Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Political Commissar Tang’s meticulousness undoubtedly helped Ye Jian adapt to the unfamiliar environment. The two of them asked questions and gave answers. They were from the same alma mater, so although there was an age difference, they were able to chat.

It was only a short distance to the dormitory. Political Commissar Tang was very satisfied, and Ye Jian was the same.

Xia Jinyuan and Company Commander Zhu were chatting too. If not for the fact that Xia Jinyuan would have to wake up and meet the male soldiers in a few hours, Company Commander Zhu would have wanted to continue talking to him.

”Brother, we’ve found the right person this time. Did you know that two years ago, an instructor came to the company to guide us? He had the aura of an official. It’s just that he lacked some real talent.

”Our job is to protect the entire base. Yet, he taught and brainwashed my soldiers every day. He even arranged for them to learn a soldier’s song every week!

”I’m not against them learning soldier songs, but he arranged lessons every day and wrote all the teaching materials in writing. I was so angry that I laughed. The battalion commanders had a headache too. In the end, they thought of a way and finally asked this big shot to leave.”

It was only a short distance, but Company Commander Zhu and Xia Jinyuan were already calling each other ’Brother’.

As a lieutenant colonel, Xia Jinyuan’s military rank was two levels higher than Company Commander Zhu. At first, Company Commander Zhu thought that Xia Jinyuan wouldn’t be easy to get along with and would put on airs. In the end, when they talked, he didn’t put on any airs at all. Even his training insights were very compatible with the company commander’s.

As a result, the company commander’s initial worry disappeared, and they quickly chatted happily.

In the eyes of Company Commander Zhu, the new lieutenant colonel looked refined and handsome, but he didn’t have the aura of a pretty boy. He gave off the appearance that he could unleash his domineering aura and restrain it at will. One look and you could tell that he had the confidence to do so.

It was to the company commander’s liking.

Xia Jinyuan didn’t stand on ceremony. Although his military rank was higher than Company Commander Zhu, he hadn’t served the military for as long. Hence, to show his respect, Xia Jinyuan still called him ’Company Commander’.

”He was probably transferred from the general affairs department and needed to train under the company to add to his resume. He was an officer who came here to make plans for the future.

”He didn’t do any training and only talked to the soldier. If it were me, I would’ve tolerated him for, at most, three months. Three months later, I would’ve asked him to leave immediately.”

”Hahaha, that’s right! Three months later, we politely invited him to leave. Before he left, we held a farewell party and thanked him for his three months of hard work.”

The company commander’s loud laughter came from behind. Under the cold moonlight, it added color to the quiet night.

Ye Jian couldn’t help but smile.

Her Captain Xia was like a fish in water wherever he went. He could quickly integrate into the new environment as quickly as possible.

This was an advantage that was worth learning.

Fifteen minutes later, the political commissar and company commander left together. They were all staying in the same building, but there was a distance between upstairs and downstairs.

Ye Jian and the female soldiers stayed here too. Not far away was the male soldiers’ dormitory.

There was a regiment of soldiers around the base. There were more than 1,800 soldiers guarding the entire base.

Ye Jian’s camp only had a battalion. There were a total of 560 officers. As there had never been a female soldier in the camp, the dormitory arrangement gave the leaders of the camp a headache for a long time. In the end, they simply arranged a dormitory building for the officers, which solved the problem temporarily.

It was just a temporary solution.

Just like what Political Commissar Tang said to Ye Jian, if all 20 female soldiers stayed behind, the regiment would definitely arrange another dormitory.

Although the military didn’t differentiate male and female soldiers, their gender was still different. They had to pay attention to what they needed to.
