Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The deputy commander said, ”There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. Everyone in the camp knows about it.”

As usual, one had to maintain an honest heart and never hide anything. If one had something to say, one should say it.

The company commander glared at him. ”Can you not say it out loud? Save some of my reputation.”

”Company Commander, even our officer said that reputation isn’t given by others. It’s earned. If you want an honorable reputation, you have to earn it.” The deputy commander sighed heavily and expressed his opinion. He kindly reminded the company commander of the entire regiment, ”Be prepared to fight with the female soldier. If you’re careless, you’ll suffer a serious setback as the result of a careless mistake. Don’t lose to the female soldier.

”If you really lose, it’ll probably become a hot topic in our camp for the next five years. It won’t be just a little embarrassing by then. You’ll lose all your dignity.

”I have to remind you that Political Commissar Tang is right about one thing. Since Captain Xia isn’t worried, it means that he’s very confident in the female instructor. That’s why he dares to challenge the male soldiers on behalf of the female instructor.”

The confident Company Commander Zhu was continuously attacked by Political Commissar Tang and the deputy commander. His self-confidence, which was as strong as a city wall, wavered a little.

However, the famous company commander of the regiment would never lower his head and admit defeat easily. He had never been afraid!

After thinking for a moment, he said, ”Let me warm up first.”

If he really lost, he would lose all his dignity!

He wouldn’t fight a battle he wasn’t confident in. He needed to be stable before seeking victory.

The deputy commander watched as the company commander warmed up. Then, he looked at the other three companies. Political Commissar Tang gathered the first company and the second company together and said something.

On the other hand, Xia Jinyuan smiled at Ye Jian and said, ”No matter how happy you are watching from the sidelines, it’s better to go on stage personally. Ever since you recuperated, you haven’t competed seriously, right? The opportunity is here. Hurry up.”

That was true.

After coming out of the hospital, Ye Jian went back to school to revise and take the makeup exams. Besides the morning run with the new students, she hadn’t done anything else. Even the training was put aside.

At first, she didn’t have any thoughts about it. Now that Xia Jinyuan mentioned it, Ye Jian felt her hands itching. ”Okay, I’ll warm up first and see if I’m rusty.”

Fighting wasn’t Ye Jian’s strongest forte, but her skills weren’t bad either.

That year, when she went to the Xueyu unit for training, Xia Jinyuan arranged for her to fight with the special forces soldiers before she could even put down her company luggage. After a few rounds, she lost gloriously.

It had been a long time since she last did such a thing. She had been resting for a few months, so she had to prepare.

Hence, Ye Jian continued, ”I’ll warm up first. If I really lose, the military will be very disappointed in me.

”That’s why I specially gave them ten minutes of rest. Move around and stretch your muscles. I’ll help you.” Xia Jinyuan volunteered, so Ye Jian didn’t reject him.

Stretching was easy. Just bend your legs to the left and right, stretch your shoulders and back, put your feet together, raise your arms high and straighten your body, then sit down with your legs in an ’eight’ shape, and press your body down between your legs…

Five minutes later, all the muscles and bones in her body relaxed, and she entered the zone.

She hadn’t reached her optimal state yet. She needed to enter her optimal state and compete. She needed to stir up the atmosphere and circulate the hot blood in her entire body. Only when adrenaline was secreted and her heart was pumping could she enter her optimal state.

The deputy commanders of the first and second companies had already reminded the soldiers in their company that any of them could step out to fight, but they couldn’t embarrass the female instructor.

Of course, if the female instructor was really strong, the soldiers didn’t have to give in just because the instructor was a woman. They would still fight when they needed to.
