Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2875: Chapter 2876: Cliff Village

”Astrologer, send her back to where she was. Just consider it us meddling.” Bai Ruozhu said.

”Alright.” Astrologer replied, but couldn’t help but grumble in his heart. Does she know how expensive that Paper Crane is? How much magic power it takes him to make one? If it wasn’t for the urgent need to save someone, why would he use it?

It’s a pity the one they saved isn’t very sensible.

”How can you do this? It’s murder, I’ll fall to my death.” The woman was somewhat frightened and said aggrievedly.

”You know you’ll fall to your death?” Bai Ruozhu sneered disdainfully, ”If we hadn’t appeared, even if you hadn’t fallen, you’d still be hanging on the cliff now. Don’t you know how to be grateful and speak properly?”

”I- I was just scared.” The woman stomped her foot, ”Thank you isn’t enough, please don’t throw me back.”

Ao Song snorted coldly, ”Answer the question properly, what were you doing in the mountains so late at night?”

The woman wanted to retort that they were also in the mountains late at night, but recalling the ferocity of the two women in front of her, she swallowed her words.

”My name is Kuai Xian. It’s not that I ran into the mountains late at night; I wanted to leave. My home is up there, called Cliff Village. You probably haven’t heard of it.” The woman said with a frown, seemingly reluctant to mention Cliff Village.

”Cliff Village? Is there such a village nearby?” Bai Ruozhu looked at Jianqi. She recently asked Jianqi to investigate the surroundings, perhaps Jianqi knew.

Jianqi shook his head, ”Never heard of it.”

”Years ago, before I was born, people from our village fled to the mountains to escape turmoil. It’s been probably over twenty years.” Kuai Xian added, pursing her lips, ”But the cliff’s too steep; everyone couldn’t get down, so they had to live up there. Everything is particularly simple and crude.”

She continued, ”I was born in Cliff Village and have never seen the outside world. I just wanted to come out and see. I’ve been practicing climbing for several years, and I sneaked out without telling my parents.”

”Your parents won’t let you leave?” Astrologer asked.

”People have tried leaving before, but they never came back. People in the village say they fell to their deaths. I think the outside was so fun they didn’t want to return. But my parents and my grandpa think they fell and wouldn’t let me descend.” Kuai Xian replied.

”Your parents were right; you almost fell to your death.” Astrologer said again.

Kuai Xian’s eyes lit up, ”Did you save me just now? What did you use? It’s incredible. Are you a fairy?”

Before Astrologer could answer, she continued talking to herself, ”You look so handsome, you must be an immortal! Immortal, please take me in. I have nowhere to go; without anyone taking me in, I’ll starve.”

She spoke excitedly and tried to grab Astrologer. Astrologer hurriedly dodged, but she still caught a bit of his sleeve.

”Let go, I don’t need a maid.” Astrologer said coldly, despite usually being gentle, he was always unapproachable.

Ao Song directly grabbed Kuai Xian by the collar and pulled her away.

”Believe it or not, I’ll throw you down?” Ao Song said impatiently.

”Why are you so fierce? I’ve been honest; what more do you want?” Kuai Xian said angrily.

Bai Ruozhu frowned. This girl was probably pampered growing up—how can she be so unaware?

Yet she said they live simply in Cliff Village, but she seemed quite suspicious.

”Take us to Cliff Village, or how will we know if you’re telling the truth.” Ao Song said.

Kuai Xian held her head and cried out, ”Oh my God, I barely escaped. I don’t want to go back. If you want to go, go yourselves. Just climb up from over there, cross that fog, and keep climbing for half an hour.”

”It’s so hard to climb; how did your villagers climb up back then?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

”How would I know? I wasn’t born yet. Maybe they were monkeys.” Kuai Xian said grumpily.

There’s still some distance to the cliff wall in front, how to get up is a problem.

Ao Song thought for a while, then suddenly took off her belt. Her belt is very long, wrapped around her waist several times.

She took out a Hook Claw and tied it to one end of the belt.

”Western Regions’ Heavenly Silkworm Silk, very sturdy.” She said as she threw the Hook Claw, with a clang it hooked onto the cliff wall.

Ao Song tugged it to test its strength, then looked at Bai Ruozhu and said, ”I’ll go over first. If there’s really a village, I’ll signal you.”

”Then be careful.” Bai Ruozhu thought for a moment and quietly called Furball out, letting it climb onto Ao Song’s shoulder. If there’s any situation, Furball can protect her.

Ao Song turned to look at Furball on her shoulder and smiled at Bai Ruozhu, ”Thanks.”

Hey, this girl immediately discovered Furball. As expected of someone from a Hidden Family, her skills aren’t simple.

She stuffed the other end of the belt into Jianqi’s hand, ”Hold it steady.”

”Okay.” Jianqi remained silent and reserved.

Ao Song glanced at Kuai Xian and said to Astrologer, ”Keep an eye on this woman, don’t let her run away. What if she’s with the Dream Demon?”

”Don’t worry.” Astrologer smiled at her, ”Be careful, don’t let your guard down.”

”Got it.” Ao Song waved her hand casually, her toes tapped lightly on the belt, even though it looked sheer like white silk, it supported her whole body. She ran lightly along the belt towards the cliff wall.

Kuai Xian watched, stunned, ”Are you all immortals?”

Astrologer ignored her, as her tugging his sleeve made him very disgusted. Bai Ruozhu also ignored her, considering not tying her up already polite enough.

Over there Ao Song quickly climbed up the cliff wall, swiftly like a nimble monkey, soon disappearing from sight. Bai Ruozhu then realized that the mountain appeared not very tall, but actually the mountain top isn’t truly visible, covered by clouds and mist, there’s still quite some distance above.

By Kuai Xian’s account, it takes half an hour to climb, even if ordinary people climb slowly, there’s some distance.

They waited for quite some time, about half an hour passed, but Ao Song didn’t signal down.

Bai Ruozhu and Astrologer exchanged glances, wondering if something happened. Is there a trap up there?

Suddenly, a white figure appeared from the clouds, shouting at them, ”I gave you a signal, why didn’t you come?”

”We didn’t see a signal.” Bai Ruozhu shouted loudly.

Ao Song looked up at the clouds above her head and probably knew why.

”There’s indeed a village up there, Kuai Xian is the village chief’s granddaughter. When I went up, everyone was searching for her. They were too enthusiastic, kept talking to me, delaying me for a long time before coming down.” Ao Song said again, ”You guys come up one by one, let’s go check out the village.”
