Chapter 2640: Chapter 2641: Helpless Before the Demon

”Master...” Shanhu murmured, but Master Xuchenzi was distracted and didn’t hear her.

Shanhu felt even more puzzled, but her master had always been strict, no matter how deep her doubts were, she didn’t dare to casually ask.

But today’s master was really too strange.

Others didn’t know Xuchenzi well and didn’t pay attention to this detail.

Soon, the group was driven out of the Emperor’s Sleeping Palace, and when they arrived, the astrologer had already gotten there first.

”This matter happened too suddenly, so His Majesty also invited Master Astrologer and Master Puru,” Da Gu explained.

Bai Ruozhu nodded, it should be this way, they can’t shoulder everything, right?

At this moment, quite a few people gathered in the bedchamber, including the dazed Prince Wen De and the worried-looking Second Prince.

However, Empress Yazi and Empress Shangzi were not present, and not a single princess could be seen. Clearly, no one in the imperial family had been informed of the matter yet. The Second Prince was only aware because it needed to be checked whether he was pregnant.

Bai Ruozhu could understand it, a grown man suddenly becomes pregnant. If word got out, it would not only seem bizarre but would indeed make people want to laugh, even if the Emperor was calm he wouldn’t want his wife and daughter to know, right?

The group went forward to offer their respects, and the Emperor looked like he saw his saviors, hurriedly saying: ”Thanks for coming so late at night.”

”Your Majesty is too kind,” Jiang Yichun replied courteously.

In the time spent talking, Prince Wen De was already sitting dully, his gaze not landing on anyone else.

The astrologer spoke up, ”Lord Bai, you are skilled in medicine, please check His Majesty first.”

”Alright.” Bai Ruozhu did not refuse and went over to take the Emperor’s pulse.

This time she took pulses for a long time, even Jiang Yichun had never seen her spend so much time taking someone’s pulse, even frowning several times during it.

”Dad, please check too,” After a moment, she looked up at Gao Zhou and said.

”Okay.” Gao Zhou went over to take the Emperor’s pulse, similarly taking a long time, occasionally showing signs of astonishment.

For the Emperor, every moment was torment; he wished the Imperial Doctor had made a mistake, how could a grown man be pregnant?

”How is it?” He couldn’t help but ask.

Bai Ruozhu and Gao Zhou exchanged a glance, evidently reaching the same conclusion.

”From the pulse, it does indicate pregnancy, but how could a man be pregnant without a uterus?” Gao Zhou couldn’t help but mutter, ”It would be great if we had a B-ultrasound.”

Fortunately, the Emperor didn’t hear clearly and didn’t ask further, otherwise explaining would have been troublesome.

”It indeed indicates pregnancy in the pulse, from various observations it seems very likely that His Majesty might experience symptoms like a typical pregnant woman, even with his belly growing bigger day by day,” Bai Ruozhu spoke, feeling it unbelievably mysterious herself, but after experiencing so much, is there anything impossible?

The Emperor turned pale, probably becoming somewhat emotional, he suddenly covered his mouth and retched a few times. Shanhu watched with eyes wide open, wasn’t this the same reaction she had? Could it be the Emperor could actually give birth?

Then a palace servant announced, ”Master Puru requests an audience.”

Following that, Master Puru came in, and the Emperor quickly welcomed him, saying with a distressed look: ”Master, please guide me.”

After speaking, he again unfortunately retched twice.

Master Puru’s face had been disfigured by burns, his skin hadn’t grown back well, and his face was tight, but even so, everyone still saw his expression of amazement.

To the Emperor, Master Puru was his spiritual guide, encountering such an issue, he hoped to find spiritual solace from his guide, yet even Master Puru was shocked, could men really be pregnant?

”Your Majesty, do not panic, this is all a test, it will pass,” Master Puru finally thought of comforting words after a long pause.

Bai Ruozhu didn’t want him to panic too much and spoke, ”Let’s check Prince Wen De and the Second Prince, and also Empress Yazi, who was controlled by a poisonous insect, I wonder if she’s been examined by the Imperial Doctor?”

”She has been, mother is fine, and I’m also alright,” the Second Prince replied.

This is strange then, does it have nothing to do with being controlled by the poisonous insect?

Bai Ruozhu was about to take Wen De’s pulse, but Wen De suddenly screamed, ”Don’t touch me, help, you freak, stay away from me!”

He screamed extremely fearfully, his body trembling as if the other was terribly scary. Shameful emotions filled his eyes, Bai Ruozhu vaguely felt he was contaminated somehow.

Being a fujoshi herself, images involuntarily appeared in her head, could Prince Wen De have been *** and then became pregnant? Just like in BL stories where the male leads keep doing it and end up having a child?

After thinking about it, she found it laughable, this was completely something fujoshis imagined, entirely impossible.

Da Gu had two palace servants hold Prince Wen De down and explained: ”Since Prince Wen De was found he has been like this, he does not know what he is saying, Lord Bai please examine him.”

Perhaps they might discover some secret on Wen De.

Bai Ruozhu went up to take Wen De’s pulse, Wen De continued shouting the whole time, making it seem like Bai Ruozhu was about to *** him, finally she found it too noisy and simply tapped his mute acupoint.

Afterward, Gao Zhou examined him as well, the result being the same as the Emperor’s, it was a happy pulse.

But the Second Prince had no such condition, after Bai Ruozhu and Gao Zhou checked him, it verified that the palace’s Imperial Doctors were indeed not mediocre, which greatly relieved the Imperial Doctors waiting aside.

Yet they truly hoped they had misdiagnosed, how could this be possible!

Once the matter was confirmed, the Emperor slumped into his chair, ”Is there any way to... abort?”

”Your Majesty mustn’t, it wounds the dragon’s body too much!” an old Imperial Doctor shouted.

The Emperor’s mouth twitched, was he to let his belly grow and deliver this inexplicable child without suffering bodily harm?

Bai Ruozhu did not know what to do, she found it odd, how could she know a way to abort?

Out of the corner of her eye, she suddenly found the astrologer staring at the Emperor’s belly with an odd expression, seemingly having realized something.

”I have heard of this situation before, it’s caused by a monster called Nahe Demon, it can make people mysteriously pregnant, and after ten months they give birth to a monster, a young Nahe Demon. However, it’s the first time I heard of a Nahe Demon making a man pregnant. They usually want to extend their descendants, choosing a woman seeking a child, aiding them unknowingly in birthing a demon child,” Xuchenzi suddenly said.

The Emperor finally noticed her, seeing her dressed in a Yin Yang Master’s robe, he asked, ”Who is this?”

Da Gu introduced: ”This is Elder Xuchenzi from Yuchen Palace.”

Upon hearing Yuchen Palace, the Emperor immediately showed delight, ”Unexpectedly the Yuchen Palace elder honors us, truly an oversight.”
