Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2777: Chapter 2778: Little Princess

Although Gao Zhou was not the biological son of Elder Jiang Ge, he was born of the same mother as Jiang Xuexiang. The brothers were deeply moved upon meeting, and they drank quite a lot together. In the end, Jiang Xuexiang got heavily drunk and spent the night at the Bai Residence.

Once they had finished meeting all their relatives and friends, the two leisurely proceeded to the Palace to see the Emperor.

Tang Yin said helplessly, ”Do any of you even remember me?”

”I heard that Your Majesty is expecting a child. Congratulations, congratulations! We are here to bid farewell to Your Majesty; we also miss our children.” Jiang Yichun said.

Tang Yin was initially about to flare up, but recalling they hadn’t seen their children for nearly a year, his heart softened somewhat.

”So when will you be back?” he asked, indicating his permission for them to leave.

”We’re not sure yet; it depends on the plans at home at that time.” Bai Ruozhu replied.

”You’re not planning to just disappear and live in seclusion, are you?” Tang Yin asked angrily.

Jiang Yichun gazed earnestly at his wife. As long as she wanted to live in seclusion, he would accompany her.

Bai Ruozhu shook her head, a resolute gleam in her eyes, ”Rest assured, Your Majesty, it’s not time for us to live in seclusion yet.”

She would not forget Ma Tongfang’s matter, nor the innocent people and Achun’s uncle. It wouldn’t end just like this; otherwise, she wouldn’t have peace in her heart throughout her life.

”Alright, Bai Ruozhu, I believe you will keep your words. Remember to come back soon.” Tang Yin was in a good mood, ”Le Pinsheng keeps mentioning you, so you should go and see her too.”

Bai Ruozhu secretly muttered to herself, still just Le Pinsheng, not granted a higher rank. Other concubines are expecting children.

”By the way, there’s someone you should see. Send her back to Beiyu City along the way.” Tang Yin suddenly said.

Bai Ruozhu’s expression changed. Sending back to Beiyu City, could it be...

”She’s in the Jingxin Temple outside the city. Go have a look.” Tang Yin sighed.

Sending back to Beiyu City, and in Jingxin Temple, is someone who could make the Emperor sigh, there was only one possibility.

Bai Ruozhu always thought Meng Jinse was dead; unexpectedly she was alive, and didn’t know what suffering she endured.

Back then, when King Rui usurped the throne, Tang Yin fled to Beiyu City with his followers, and King Rui captured Meng Jinse, who was visiting her family in the Capital, and even announced to the world his intention to marry her as an Empress, holding a grand ceremony.

But it was not honor but blatant provocation.

Everyone knew Meng Liangshen was the confidant of Tang Yin. Marrying Meng Liangshen’s eldest daughter as Empress was not only to make Tang Yin suspicious of Meng Liangshen but also to slap both Tang Yin and Meng Liangshen.

As a result, on the wedding night, Meng Jinse resolutely attempted to assassinate King Rui. Although she did not succeed, it let the world know her fierceness.

But imagining what she went through later was easy.

Afterward, King Rui fell from power; as a traitor Empress, how could she have fared any better?

Thankfully, Tang Yin, in his kindness, arranged for her to be in Jingxin Temple, otherwise...

But Bai Ruozhu and Jiang Yichun exchanged a glance; Jingxin Temple was not exactly a clean place. Yet, having been away for so long, the circumstances might have changed and even if they hadn’t changed, it couldn’t be mentioned otherwise it would affect Meng Jinse’s reputation.

Bai Ruozhu first excused herself to see Le Pinsheng, while Tang Yin stayed to talk with Jiang Yichun.

Truth be told, she really did not want to visit the harem, especially when one of the Emperor’s concubines was about to give birth.

She only wished to leave easily, preferably immediately tomorrow. But now with Meng Jinse’s matter, it seemed a few days delay was inevitable.

”Bai Ruozhu seeks to meet Le Pinsheng.” She informed the palace maid, who excitedly went to report, soon ushering her in.

Upon seeing Le Pinsheng with her large pregnant belly, Bai Ruozhu was astounded; so the one about to give birth was actually Le Pinsheng?

The Emperor was truly shameless, deliberately vague, letting her meet Le Pinsheng, presumably wanting her to deliver the baby?

She never imagined it was Le Pinsheng, especially since before she left, Le Pinsheng’s health hadn’t recovered, and she thought it difficult for her to have children.

It seemed Jiu Sheng had treated Le Pinsheng very well, and Le Pinsheng was in high spirits, when the mood was good, the body was easier to heal, otherwise, things would be counterproductive.

”What are you just standing there for? Come sit.” Le Pinsheng said smilingly, her voice louder than before, seemingly more cheerful.

Bai Ruozhu quickly paid respects, then sat beside her, ”Shall I check the pulse for you, madam?”

Le Pinsheng waved her hand with a smile, ”No hurry, no hurry, quickly tell me about the interesting things on your journey, was it dangerous at sea?”

”Dangerous, once we encountered an Eight-clawed Creature bigger than this Palace...” Bai Ruozhu suddenly felt it inappropriate; what if she scared people?

She quickly changed the subject, ”We visited an island east of Fusang. I don’t know where they got the custom, but they bound men’s feet. You wouldn’t know, from old men to young boys, all have bound feet. A group of venerable elders from the village came to welcome us, a group of slow-moving old men with small feet, we almost burst out laughing.”

”Men with bound feet?” Le Pinsheng could not help but laugh, ”How peculiar.”

”We also encountered very hairy men on another island who thought we were ugly, saying we were hairless all over.” Bai Ruozhu herself laughed.

Le Pinsheng laughed again, then suddenly furrowed her brow, ”Oh, my belly hurts a bit.”

Bai Ruozhu quickly checked her pulse, realizing it wasn’t an issue with the body, but she was going into labor!

She was speechless; she randomly entered the Palace only to encounter a royal birth.

”Ruozhu, don’t be afraid, it’s my second child, it will be easy.” Le Pinsheng suddenly said.

Bai Ruozhu was amused; Le Pinsheng had indeed changed greatly, even trying to comfort her.

”Jiu Sheng predicted it’s a little princess this time.” Le Pinsheng smiled, ”Both His Majesty and I hope for a princess.”

”That’s wonderful, congratulations, madam.” Bai Ruozhu said enviously; she too wanted a daughter, a daughter!

Soon, beads of sweat appeared on Le Pinsheng’s forehead as the contractions intensified, and Tang Yin and Jiang Yichun rushed over upon hearing the news.

This time, Le Pinsheng’s birth was very smooth, just as she said, it was easy for her second child, and before long, a loudly crying little princess entered the world.

”My princess has a loud voice; she’ll have a fiery temper in the future.” Tang Yin said, laughing.

Bai Ruozhu was helping Le Pinsheng expel the blood clots, and quickly said softly, ”A girl shouldn’t be too spoiled; she should be like you, madam.”

Le Pinsheng, still in good spirits, laughed and said, ”Not like me, I was too muddleheaded before. She should be like you, strong and adventurous, plus have a good husband...how about you become her godmother?”

”What?” Bai Ruozhu was taken aback; while she did like the little princess, how could anyone be a godmother to a princess?

”You delivered her, being her godmother is just perfect. She will surely have a peaceful and fulfilling life.” Le Pinsheng said joyously, then instructed the accompanying nanny, ”Go quickly tell His Majesty, I want the princess to recognize Ruozhu as a godmother.”

The nanny happily ran out to convey the message, and Bai Ruozhu did not even have time to stop her.

Tang Yin, upon hearing, immediately said, ”Alright, let’s do that!”
