Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Lu Hui, who came from the Aerial 17th Division, was the female soldier who had the greatest opinion of Ye Jian in the entire female soldier class. There was no other reason. She always thought that the reason why her comrade from the Aerial 17th Division was eliminated was because Ye Jian, who was from the army, snatched her comrade’s slot.

She had always thought so. Even though the squad leader had explained it later, it didn’t dispel her opinion.

It couldn’t be helped. Ye Jian was from the army. It was very difficult for an army soldier to join the special reconnaissance team of the air force. Lu Hui wasn’t the only one who thought that there was a problem. All the female soldiers, including the squad leader, thought so too.

If not, why would the squad leader say that she allowed the female soldiers to have opinions about Ye Jian?

They could have their opinions, but they could not talk about personal matters. They could also not say whatever they wanted without any evidence.

Rumors often started off as casual remarks. In the end, it could reach a point where there was no way to end it. This would implicate themselves and them.

Especially in the military unit. Once things got out of hand, a large number of people would be punished.

Lu Hui, the female soldier who said that she suspected that Ye Jian and Captain Lei had a special relationship, didn’t look too good when she walked out.

”Lu Hui, tell me now. Does everyone in your team think so? Or did all of you discuss this behind my and the deputy squad leader’s backs?”

Lu Hui didn’t say anything. The squad leader was already angry. ”I’ll count to three. If you don’t say anything, the entire class will run ten kilometers with weights!”

Lu Hui didn’t answer, and her comrades didn’t speak either. Guo Cui, who had received Ye Jian’s help before, wanted to step forward, but she was stopped by her comrades on her left and right.

”If someone has to be punished, we’ll take the punishment together. Don’t cause trouble.”

”Everyone has already spoken up. Don’t do anything rash.”

Guo Cui moved her lips but chose to remain silent.

They were right. Her comrades in the team had already said that they would be punished together if someone were to get punished. She remembered that Ye Jian had helped her before, but… she didn’t believe that Ye Jian joined with her capabilities.

None of the female soldiers stood up. The squad leader’s expressions were extremely dark. ”Very well! All of you are very loyal, right? My punishment to you is 20 kilometers of weighted cross-country run! Now, return to the dormitory immediately! Gather downstairs in five minutes!”

There was a difference between a weighted 20-kilometer cross-country run and a non-weighted 20-kilometer run.

Weighted runs required individual combat weapons to be carried. The airborne soldiers’ equipment included heavy parachutes. The parachutes that the female soldiers were training now weighed five kilograms. In addition, the individual combat equipment of the paratroopers, such as automatic rifles and magazines, water bottles, satchels, and ammunition bags… In total, they weighed 15 kilograms.

If it weren’t for the word ’weighted’, the heavy parachute bag would have been spared.

A 20 kilometers cross-country run with 15 kilograms of weight. The 13 female soldiers, including the deputy squad leader, had pale faces.

The squad leader was punished too. This was her negligence. It was because of her laissez-faire that the female soldiers dared to talk about personal matters in private. They were so bold that they even implicated Captain Lei.

If she didn’t punish them, it would definitely lead to a huge mistake!

If they thought that Ye Jian wasn’t capable, sure!

They thought that Ye Jian would implicate the class, fine!

They didn’t agree to having Ye Jian stick around, alright!

These opinions were only directed at Ye Jian. They could not spread and affect other people.
