Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 538: Chapter 512: She’s Unreasonable

”I think simply playing is not that interesting. How about we add some stakes?” Yu Minglang said seriously.

”All your assets besides real estate and pocket money are with me. Do you want to bet money with me?” Qian truly didn’t look down on this man who only wore big shorts at home. Ever since they got engaged, Yu Minglang had reverted from being a middle-class man to living as if it were pre-liberation.

”Let’s not be so vulgar. How about the loser promises to fulfill one request for the winner.”

Once a promise is made, aren’t we just waiting for something serendipitous to happen?

Qian understood right away that this guy was full of schemes. He’s finding ways to stymie her.

”I’m not very likely to win at Go against you. How about we play two games of chess and one game of Go, best of three?”

Yu Minglang felt a bit regretful, he didn’t manage to fool her. His future wife is too smart.

”Why are we playing chess too?”

”Chess is street-smart, Go is the world. I don’t have a high chance of winning against you in Go, so let’s keep it fair.”

Both of them were top students, just in different fields of expertise. Yu Minglang was indeed strong at Go, reportedly even winning a tournament prize back in his student days. His mind calculates these things quickly.

”Adding two games you’re good at and calling it best of three, you really have the nerve to call that fair.” Yu Minglang wasn’t dumb; his wife was straightforwardly bullying him, clearly aiming to win.

”Are you going to play or not?” She raised her chin arrogantly, just bullying you, what can you do!

”Play, play, play, my wife wants to play, so I’ll accompany—but, one thing, you can make me do anything now, just don’t make me sleep on the floor!”

It wasn’t easy to have a little holiday together, and canceling privileges would strip away the last bit of joy from life.

”Don’t worry, you won’t sleep on the floor, at most—” Qian smiled slightly.

Huh? Is wife that kind? Yu Minglang looked at Qian who smiled like a little fox, felt his wife didn’t seem like someone who would comply and be manipulated by a man, so how could she come up with a benefit like this?

”Wife, do you mean if I win... you’ll really listen to me?”

”Uh-huh, if you can win, you can make a request, but if you lose—”

”Mini skirt—and I can even do your makeup.”

Yu Minglang took a sharp breath.

”Qian, you have such a heavy taste?!”

”Are you daring or not? If not, just forget it, I’m the most democratic person, I won’t force you—but if you retreat without a fight, you won’t be that noble, brave image in my heart anymore, alas, when a man can’t maintain a tall image in his woman’s heart, it’s the greatest tragedy of life.”

Yu Minglang was itching at her sneaky little look.

”You little thing, you’re provoking me?”

”Does this provocation work well on you, Brother?” Qian blinked, pretending to be innocent and asked.

”As long as it’s you, anything works, come on.”

Yu Minglang really didn’t have confidence, driven by a kind of recklessness.

Qian’s confidence wasn’t unwarranted; they played these games together in their previous lives. She lost at Go but won more than she lost at chess. Yu Minglang this time was different from before; he didn’t understand her chess tactics, but she remembered his moves. If she didn’t exploit this rebirth advantage, what fun would there be?!

Now she looked at Yu Minglang, her eyes gleaming, as if this man in big shorts had already changed into a skirt in front of her, making coquettish moves.

”What are you thinking? Smiling so slyly?”

”Nothing much, come on, come on, all talk and no play is phony!” Qian made a ’please’ gesture, smiling like a cat stealing fish.

She was determined to win, he was all fired up, this was no longer about who would win. For the dignity of a man, he had to fight!

As Qian anticipated, playing Go, she wasn’t a match for Yu Minglang, losing was without suspense.

Next came the chess battle that would decide who wore the skirt. This wasn’t a fair fight; Qian relied on her memory from the past life and easily won a game.

However, he started to understand her chess path after, his strong will supporting him, making it not so easy for Qian to win again.

Both focused intensely, a small error could lead to wearing a skirt. Qian was careless and made a wrong move.

As the piece fell, she regretted it, tried to touch the piece, but Yu Minglang grabbed her hand and held it to his chin, poking the little trickster with his newly grown beard!

”Qian, a gentleman doesn’t undo moves!”

”Brother, wise people can settle family, sometimes ignorance is bliss!”

Yu Minglang was driven by her call, and Qian seized the opportunity to move the piece back.

It was Yu Minglang’s turn, he raised the piece, about to move, Qian tickled his leg, he got distracted and his hand slipped the piece off by one step, wanting to adjust it back with his hand, her little hand clamped down on his hand decisively.

”A gentleman doesn’t undo moves!”

”Sister, wise people can settle family, sometimes ignorance is bliss!” Yu Minglang tried to use her words to answer back.

Qian was all righteous, ”Wrong! That’s not how the saying goes, ’A gentleman doesn’t undo moves, undoing shows an unwise wife!’”

Playing against someone like this, there’s no way to win, Yu Minglang was angry and amused.

”You undo moves and ask me not to correct a mistake, you interfere with me, I made a wrong move, you still admit you’re not unwise?!”

This was too unreasonable! She wouldn’t let him fix it, Yu Minglang was really going to lose, and if it were because of this, wearing women’s clothes was too stifling. So Lang planned to pull a big move—flip the chessboard if he lost!

Qian smiled calmly, ”Whoever flips the chessboard sleeps on the floor!”

Bully in such an orderly rhyming way, Yu Minglang snorted.

”I see, you just want to see me in a skirt, right?”

”Yes.” She answered crisply and directly, come on, please get into the trap!
