Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 2628: Chapter 2629: Tang Feng’s Agitation

”Afraid to speak? You’re going to die anyway, what else is there to fear?” Bai Ruozhu showed an impatient expression, ”If you don’t want to talk, so be it. We don’t have time to waste here.”

With that, she stabbed Hui Zi with the dagger once more.

Fangzi softened a bit, couldn’t help but call out, whispering, ”Her stomach, the stomach.”

When Bai Ruozhu was in the Mountain Village, she was targeted by the village gossips, but she still rescued pregnant Hui Zi, not out of saintliness, but because she pitied the innocent child.

But now, she felt no mercy for Hui Zi, because earlier Furball had told her some things.

”She is indeed pregnant,” Bai Ruozhu said, and everyone looked at her, unsure of what she was going to say.

She used the dagger to lift Hui Zi’s chin, making Hui Zi’s eyes meet hers.

”But she doesn’t want this child, or rather she doesn’t care for it, using the fetus in her womb to raise Poisonous Insects!”

Fangzi couldn’t help but scream in disbelief, ”Using her own child to raise Poisonous Insects?”

”Otherwise, how do you think she suddenly knew how to raise Poisonous Insects? With her malice, if she had these insects before, she would have used them against you long ago. It was Song Yi who gave her the Poisonous Insects; she used the blood and flesh of the child in her womb to feed them. Which means there’s no child in her womb, just disgusting bugs!” Bai Ruozhu said.

Thinking about the Poisonous Insects just now, Fangzi retched and gagged.

Hui Zi’s face changed drastically, panic-stricken she said, ”What bugs, he just helped me abort the child, and the bugs are for my protection.”

Bai Ruozhu sneered, ”He didn’t tell you, did he? Once your child is consumed, those Poisonous Insects still need nourishment, so they’ll continue devouring your organs. You’ve only been pregnant for a few days, the fetus hasn’t formed yet, and it won’t last long feeding the Poisonous Insects, so now they’re eating you instead.”

”You’re lying, you’re trying to scare me,” Hui Zi shouted in disbelief.

”We’re about to kill you anyway, do we still need to lie?” Bai Ruozhu said as she placed the dagger against her neck, ready to slice it.

Hui Zi was terrified, knowing Bai Ruozhu wasn’t just bluffing, she quickly shouted, ”I’ll talk, I’ll tell you everything!”

”Song Yi found me and said he could help me get revenge, and also solve my big troubles, but I had to listen to him. Later, he gave me the Poisonous Insects, saying it was just for self-defense and he’d take them back later. I was scared at first, but knowing he’d take them back, I wasn’t afraid anymore.”

”How did you get General Chisong to send soldiers to help you?” Bai Ruozhu asked again.

”No, it wasn’t my plan; it was Song Yi’s orders, he instructed me and General Chisong to do as told. He hasn’t mentioned what’s next, just said Fangzi and Yaxi shouldn’t die.” Hui Zi pleaded, ”I really don’t want to harm you anymore, he deceived me, I don’t want to die, you know how to remove Poisonous Insects, please save me.”

Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but laugh, ”I’m not stupid, why would I save you? But I can help you find relief and make it easier for you.”

Before Hui Zi could react, Bai Ruozhu slashed her dagger, leaving a gruesome wound on Hui Zi’s neck, causing her to collapse to the ground.

Fangzi turned pale with fright and fainted. Bai Ruozhu felt a little remorseful, she shouldn’t have acted in front of Fangzi, the young girl had suffered enough fright today.

”Let’s get out of here, the dungeon is already surrounded outside.” Jiang Yichun said.

”Alright, Tang Feng, take care of Yaxi, Lan Ying, you can handle Fangzi, right?” Bai Ruozhu asked.

”No problem, I can carry her,” Feng Lanying mostly let mechanical puppets do the fighting, so it was convenient to carry a person.

The group rushed to the entrance, seeing Qiu Zhi throwing fire talismans outside, burning several soldiers. Bai Ruozhu was somewhat surprised, previously Qiu Zhi would surely abide by the rules of Dragon Tiger Gate, not retaliating unless attacked first.

Now he’s adapted and learned to protect himself.

”You finally came, let’s find a way to break out,” Qiu Zhi said.

Bai Ruozhu thought for a while, then took out a fire grenade from her space, threw it into the adjacent prison cell, and set the straw inside on fire.

Everyone understood she intended to blow up the place, and quickly rushed outside.

Now Bai Ruozhu didn’t have to hold back, using poison, she also released Xiaohei and Furball to assist, and the group went on a killing spree, soon breaking out of General Chisong’s Residence.

Afraid of further incidents, everyone quickly returned to the Posthouse, and then sent someone to inform Fangzi and Yaxi’s families.

Shortly after arriving at the Posthouse, Yaxi and Fangzi woke up one after the other.

Recognizing the place, Fangzi began crying and laughing, ”Yaxi, Yaxi, we’ve been saved, Sister Ruozhu saved us!”

Yaxi had a dazed expression, suddenly covered one of her eyes with her hand, repeatedly blocking it with her hand, showing no excitement at all.

”Yaxi, what’s wrong?” Fangzi’s heart skipped a beat, she vaguely understood why.

Bai Ruozhu sighed silently beside her, it wasn’t easy to save a life, the body needed proper care.

After a long while, Yaxi began to cry, saying between her sobs, ”I can’t see with this eye!”

Fangzi quickly looked to Bai Ruozhu, who gave a slight shake of her head, then said, ”Yaxi, the Poisonous Insects in you have been cleared, but your body is too weak, you need good rest, continue taking medicine for a while, and purge the residual poison in your body.”

It wasn’t time yet to tell Yaxi that her eye couldn’t be healed, it would be too harsh, better to say it later.

Suddenly, Yaxi struggled up, grasping Bai Ruozhu’s hand, asking, ”Sister Ruozhu, can this eye of mine still recover?”

Bai Ruozhu wanted to escape, but it was too late.

Yaxi stared straight at her, one eye full of hopeful light, but the other was vacant and unfocused.

”Is it hopeless?” She didn’t ask further, suddenly lowering her head.

Tang Feng abruptly moved forward, lifting her up.

”It’s just an eye, what’s the big deal? I have a friend who had both his arms chopped off at one point, he couldn’t even walk steadily at first, but he didn’t give up, and now with mechanical arms, he can still live a normal life. You’re not entirely blind, why be like this? Life is hard enough, surviving is already good enough!” Tang Feng barked.

Bai Ruozhu was stunned; she knew Tang Feng was referring to Xu Huilin, but couldn’t understand why Tang Feng was so worked up. He usually didn’t meddle in such matters.

She noticed the pain in Tang Feng’s eyes, suddenly understanding, Tang Feng had also been wronged, and the one who hurt him was once his lover, making him lose not only physical, but also manly dignity.
