Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Although this was the truth, Small Head was still dealt a blow.

He looked at Captain Lei pitifully and begged him to let him off. ”Captain, I’m just worried about Ye Jian’s safety. Aren’t you a little too ruthless? Why are you bringing up the past? Didn’t you always tell us to move on? The past is the past.”

In the past, Small Head had a bad impression of Ye Jian. Now, he was like her sidekick!

If they didn’t poach Ye Jian and bring her back to the military unit…

Captain Lei snorted and sneered. ”You’re worried that Ye Jian will encounter danger if she parachutes at night. That’s fine. You’re concerned about your comrade. However, you can’t doubt if she has the right to join in night training. As her instructor, you should know better than anyone whether she can succeed or not.

”Look at Guan Cheng and Ding Xiaoping. Before we gathered, they wanted to ask me if I could let Ye Jian complete a night landing with the male soldiers in advance. The two of them thought that Ye Jian was qualified to parachute down at night with her current standards. Why are you still full of doubt?

”Do you suspect that Ye Jian’s ability is not good enough, or do you suspect that your teaching skills are not good enough and that you didn’t teach Ye Jian well?”

These words were really irrefutable. The defeated squad leader surrendered and straightened his chest. He replied confidently, ”Reporting to the captain, I don’t have any doubts. I believe that Ye Jian will definitely be able to complete the night parachute landing!”

They were a certain distance away from the transport plane. The rumbling sound didn’t affect their communication. Captain Lei saw that Small Head had a good understanding, so he raised his hand to let him off.

All the airborne soldiers boarded the plane. Captain Lei, who was the last to board, strode onto the transport plane and sat down in the empty seat beside Ye Jian.

The seats were all reserved in advance. Before Ye Jian boarded the plane, she knew that Captain Lei would sit with her.

The plane door was closed, and the cabin was completely sealed. With the guidance of the command tower and the flag of the soldiers on the ground waving, the large transport plane carrying 140 people raised its nose and rushed into the smoky green night.

This night landing was arranged at the back of the city. The transport plane would fly over the brightly lit city before entering the night landing area. The young air force soldiers sitting in the transport plane didn’t have many expressions on their faces. After passing three checkpoints, they were all very calm. They hugged their parachutes as they sat. They would wait for the signal lights to light up before jumping out of the plane and looking at the hazy sky that they were protecting with their lives.

Captain Lei sat down and looked at the young soldiers around him. Then, he smiled and asked Ye Jian, ”How are you feeling? Are you excited?”

He didn’t ask Ye Jian if she was afraid because he couldn’t see any fear on her face.

Ye Jian smiled until the corners of her mouth were raised. ”I was quite excited when I was checking my parachute just now. After coming to the resting area, my mood became calm.”

Ye Jian seemed to have thought of something and smiled deeply again. ”The instructors knew that this was my first night landing and specially checked my parachute again. They also told me that night landing is more exciting than day landing. The scenery will be more magnificent. When descending, I’ll look down at the ground more. No matter how afraid I am, I’ll gradually calm down because of this land.

”I’m looking forward to what kind of night scenery I’ll see when I descend. It’ll definitely be more beautiful than the night scenery I see when I fly at night.”

This was Ye Jian’s first night landing. She wasn’t afraid. She was looking forward to it.
