Chapter 2860: Chapter 2861: Bai Dragon’s Assistance

Ning Yu showed a look of loss, ”Why doesn’t Master come to find me? Why does he keep it from me?”

”Probably it’s inconvenient,” Ao Song speculated, ”Or maybe he has gained new life, and it has nothing to do with the past, so he doesn’t want to affect your life.”

”Perhaps,” Ning Yu returned to his residence in disappointment.

”Big brother, maybe the National Master doesn’t want to carry that identity anymore. He’s done what he needed to do,” the Astrologer said, seeing him sullen, trying to persuade him.

Ning Yu nodded, ”Maybe Master will show up in a while.”

”Yes, perhaps he didn’t want to hide it from you, just happened to miss you,” said the Astrologer.

Only then did Ning Yu feel slightly better.

The next day, Consort Le brought Prince Xi over, Ao Song talked about his plan.

”I plan to set up a Great Formation to absorb the power of heaven and earth to help Sister Ruozhu gather her soul. As long as her soul condenses, she can return to her body. The Soul Gathering Array is too difficult to form, not to say when involving the power of heaven and earth. Hence, it must take place in a place rich with dragon qi, through the protection of dragon qi to succeed.”

She said while looking at Prince Xi, ”Prince Xi’s curse can be lifted; it’s just that he’s too young. Lifting the curse directly is harmful to his body, but as long as the Soul Gathering Array forms, he only needs to be slightly infected by the array’s leaked qi outside the formation to lift the curse without harming his body.”

It turned out to be so, Bai Ruozhu admired Ao Song even more, don’t underestimate her youthful age, she even knows about the Soul Gathering Array, while Ning Yu and others only know a small portion.

Ning Yu and the others started to feel happy, Jing Shuang also stepped out to offer help with the formation.

”You all can’t escape, I can’t handle it alone,” Ao Song said with a smile.

”Let me know whatever you need, and I’ll handle it,” Jiang Yichun said.

Ao Song waved his hand, ”You just make sure Sister Ruozhu is safe; she’s very fragile during this period, and the Imperial Palace is not absolutely safe. Leave the preparations to your Emperor; after all, it’s for his son’s sake.”

She mentioned Tang Yin without a trace of reverence, yet Consort Le seemed very calm, obviously accustomed to it.

In the following days, Tang Yin had the items ready that Ao Song needed, and Ao Song taught everyone how to set up the formation and cast spells, but when everything was ready, Ao Song refused to start.

”It’s not the time yet, wait,” she said.

”What are we waiting for? An auspicious day or someone specific?” Jiang Yichun asked anxiously.

”Just wait. That’s what the divination says,” clearly Ao Song didn’t know what exactly they were waiting for.

Bai Ruozhu’s soul returned to her body, she thanked Ao Song face to face, ”Thank you for your hard work, traveling such a far distance for this.”

”No hard work at all. I also happened to feel bored at home, so I came out to have some fun,” she said casually, like taking a walk outside.

Sangta rushed over upon seeing Bai Ruozhu, his eyes sparkling.

”Ruozhu, you should get well soon! Our Barbarian Clan would like to invite you as a guest,” he said excitedly.

Jiang Yichun walked over to block his line of sight, ”Is Ruozhu what you call her?”

”I’m friends with Ruozhu, why can’t I call her that?” Sangta shouted.

Everyone’s clamor made it feel like back to the old times, the atmosphere turned slightly more relaxed.

A week passed like this, one morning Ao Song suddenly said, ”It’s time, right at noon today.”

No one saw her perform any divination; it was like she casually picked the time, but they couldn’t say otherwise and had no choice but to go along with her.

Everyone prepared, Tang Yin dispatched a large trusted force to guard the Yangxin Hall, to prevent anyone from coming in to cause trouble at this crucial time.

Consort Le also brought Prince Xi to the Yangxin Hall, waiting outside the formation.

”Let’s begin,” Ao Song put away her playful attitude, her entire persona turned exceptionally serious.

Ning Yu, the Astrologer, Jing Shuang, Chushuang stood at the four corners, Ao Song stood at the center of the formation, five of them started drawing the array formations simultaneously.

Each of them drew differently, yet with similarities, their arrays slowly connected together, forming a giant Soul Gathering Array.

At three quarters past noon, the formation was completed, at the peak of yang qi, a thread of dragon qi was drawn into the formation, blending into the diagram.

The diagram slowly brightened up, the scene was truly magical, as if some energy was burning, that moment would remain unforgettable years later.

The array ultimately converged to a single point, which was Bai Ruozhu’s body on the jade bed, all the brightness infused into her body.

Jiang Yichun was extremely nervous, he knew he couldn’t allow thoughts of negativity, yet feared Ao Song’s method might not work, worried Ao Song might instead make things worse due to limited strength.

Furthermore, he thought of Bai Ruozhu coming from another place, worried even if the array could heal her, it might send her back.

But as long as she could live well, even if they had to part, he accepted it, as long as she could live well!

Bai Ruozhu still couldn’t speak, couldn’t return to her body, she only felt increasingly stronger, even more solid than after special rest.

It seemed her soul was soon to stabilize and return to her body.

However, then the energy converging into her soul was suddenly absorbed into Space, diverting towards the sleeping Dragon Egg.

”This is bad! How could this happen!” Chushuang was shocked because she saw the light points converging towards Bai Ruozhu redirecting towards the air beside her, unsure where they went.

Ao Song wasn’t startled, ”Hold steady, don’t mind anything else.”

Large amounts of formation’s power flooded into the Dragon Egg, the White Dragon let out a dragon cry, awakening from slumber.

”What happened?” It asked Bai Ruozhu confusedly.

”I was affected by a Transfer Technique, after the opponent’s death, my soul left the body. They are using a Soul Gathering Array to gather my soul, but it seems the array’s energy was absorbed by you,” Bai Ruozhu said helplessly, ”Looks like this method is about to fail.”

The White Dragon didn’t emerge from the egg, its form diminished, floating, inspecting her.

”I didn’t expect to harm you, but your evil aura remains, even gathering your soul wouldn’t help. Alright then, I’ll absorb the evil aura you were infected with due to the Transfer Technique,” the White Dragon said, opening its mouth to suck hard, streams of black aura surged towards the Dragon Egg, soon the egg turned black, the White Dragon also changed to a Black Dragon.

Bai Ruozhu exclaimed, ”White Dragon, are you alright? Won’t this affect you?”

The White Dragon laughed, ”I gained your heavenly power, about to become a Dragon God. However, our Dragon Clan values integrity greatly, I shouldn’t take your benefits without helping in return, naturally I’ll aid you in resurrection.”

”Dragon God?” Bai Ruozhu realized it was positive, ”But how did you become black?”

”Contaminated by the evil aura, I’ll be a Fallen Dragon God in the future. I shall venture to the Divine Realm, the Dragon Ball will seek me on its own. Farewell, thanks to you all for freeing me from hatred, showing me what true love is.”
