Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The atmosphere in the car became a little heavy. Due to the bad road conditions, the peacekeeping soldiers didn’t say anything else and focused on driving.

The atmosphere in the car only improved a little when there were no more gunshots.

The situation in Libya was very complicated. The political turmoil was an important reason. At the end of the 1980s, a civil war broke out in Libya. The flames of war continued until the 21st century. The country couldn’t become a country or a home. All the infrastructure was destroyed, and all the economies continued to grow negatively. There wasn’t even a decent road in Libya.

The peacekeeping soldiers sent by the country stepped into this piece of land. Their lives were closely related to this piece of land. In the face of illegal militants snatching supplies, the peacekeeping soldiers had to stand up and communicate with them. Snatching supplies was a small matter, but threatening them with guns was not a small matter.

On the journey from the airport to the small town of Covil, Ye Jian encountered four chaoses in less than two hours. The people marched together in protest and caused a small-scale explosion. A Western media vehicle was hijacked by illegal militants. In the end, they used money to solve the disaster. The other thing was… it was their turn to be ’forced to stop’ by a few children with guns.

The guns were real, but there weren’t many bullets in them. Ye Jian used 10 USD to ’buy’ the guns in the hands of the two children. The children said in English, ”It can help you get more USD. It’s a lot more than what you gave me.”

All basic facilities were almost destroyed, including schools.

In a big city like the capital city of Libya, the situation was slightly better. Although schools were destroyed, at least the students could still attend classes. For instance, in a small town or a village in a remote area, the children there wouldn’t have any chance to go to school. Without a school or teachers, they didn’t have the right to go to school.

The oldest of the ten children who stopped Ye Jian’s car was 16 years old. He once studied in a classroom for a year. He knew how to write his name, his younger brother’s name, and the 26 English alphabets. With that, he became the most educated child among the ten children and the leader of the children.

He was a smart child, but he was hindered by his country.

If there was a country, there would be a home. If there was a home, there would be a country. If a country couldn’t become a country one day, a home wouldn’t be a home either.

Ye Jian used ten USD to pay for two SKS semiautomatic rifles. She unloaded the magazines and folded them into parts. As the car drove, she threw a few parts out. After driving for a while more, she threw a few more parts out the window. After two hours, she had thrown all the parts of the two guns out the window.

The SKS rifles with a capacity of ten rounds had already been eliminated. They were equivalent to antique guns. Ye Jian didn’t expect to see them here.

”Many of these guns have long gone out of service, and their origins are unknown. It’s the illegal militants who give them to the civilians and coax them to do something for them. Here, the civilians feel safe with guns in their hands.”

Speaking of the internal strife here, the peacekeeping soldiers were helpless. All they could do was the things within their responsibility. If they crossed the line, they would be targeted by the United Nations.

The heavy tone of the soldiers made Ye Jian purse her lips. She looked out of the car window with a cold facial expression.

Internal strife had always been the beginning of the division of a country. It was also the beginning of the suffering of a country and its people.

After a long time, Ye Jian said softly, ”One day, it will end. When the day comes, you guys can return to the country.”
