Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

After gathering, he led the team back to the dormitory. The male soldiers returned in teams while Ye Jian returned to the dormitory alone.

Before the female soldiers came, there wasn’t a female soldier’s dormitory in the military unit. There wasn’t even a… female bathroom. The female soldier’s dormitory was renovated from the family building. Fortunately, there was a bathroom on every floor of the family building, solving that problem.

”Ye Jian, see you in the day.”

”See you in the day.”

”See you in the day.”

The family building was in the opposite direction of the male soldiers’ dormitory. A few special reconnaissance soldiers who knew Ye Jian waved at her and said goodbye.

Facing a group of male soldiers, Ye Jian, who had always been magnanimous, waved goodbye. It was three in the morning. There were only two and a half hours until the morning assembly. If she made use of the time, she could have a good rest.

During the War of Resistance, the soldiers were famous for fighting at night. In the new era, the night training in the military unit still took up a large portion of the training. The night training wouldn’t affect the day training. No matter how late the night training was, they would still gather at dawn and start the day training.

Two and a half hours later, Ye Jian would meet them again.

Ye Jian returned to the dormitory alone. There was no one in the dormitory. The female soldiers who were carrying out the weighted cross-country run hadn’t returned. She looked at the time. It was a few minutes past three in the morning. They should be arriving soon.

After lying down for about ten minutes, the 14 female soldiers dragged their tired bodies back to the dormitory. The deputy squad leader turned on the lights before quickly turning them off again. She saw Ye Jian lying on the bed.

”Lower your voices. Ye Jian is sleeping.” The deputy squad leader reminded the female soldiers.

Lu Hui, who came in later, whispered, ”We’re exhausted, but she could get into bed early. She could bring herself to sleep when there was no one in the dormitory. I really don’t know if she’s magnanimous or stupid.”

How could someone like her be accepted? Was that possible?

She didn’t want to improve. Everyone was training, but she went back to the dormitory alone and slept with her head covered. Wasn’t she letting down the military unit that groomed her and the civilians who trusted the soldiers outside?

Lu Hui’s expression darkened.

If the deputy squad leader hadn’t reminded everyone to be quiet, she would have rushed to the head of the bed to wake Ye Jian up and ask her what she was doing.

”We came back so late. Did you expect her to be waiting for us instead of sleeping?” Guo Cui retorted. Then, right on the heels of that, she lowered her voice even more. ”Have you forgotten what we said on the way? Speak less and observe more!”

Lu Hui glanced at a certain spot in the darkness. She opened her mouth but closed it again. She almost forgot about it.

After a while, she tamped down the anger in her chest and said in a muffled voice, ”I don’t know if you’re thinking too much, but when I see her, I feel that it’s just the way she is. There’s nothing strange about it.”

”Lu Hui, are you planning to stay up all night?” The deputy squad leader opened her mouth and lowered her voice as if she was afraid that Ye Jian would hear her. ”You’re the most talkative person in the class. Hurry up and rest early!”

Lu Hui, who was called out by the deputy squad leader, picked up her toiletries and left the room. Fine, she wouldn’t say anymore. The more she said, the more mistakes she would make!

The 15 female soldiers were divided into two teams. Every team was resting in a dormitory. Ye Jian’s bed was in the innermost part. She slept on the upper berth. On the lower berth was a female soldier called Fang Xin. She wasn’t tall and came from Sichuan Province.

Fang Xin looked at Ye Jian, who was sleeping on the upper berth of her bed. She subconsciously softened her actions so that she wouldn’t make much noise.

Although they doubted Ye Jian’s ability and targeted her, it was only during training. When they returned to the dormitory, they wouldn’t deliberately make things difficult for Ye Jian or bully her. They just didn’t know how to talk to her.
