Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

For instance, the other party could receive new information through Red Plum’s former comrades.

It was possble.

The military was trying their best to find Red Plum’s comrades in the military unit when she was alive, especially the people who passed on false news to Commissioner Cai and the others who wanted to help Red Plum.

Back then, after this person passed the news of Ye Jian’s drowning to Commissioner Cai and the rest, he lost contact with all his comrades. His whereabouts were still unknown.

The military couldn’t find this person through his household registration. From this, they suspected that this person had already changed his name and identity.

They were either still in the country or… had gone overseas.

The country was huge, and the world was even bigger. Even an entity as powerful as the military would have a hard time finding someone who last appeared in public more than ten years ago.

The two strangers were no longer watched by the villagers. Instead, the scout stationed deep in the mountains of Shuikou Village kept an eye on them. He kept an eye on them for three days and only returned to the military unit after seeing them leave Fujun Town empty-handed.

At this moment, Ye Jian had ended her two-day simulation actual combat exercise with the Army Point Academy. She was the combat commander. After the outcome was decided, she would definitely have to start writing reports. She wouldn’t just write detailed analysis of the outcome of the battle. She would also point out the shortcomings, advantages, and improvements of the simulation system.

Busy and fulfilling was Ye Jian’s life in the military school.

The lights in the dormitory and the classroom were turned off on time. Ye Jian and a few staff officers went to the library to write their reports. They couldn’t drag it out. The longer they dragged it out, the more trouble they would have.

”The vanguard unit of the Army Point Academy met the reconnaissance team we sent out. If we wanted to get the upper hand in the encounter, we had to see who would react first and shoot first.

”Our reconnaissance team had always kept our weapons on standby. As for the ground-based advance military unit, they were in a forward state and hadn’t entered a standby state. Gaining the upper hand in an encounter depends on who opens fire first and suppresses the firepower in the most violent method in an instant. That party then stands a high chance of becoming the winner.

”And if we win, the frontline military unit will lose. However, we still made a huge mistake. The frontline military unit led the vanguard and didn’t lock onto the support unit’s position in time. Hence, we lost in the second half.”

In a corner of the library, Ye Jian printed out the map. The tip of the pencil slid slowly, pointing out the shortcomings of the two sides.

The three staff officers nodded from time to time and took relevant notes. Another document recorded their discussion into a computer.

The report couldn’t be written casually, especially the combat report. They had to analyze the entire battle situation again before they could release the report. By the time Ye Jian and the rest finished their analysis and looked up at the time, it was already 1:00 am.

At 1:00 am, the library was rather quiet. There were two lights on in the corner. Actually, the surroundings were pitch-black. It was so quiet that someone yawned.

Suddenly, they heard rapid footsteps that were louder than the noises during the day. Ye Jian and the rest looked up at the library door.

It was very dark there. It was so dark that only rows of shelves with books could be seen.

The door was pushed open. Ye Jian stood up and smiled at the student who was breathing heavily. ”It’s a student from my dormitory. Continue tidying up. I’ll go take a look.”

It was He Jing. She only returned to school this afternoon.
