Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Under the watchful eyes of everyone, Old You shot a steel cable from the combat suit on his left arm, piercing directly into the rock wall.

The human exoskeleton could enhance combat power. This set of armor was primarily designed for people like Zhang Yi and Lu Keran, who had weaker close-combat abilities.

Once equipped, speed and strength would receive significant boosts, and it came with various built-in weapons and equipment.

Even the delicate Yang Siya, wearing it, would possess theoretical stats not inferior to a Gamma-level superhuman.

Old You was its first test subject. With the power of the exoskeleton armor, he could possess even stronger combat capabilities.

At the same time, he was also responsible for helping Lu Keran collect data to better enhance the battle armor.

Old You raised his right hand. His palm was a circular cannon muzzle capable of firing high-energy lasers.

Simultaneously, a 20mm caliber mini-rocket launcher popped out from his shoulder.

Old You aimed the laser cannon in his hand at the Ground Centipedes continuously climbing over the rock wall and began precise hunting.

With the assisted aiming function of the Smart System, in this kind of large-scale combat, his fighting power could become even more formidable.

”Bang!” ”Bang!” ”Bang!”

In the blink of an eye, five or six Ground Centipedes were pierced through by the laser cannon, falling into the ten-thousand-zhang abyss.

The battle here alerted the Ground Centipede swarm. Immediately, dozens more Ground Centipedes swiftly crawled over.

Old You remained calm and unhurried. He had already tested this armor many times and was now using it with great proficiency.

”Click!”

The back of the battle armor opened, popping out six machine guns resembling crab arms. Paired with the shoulder cannon on his shoulder, he began a merciless sweep of the Ground Centipedes on the rock wall.

The autocannons roared. After being hit, the hard carapaces of those Ground Centipedes rapidly shattered. Green blood mixed with fragmented bodies splattered everywhere.

Old You laughed heartily, nimbly using the grappling hooks on the armor to traverse the rock wall, then slaughtering the Ground Centipedes on a large scale.

However, this fighting style inevitably attracted the attention of powerful beings within the Ground Centipede swarm.

Soon, from among the Ground Centipede group, a giant individual over ten meters long emerged. Its entire body’s white carapace emitted an unusual feeling. The pointed mouth on its head was different from other individuals; it was actually two huge pincers!

This was a squad leader level Ground Centipede, and it had set its sights on Old You.

Old You also felt this immense pressure. The laser cannon in his hand aimed at that Ground Centipede.

”Boom!!”

A laser pierced through space, shooting towards that Ground Centipede. Unexpectedly, it twisted its body and dodged it.

Dozens of pairs of limbs rapidly scaled the rock wall, charging towards Old You!

Old You felt this immense pressure. His current combat heavily relied on the armor. If weapons like the laser cannon and shoulder cannon failed, he simply couldn’t face a squad leader level opponent head-on.

At the critical moment, Liang Yue made her move.

She leaped down from Hua Hua’s back. Her Dragon’s Roar rang out with a ”clang!” as it left its sheath. Two grappling hooks shot from the waist of her combat suit, hooking onto the rock wall. Swinging through the air like a pendulum, she charged towards that giant Ground Centipede!

The Ground Centipede let out a sharp screech. Liang Yue’s gaze was sharp as a blade.

A blue airflow, like smoke, overflowed from her limbs and bones, enveloping her body like mist and flowing behind her.

As a martial arts grandmaster, Liang Yue cultivated both internal and external martial arts simultaneously. Internal martial arts, in the path of martial arts, was also called the [Qi Sect].

Those who cultivate internal martial arts would guide the [Qi] within their bodies through observing their internal landscape, cultivating their body and mind, strengthening their physique.

Thousands of years ago, there were even Qi Practitioners from the pre-Qin era. Even in modern martial arts circles, there was talk of Qi Gong.

But with the rise of firearms, martial arts declined. Coupled with the harsh conditions required for cultivation, Qi Gong gradually disappeared.

Liang Yue, as one of the few modern martial arts grandmasters, began practicing martial arts at the age of three. She was the last remaining inheritor of the [Qi Sect].

However, even after twenty-six years of arduous cultivation, she could only manage to gather Qi to extinguish a candle three meters away, far from reaching the legendary realm where internal energy could leave the body to injure others.

As for the realm of using Qi to control objects, flying swords to injure people, that existed only in distant legends.

Liang Yue’s father once told her that to achieve that step, one would need the cultivation of a martial arts master spanning two hundred years.

With the arrival of the Apocalypse, the human body mutated, and Liang Yue also obtained the legendary power of the [Qi Sect].

Using her will to drive the Qi within her body, her will and Qi leave her body, flying swords injure people.

Now, she was a true, genuine Grandmaster of martial arts!

Liang Yue parted her thin lips, drawing a breath into her body. On the long saber in her hand, that swirling blue smoke wasn’t vast, yet it was as elegant as the ribbons in the hands of a flying apsara.

This was Liang Yue’s latest comprehended martial arts ability: [Will Qi Entanglement].

The squad leader level Ground Centipede twisted its massive body, charging towards Liang Yue. It opened its bloody maw, about to bite Liang Yue in half in one bite.

Liang Yue’s eyes were fixed on it. Her cold pupils held not the slightest fluctuation of emotion.

In an instant, the two passed each other. In mid-air, wisps of blue smoke swirled.

A moment later, the Giant Centipede’s body slammed heavily against the rock wall.

Then, with a ”crack,” its head split in two from the middle. Green blood spurted out with a ”squelch,” slowly falling towards the ground.

Liang Yue, quick of eye and deft of hand, used a grappling hook to snag its remains.

Seeming to find carrying it inconvenient, she pulled out an iron chain, directly pierced through this Ground Centipede, and then thrust it into the rock wall.

A squad leader level Ground Centipede was actually strung up by her like a sausage.

Liang Yue and Old You were close-combat type superhumans. Having finally gotten the chance to participate in a battle of this level, they were both eager to display their strength.

However, there were also those who, looking at the massive Ground Centipede swarm, were so scared they swallowed several mouthfuls of saliva.

Fatty Xu, sitting on Hua Hua’s back, already felt his legs going a bit weak.

But Li Yangyang was right beside him. He had to tough it out and couldn’t let himself appear cowardly.

”Chunlei, you’re amazing! With your help, everyone’s fighting has become much easier!”

Li Yangyang smiled gently at Fatty Xu.

Fatty Xu chuckled ”hehe” and scratched his head: ”It’s alright! This isn’t too troublesome a problem for me.”

”Yangyang, you just stay here. I’ll protect you well!”

At that moment, a dissatisfied sound came from beneath him.

”Meow?”

In Hua Hua’s huge eyes, its eyeballs rolled upwards, as if questioning Fatty Xu: Do you want to say that again?

Hua Hua was right near Fatty Xu and the others.

It wasn’t in a hurry to act. Firstly, no target worthy of its action had appeared.

Secondly, when setting out, Zhang Yi had instructed it to prioritize protecting its companions, not charging forward to kill.

Otherwise, with its power, as long as the other side didn’t dispatch an Epsilon-level Ground Centipede, all other Ground Centipedes would become its afternoon tea.
