Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

With Lu Hui’s words, the other female soldiers didn’t say anything. Saying more would just be adding fuel to the fire.

After all, they had been training together for almost two months and were in the same dormitory. They had a certain understanding of each other’s temper. With Lu Hui’s typical explosive temper, she would definitely fly into a rage if someone were to talk back.

Everyone was tired, and it was the middle of the night. There was no need to make a fuss.

When they were outside, a female soldier persuaded her softly, ”Stop talking so much. We know that you’re doing this for Ye Jian’s sake, but we don’t know if she’s listening to you. Let the squad leader and the deputy squad leader handle it. Don’t force yourself to take on the role of an evil person. It’s not worth it.”

When they reached the bathroom, Lu Hui placed her toiletries down forcefully. From the mirror embedded in the wall, one could see the anger on Lu Hui’s face. ”I can’t stand it. Hardworking people want to join the team, but they can’t. But those who don’t work hard can easily occupy a spot. I’m angry.”

One could tell that Lu Hui had a knot in her heart. The female soldier could only continue persuading her, ”Why didn’t you listen to what the squad leader said? It’s not something Ye Jian can decide on her own. She must have something extraordinary about her. At least, she’s not noisy. She’s quiet. Other than dragging us down during training, she’s fine.

”Look on the bright side. At least we’re not stuck with someone with a bad temper and who likes to shoot their mouths off and blame others. Don’t you think such a person is more infuriating?”

Lu Hui’s expression finally improved. She snorted. ”That’s all that’s good about Ye Jian.”

”That’s right. At least she knows her limits and doesn’t take the initiative to cause trouble. She’s obedient no matter what we say. It’s just that her ability to learn things is average. She’s born with it. She can’t change it. You should be more tolerant and talk less.”

The clear water flowed down from the tap. Lu Hui listened to the words being spoken, but she was still filled with dissatisfaction. She glanced at the rest from the corner of her eyes. ”Why do I feel that I’m the only bad person? Are you all good people?”

”It’s good enough that there’s one of you. It’s not that we don’t want to talk about it. It’s just that we don’t talk as much as you. Alright, hurry up and wash your face and brush your teeth. Rest early.

”Oh, right, don’t be so angry when we go to bed later. Don’t wake others up.”

”I know, I know. I’m the only one who keeps finding trouble with her, and you’re all good people. I’m so angry.” After brushing her teeth and washing her face, the cold water finally suppressed the anger in Lu Hui’s heart.

Guo Cui and Lu Hui shared a bunk bed. Their beds were next to Ye Jian and Fang Xin’s bunk bed. They were both against the left wall. There were two beds on the right wall too. There were four bunk beds, and one dormitory was just big enough for eight people.

After washing up, Lu Hui came in and heard the deputy squad leader reminding the female soldiers to keep their footsteps light and not make too much noise. In the dark, Lu Hui pursed her lips and tidied herself up before climbing into bed.

As for when Ye Jian came back and where she went previously, the female soldiers didn’t have the energy to question her now. They should wash up and sleep. They still had training tomorrow morning.

The female soldiers were all moving around in the dark. The squad leader pushed the door open. Seeing that the dormitory was dark, she subconsciously asked, ”Are the lights broken?”

”No, Ye Jian is sleeping,” a female soldier replied. ”I don’t know when she came back. Should I wake her up and ask?”
