Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The squad leader came over to ask if Ye Jian was in the dormitory. Knowing that she was here, there was nothing else she needed to do. ”No need. It’s good that I know that she’s back. Rest early and gather on time in the morning.”

”Yes, Squad Leader!”

”Yes, Squad Leader!”

”Good night.”

”Good night, Squad Leader.”

There were rustling sounds in the darkness for a while before everything returned to normal. The female soldiers, who had been tired for almost a day and a night, had washed up and climbed into bed to sleep. After a while, Ye Jian heard several sets of even breathing. She opened her eyes and stared into the darkness. Her gaze was a little dark.

When the female soldiers were still downstairs, the sound of their footsteps had already woken Ye Jian up. Then, the deputy squad leader pushed the door open and entered. Ye Jian had already opened her eyes and was about to greet the female soldiers. But when she heard Lu Hui’s words, she sighed in her heart and shut up.

If she really got up and greeted the female soldiers, she would only feel awkward. Forget it, she would just pretend to be asleep.

The female soldiers felt tired when interacting with her. Actually, she was quite tired too. It wasn’t difficult for her to disguise herself. However, when she thought about what she needed to do after this, she felt very awkward.

That day, when Commander Kong talked to her alone, she immediately felt that she had found herself in murky waters and it was too late to turn back around.

As expected, she was stuck in these murky waters and didn’t know how to interact with the female soldiers.

She was afraid that they would notice something if she got too close to them. After all, they were a group of female soldiers whose comprehensive ability was not inferior to male soldiers. With their intelligence, they would definitely suspect something.

If she kept a distance from them, there would be a bunch of problems as well. Occasionally, when she thought about it, it gave her a headache. She might as well ignore everything and put on an act until the end. She knew that the female soldiers had a problem with her and were against her, but she pretended not to know.

Usually, when they complained about her because of problems with her training or because she didn’t keep up with the progress, she endured it.

She told herself to just bear with it.

However, there seemed to be a problem. From the conversation just now, it was not difficult to tell that they were suspicious of her. This was a little troublesome. If they really kept an eye on her, she was afraid she might not be able to keep this up until the half-year point.

If her overall ability had surpassed theirs, then it would have been fine. But now, although she had successfully completed the night landing, she was still inferior to them in many aspects and needed to continue to strengthen her training in secret.

As for the female soldier’s rejection of her, that was a small matter. As long as it wasn’t overboard or personal, she could bear with it.

It couldn’t be helped. She was indeed dragging the class down, and she did it on purpose.

She felt guilty, but she felt better after being mocked by them from time to time.

She had to discuss it with Captain Lei tomorrow. There were still four months left before it was half a year. She had to endure it.

At 5:30 am, all the soldiers prepared to gather and start their training for the day. Ye Jian could clearly feel the female soldiers’ attention on her. Every time she completed her individual training, the squad leader would deliberately stand at the side and keep an eye on her. It was the same for the rest of the day. They would suddenly appear before her and catch her off guard.

Hence, Ye Jian was even more certain that they were suspicious of her.

”What made them suspicious?” Ye Jian asked herself in a low voice during the break. She tried to recall if she had revealed any flaws. She thought for a long time… but to no avail.

After lunch, Ye Jian put down her cutlery and went to the training ground to strengthen her training as usual. The deputy squad leader suddenly came over and held Ye Jian’s arm. She smiled and asked, ”Where do you usually go in the afternoon? I rarely see you going back to the dormitory to rest in the afternoon.”

Ye Jian’s heart dropped. She knew that she was being targeted.
