Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Ye Jian had planned on driving to the mountaintop filled with tropical trees in front of her. Obviously, the car that was about to run out of fuel couldn’t make it. They would have to abandon it.

Ye Jian grabbed the 95 rifle and the camouflage bag with two magazines. As the car slowed down, Ye Jian shouted, ”Jump down!” The three of them pushed open the car doors at the same time.

After abandoning the car with the leaking fuel tank, the three of them used the S-curve route to run forward at their fastest speed. Naturally, they couldn’t simply run along the road. They would become live targets.

They chose to rush out of the road. They saw a few trees and thought that they would be able to hide temporarily. In the end…

After running to a few sparse trees, the three of them suddenly stopped in their tracks. They were now on a slope. Below them was a village, a village with smoke billowing from the wind.

The possibility of escaping would increase if they ran into the village. However, the people chasing them were armed with guns. If the other party didn’t find the three of them, they might shoot civilians. Killing innocent people was common in Libya.

There was another possibility to consider. Who knew if the village was a bandit’s den? Although there had been some small twists and turns along the way, nothing had happened to them. However, they were being chased near the vicinity of this village. It didn’t hurt to be careful.

The three of them didn’t discuss, but they made a decision at the same time. Ye Jian shouted and ran forward. The two peacekeeping soldiers said at the same time, ”Run forward!”

They didn’t communicate or even look at each other. The three of them gritted their teeth and ran into the forest in front of them.

If nothing had gone wrong, they would be driving into the forest at this moment. After passing through this tropical forest, they would reach the town of Covil about ten kilometers away.

The three of them didn’t get close to each other and run together. Instead, they split up and ran forward about a meter apart. They couldn’t retaliate, and they didn’t even have a cover. The best way was to speed up and widen the shooting range of the bullets.

When Ye Jian and the rest abandoned the car, they were about 500 meters away from the unknown people chasing them. The fuel tank was hit, so they had no other choice but to abandon the car.

Although there were gunshots behind them, the range was too far. The other party wouldn’t be able to hurt them for a while.

Hence, they could still run. They had to grit their teeth and use all their stamina. They had been soldiers for a few years, after all. They had to run until their feet were like fire wheels.

Now, they couldn’t fight the other party head-on. They didn’t have enough soldiers or bullets. They could only think of a way to escape.

Ye Jian had participated in many actual combats. However, this was the first time she was being chased like this. She didn’t even have the ability to retaliate. This made her gaze so cold that it seemed to be frozen.

They were still a distance away from the forest. Fortunately… the sky had darkened, and the night had become a cover for the three of them. The fellows who were chasing them lost their target. However, they didn’t give up. Instead, they shouted loudly.

An extremely dilapidated truck rushed out from the side of the road. It was so dilapidated that only the headlights were intact. The truck carried the guys who were chasing Ye Jian and the other two. The sound of the truck’s engine was heard. The men’s fierce and arrogant roars came from afar. The dilapidated truck chased after the soldiers.

Ye Jian and the other two heard the sound of the truck. Their expressions were even more serious than before. The problem this time was extraordinarily troublesome!

”Split up and run!”

At this moment of life and death, Squad Leader Feng shouted at Ye Jian, ”Go straight to the town. There’s a Chinese peacekeeping unit camp there. You’ll be safe there. Leave them to me and He Wei!”
