Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian’s night landing was a last-minute arrangement. Even the three male soldiers, who were in charge of training her, didn’t know about it. When Captain Lei told Ye Jian in the cafeteria to prepare for tonight’s night landing, Small Head thought that Ye Jian only needed to prepare.

Before leaving the cafeteria, Small Head even teased Ye Jian with a smile, ”You can prepare well. A week later, you’ll complete the night landing and let the female soldiers see how you surpass them perfectly as an army soldier.”

His teasing almost made Ye Jian think that she had misunderstood what Captain Lei meant. Captain Lei slapped the back of Squad Leader Xiao’s head. ”Nonsense! Hurry up and bring Ye Jian to prepare!”

”Yes!” Small Head rubbed the back of his head. ”Captain, can you pat me gently? It hurts.”

”Oh, so you do feel pain. I thought your brain was made of wood. Hurry up and get lost. We’ll gather at 7:30 pm. You still have ten minutes.”

Ye Jian confirmed that she wasn’t ’preparing’. She would really descend at night!

It was not until Ye Jian carried her parachute and her name appeared on the list of people who would complete the night landing that Small Head realized that Ye Jian would really do the night landing with them.

This was a little scary!

When he saw Ye Jian boarding the transport plane quickly, her back view was so calm that she looked like a veteran who had experienced thousands of night landings. He said to Captain Lei worriedly, ”Captain, aren’t you a little too bold?”

”No matter how powerful Ye Jian is, she hasn’t even trained for two months. If we arrange for her to land at night, what if something happens? How are we going to answer to the army? Let’s not talk about the army first. It’ll be hard to even answer to our commander. He’ll skin us alive.”

Captain Lei was the last to board the plane. He saw Ye Jian’s every move. Hearing that, he smiled and asked Small Head, ”When do you think is the most suitable time for the night landing, then?”

Small Head said seriously, ”We have to look at the training situation for the next week. She should at least train for two months. It’s safer.”

”Your main point is that it isn’t time yet, so we can’t arrange for Ye Jian to do night landing training?” Captain Lei asked again, ”Besides the time, is there any other factor?”

The main point was that the time wasn’t right. Small Head shook his head. ”Everything else is fine. I just feel that time is a little too rushed. You suddenly decided to arrange for her to do a night landing. I wonder if she’s mentally prepared.”

”Did you see Ye Jian panic just now?”

”No, her back view is like a veteran who has jumped hundreds of times in the night. She’s calm and composed.” Small Head chuckled. ”Her mentality is definitely strong. My hands and feet were trembling when I fell for the first time.”

So…

Captain Lei patted Small Head’s shoulder and said earnestly, ”That’s why she’s better than you. In less than two months, her comprehensive ability has improved faster than your half a year of training. Accept your fate, kid. In two years, she’ll surpass you.”

Small Head was stunned. He only reacted after a few soldiers boarded the transport plane. ”Captain, you can’t make fun of me like this. It was good enough that I could complete the night parachute landing after six months.”

Captain Lei looked at Small Head as if he were talking to the mentally handicapped. ”So what? Ye Jian can complete it in less than two months. She took less than three months to complete the three major comprehensive training sets and caught up with your half a year of training. Your skills are nothing in front of her.”

It wasn’t a blow to Small Head. It was the truth.
