I just wanted you to make a movie: You made a Honkai Star Rail movie

In the Bedroom.

Xia Wen stared blankly at the ceiling, feeling a bit tearful inside.

Damn it!

He was originally a time traveler. But unlike other travelers, Xia Wen ended up with a rich family—no, wait, family!

Long-lost family. To put it simply, it’s a complex family relationship that ended up with only two people left. A cousin and a younger cousin.

That’s what it’s supposed to be, but only Xia Wen knows that his identity was just fabricated by the system. The two people have no blood relation whatsoever.

But unfortunately, his cousin is powerful and quite wealthy.

So Xia Wen had to accept this ”soft life” with tears.

It must be said, it’s actually quite nice.

He initially thought the system’s role was just to fabricate an identity for him to integrate into this world, live well, and enjoy life. After all, his cousin’s assets are in the billions, and even a little pocket money is unimaginable compared to his previous life.

Moreover, the relationship with his cousin was quite harmonious. In such an environment, he was prepared to live a life of comfort and death, enjoying his days until he passed away.

However, the system had a big surprise for him.

”Objective activated.”

”Congratulations, host! You’ve received the full script for Honkai: Star Rail.”

”Special Effects Module activated.”

”Director Module activated.”

”Music Module activated.”

”Please produce a TV series version of Honkai: Star Rail as soon as possible.”

Looking at the system notifications, Xia Wen was puzzled.

”Could it be that I’ve been slacking off recently, and the system couldn’t stand it anymore?”

After a moment of mental complaints, Xia Wen opened the Special Effects Module and Director Module.

At first, he was worried he wouldn’t be able to complete the task. He had no relevant experience in this field. He could film, but how to shoot and edit, he had no clue.

Fortunately, these two modules gave him some hope.

The Special Effects Module could process the original footage with special effects. The speed and quality were terrifyingly high.

In the morning, he tested the system by filming a video of himself, asking the module to turn his environment into a post-apocalyptic scene and dress him in a mecha.

In just an hour, the module produced the finished product. The effect left him in awe. It was even better than top Hollywood effects before he traveled!

After all, no matter how realistic the effects are, you can still tell they’re effects. Too much ”realism” can make it less ”natural.”

But the module’s finished product seamlessly integrated realism and naturalness!

With this, the most crucial part of the special effects for filming Honkai: Star Rail was resolved.

Next was the Director Module.

The Director Module could grant him various filming talents, including the experience of dozens of top directors. More importantly, it gave him a superpower: the ability to see the finished product at a glance.

Normally, what the audience sees is edited footage. However, in reality, the number of shots and footage is several times more. After shooting, the director selects clips that match the rhythm and ideas to edit together. This method is slow and costly.

But with the module, Xia Wen could do it differently! He didn’t need to shoot many takes. From the very beginning, he could see the finished product in his mind. He could just shoot according to that vision.

The Director Module also provided editing, modification, and other film work.

The Music Module provided various music and sound effects for the series.

The module even sent a costume and props package, making it possible for 2D costumes to appear perfectly in 3D.

It was a truly powerful system. It had cleared all obstacles.

”So what can I do now?”

”Just shoot it.”

”I’m also quite curious to see how the Honkai series will be received in this world.”

With this thought, Xia Wen smiled slightly. He wasn’t opposed to filming; he just had a habit of complaining.

On the contrary, before he traveled, MiHoYo’s fantasy world Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Honkai Impact 3rd had all brought him considerable comfort and emotion during difficult times.

So, no matter what, he had to make sure to shoot well.

”It’s just that finding actors...”

”How to find them?”

Everything was ready, but the most critical issue was the actors.

He couldn’t stand having professional actors play these roles because it wouldn’t capture the essence of the characters he envisioned.

----------------------------------

”Ding-dong.”

Just as he was struggling with this, his room door was knocked.

”Xiao Wen, I’m coming in.”

A somewhat lazy but clear voice rang out. Without waiting for a response, the door was pushed open, and a graceful figure walked in.

With shoulder-length hair, a pretty yet graceful face, and wearing a light-colored dress and high heels, her figure was good- looking.

No matter how many times he saw her, Xia Wen couldn’t help but marvel in his heart. How could someone look so much like a character from a 2D world? Even the name was the same.

He couldn’t help but smile, ”Good afternoon, Ningguang.”

”Good... afternoon?”

Ningguang tilted her head slightly, looking at Xia Wen with amusement.

”Xiao Wen, you’re thinking about the TV series again, aren’t you?”

”But don’t worry.”

”I’ve already prepared everything for you.”

Ningguang’s eyes twinkled, and she said with a smile, ”Aren’t you worried about the actors? Well, I’ve just bought a very promising talent agency.”

”Huh?”

Xia Wen stared in shock, ”Ningguang, I was just mentioning it before...”

He hadn’t even decided on what actors to use. He just mentioned it casually after the system issued the task.

He didn’t expect Ningguang to actually buy an agency.

”My dear cousin, even with your strength, you can’t do this.”

”Ningguang, I mean... next time, could you ask me first?”

Xia Wen said with a bitter smile.

”Oh, it was just an eight-digit amount, just a small sum.”

Ningguang leaned against the wall, her eyes full of amusement and indifference.

Clearly, she was serious.

His sister’s dominance once again shocked Xia Wen.

”By the way, I’ve already arranged for you to meet them today as the new boss.”

”It’s best to go early.”

Ningguang said with a smile.

”Got it...”

Xia Wen got up. There was no choice; since his sister had bought the agency, he had to go and see.

Watching Xia Wen drive away from the villa, Ningguang smiled with satisfaction.

”My little brother has grown up and is starting to take on responsibilities.”

”Very good~”

...

On the other side, Xia Wen quickly drove to the address provided by Ningguang.

At the moment he saw the name, he almost couldn’t believe his eyes.

The sign prominently read: MiHoYo Talent Agency.
