Chapter 24: Chapter 17 Overachievement_2

Jack wasn’t discouraged; he continued to listen.

”However, your situation is very peculiar this time. As a level six completion, you can receive an additional top-level facility.”

”With the facility integrated into the bunker’s functional layer, you can choose to consume some resources to replace them with facility consumption items,” the guide said with a smile.

Jack understood the words:

”So the type of facility is chosen by me?”

The guide replied:

”Yes, but the facility has a maximum quantity limit. This time you choose this facility; next time, you might have to choose other facilities.”

”Of course, most of the level six facilities have been empty until now.”

Jack remembered that Sha Ruijing had said, the essence of exploring the Three Towers is to transport the towers...

Now he truly understood that sentence.

If the number of times exploring the Three Towers is sufficient, and the number of times achieving level six rewards is enough...

The bunker is like a DIY doomsday shelter that he can create.

”If I choose this facility... will it be labeled ’owned by Jack’?”

The guide shrugged, three heads shaking together:

”That’s right, everyone who enters this facility will know that it’s brought by you, or to say, brought by a Tower Climber with the codename Jack.”

”But I must remind you; ownership doesn’t mean exclusive use. As far as I know, humans in the bunker have their own authority institutions.”

These words didn’t need further clarification. Jack understood.

If he brought a facility, although the facility shows him as the owner, it could be requisitioned by the Bunker Security Bureau or the Bunker Civil Affairs Bureau.

If he’s lucky, these institutions might grant him some bunker currency and forcefully buy it.

If unlucky, they could take his reward for free and possibly make him disappear.

Hence, he must accumulate fame.

Although he couldn’t assume the Security Bureau and Civil Affairs Bureau were his enemies—

The atrocities of the Wen Family, the wickedness of Wen Chaohua, are things Jack needed to resolve.

”According to a friend’s description, level six facilities can bring transformative changes to human bunker civilization.”

”I want to know if a hospital is included?”

While the footbath shop was good, to survive, Jack had to compromise and choose the hospital.

The guide nodded:

”Naturally, level six facilities include hospitals; you can understand them as hospitals surpassing current human technology. The maximum number of level six hospitals is two.”

”Currently, in the level six buildings humans have in the bunker, there’s no hospital, so you can choose it.”

”Correspondingly, if you’re willing to consume fifty percent of your resources, the hospital will have a certain quantity of initial medicines and medical resources.”

Jack frowned:

”From your previous description, the bunker has multiple level six buildings.”

”And achieving level six completion means causing significant changes to all three towers and breaking their shackles, right?”

”Are there many people in the bunker who have reached this achievement?”

The guide shook his head:

”Of course, not many. However, there are some level six facilities. You got one thing wrong. Level six completion doesn’t necessarily require breaking the slaughter shackles or the eerie shackles.”

”Even without breaking the shackles, level six completion is possible, but breaking the shackles will definitely start at level six.”

Jack understood.

The guide meant that what he achieved was actually more challenging than the original requirements for level six completion.

Perhaps due to tier limitations or other reasons, there’s still some distance to level seven, but he already exceeded level six requirements.

Moreover, even exploring just one tower can achieve level six completion.

The guide seemed to know what Jack was thinking and added:

”Besides, some things can’t be done alone, but that doesn’t mean a group can’t do them. Human history has had its golden ages.”

”But these things are beyond our answering scope. You can learn more in the bunker.”

Jack asked again:

”Does a level seven facility exist?”

The guide said:

”Yes, as I’ve mentioned, humans can be terrifying if united, especially with a few formidable existences in the bunker.”

”The most famous known level seven facility in the bunker is the Three Towers Academy.”

”With the Three Towers Academy, the progress of exploring the Three Towers has greatly accelerated. Among them, there are also exceptionally talented newcomers.”

”Your initial exploration was successful, but they are equally formidable. Don’t get too conceited.”

Jack understood clearly.

It seemed humans’ research on the Three Towers was deeper than he imagined.

People’s stereotypes about a matter are often shallow, just as he thought the Desire Tower was the Tower of Sess, and the Slaughter Tower was the Battle Tower.

Only through true contact could he realize that using force was very elementary. But many still thrived on it.

Among the few, there would certainly be those deeply contemplating and understanding the Three Towers.

Perhaps no one else, like him, could simultaneously influence all three towers.

But the collective human exploration of the Three Towers also triggered some special rewards.

Besides the collective, there are many strong individuals.

Jack didn’t expect the Three Towers Academy to be a level seven facility.

The Three Towers Academy encompasses Slaughter Tower Academy and Desire Tower Academy. It seemed not just an ordinary school.

The academy might have certain special functions.

However, these details weren’t disclosed by the guide, so he could only learn more once back in the bunker.

Jack became increasingly curious about this world.

”I choose the hospital.”

”Are you sure?”

”Yes, I’m sure.”

”As you wish, but you still need to make some final arrangements.”

Jack quickly understood these words.

The mirror in front of him no longer reflected his image but the three-dimensional structure map of the bunker.

Currently, the bunker has sixteen levels.

Eight functional layers, eight residential layers. Functional layers are even-numbered, residential layers are odd-numbered.

The more authority, status, wealth these things one has, the higher their residential layer.

Human society in the bunker exhibited a very straightforward pyramid structure.

Many level five and level four facilities possessed certain entertainment, but these buildings were arranged on higher functional layers.

The functional layers the lower class encountered were level one to level three facilities, which usually had only basic functions.

This disparity resulted in significant differences in medical and living resources between lower and higher tiers.

However, the bunker allows level advancement, and it’s simple—explore the Three Towers.

Proving oneself in the Three Towers, which Jack found very fair.

Though he was a transmigrator, Jack didn’t position himself as a deity looking down.

Many times, he even understood the bunker’s rulers well.

But this time, he chose to place the level six facility—the hospital—on the second function layer, serving the lower people.

After completing all of this, the guide said:

”I am already looking forward to seeing how people react to you when you return to the bunker.”

”Your situation seems unfavorable, but it should change significantly next.”

”After all, every level six facility directly changes the lives of bunker people.”

The black head laughed in its usual sinister manner.

But Jack wasn’t afraid of this smile. He also looked forward to what would happen when he returned to the bunker.

The guide continued:

”Finally, an exclusive reward belonging to you, something no one can take, from Deceit Jack’s gift.”

”It’s a remarkable treasure.”
