Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Captain Lei, who hadn’t had dinner, asked Small Head and the other two male soldiers to talk as they walked. When Ye Jian saw this, she was worried that her time was a little tight and she wouldn’t be able to catch up with the female soldier class. Hence, she suggested leaving first.

Captain Lei waved his hand and smiled. ”There’s no hurry. Let’s eat first. We’ll arrange tonight’s training after dinner.”

Ye Jian glanced at Captain Lei and raised her eyebrows with a smile. ”If I don’t go over, I’ll be criticized again. Captain Lei, I’ve never been criticized so much before entering the air force.”

This sentence made Captain Lei, Small Head, and the other male soldiers laugh. They more or less knew that the female soldiers were ostracizing her. Among them, Captain Lei was the most aware of it.

Because of Commander Kong’s instructions, she had indeed suffered grievances here.

”Then scold them back. When you leave the military unit in the future, you won’t be able to scold them even if you want to. They have a weighted cross-country run tonight. They made a last-minute decision and will probably only come back in the middle of the night. You don’t have to do it.” Captain Lei smiled as he asked Ye Jian, who was frowning slightly, ”Do you feel wronged? Do you have the urge to scold them back?”

Did he think that she was an impulsive recruit?

They decided to cross-country for 20 kilometers at the last minute. This time, she didn’t go… When they came back, she would have to listen to their insults again.

Ye Jian laughed. ”I truly don’t have the urge to scold them back. I’ve already been criticized so much. If I still talk back, they’ll really find something to use against me.

No matter how much the female soldiers disliked Ye Jian, Ye Jian never retaliated. She accepted their criticism and punishment humbly. This gave the female soldiers the impression that she was ’honest’.

She was an honest person with a beautiful face.

Small head and the others who were in charge of Ye Jian’s training also knew that she was hiding her competence in front of the female soldiers. Upon hearing this, Small Head was the first to comfort Ye Jian, ”Only those who have endured hardships can become the best. After half a year, it’ll be your turn to beat them up, to hold your head high and be full of energy. Who else but you can do that?

”Well said. You’ve said everything I wanted to say.” The male soldier in charge of Ye Jian’s landing training rolled his eyes at his comrades. Then, he smiled and comforted Ye Jian, ”They’re blind. In the future, when you take revenge, they won’t dare to say anything.”

Another male soldier with the surname Guan agreed with his comrades. ”That’s right, that’s right. We can’t look at the immediate future. We need to look at the long-term. Think about it. You need to stay in the military unit for two years. You’ll only be aggrieved for half a year. They’ll be aggrieved for a year and a half!”

Ye Jian couldn’t stop smiling. ”Thank you for your consolation, instructors. For now, although they have some opinions about me, they don’t have any bad intentions. They’re purely standing in the position of an airborne soldier. They think that I’m unsuitable to stay and should return to the army military unit.

”When I’m training, they’ll correct me in time and not pretend that they didn’t notice anything. Actually, I’m quite grateful for their corrections. Hence, although I feel a little aggrieved, it’s still tolerable.”

Half a year. Ye Jian also hoped that half a year would pass quickly. Most importantly, she had to surpass the female soldiers within half a year. If not, Commander Kong’s intention of transferring her over would be in vain.

Captain Lei let his comrades comfort Ye Jian. He paid attention to the changes in Ye Jian’s facial expression. He heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that she didn’t take the female soldiers’ ostracization to heart.
