast.

But if MiHoYo’s method of releasing PVs was used to shape characters in advance, viewers would definitely look forward to how these characters would perform in the official story.

As his thoughts opened up, Xia Wen even came up with another idea: releasing version PV teasers after each episode of the official story. Because for the story, version PV teasers were essentially previews for the next episode! Utilizing all available resources!

”Personal promotional videos!?”

Kafka was taken aback and then shook her head. She didn’t expect the boss to turn the tables on her, revealing such significant information through this topic. Her interest was immediately piqued.

”Oh, I really want to know what the promotional videos will be like~” Kafka’s smile returned, and she found Xia Wen even more interesting. She was eager to see the boss’s embarrassed expression through her teasing.

But the young girls behind her were not so calm. Upon hearing about the personal promotional videos, their eyes lit up as they looked at Xia Wen.

”Will each of us have an opportunity to shine like in a short film?”

Fu Xuan bit her lip, trying to suppress her excitement, her eyes wide as she stared at Xia Wen. ℯℯ𝑙.

”Hmm, not everyone will have the opportunity,” Xia Wen said with a faint smile.

The fact that not everyone would have the chance created a sense of crisis among everyone present, except for Blade.

”So, boss, how can we compete for such opportunities?” Fu Xuan asked almost immediately, her voice a bit anxious.

”It’s confidential for now!” Xia Wen said with a mysterious smile.

Fu Xuan looked up at the tall Xia Wen who had a smile on his face and almost immediately realized that the boss was teasing her again!

Tears of frustration appeared in her big eyes, and her cheeks puffed up a bit from anger.

”Damn it! I want to rush up and bite him hard!” Fu Xuan thought angrily, but her manners told her not to act on it. Nevertheless, her frustration had to be vented. So she took a moment to compose herself and said with a pout:

”Boss!”

”You’re a bad guy!”
