Ice Age Apocalypse: I Hoard Billions of Supplies

Qin Qigong’s proposal received everyone’s support. After all, no one wanted to be stabbed in the back during a fight.

Actually, it wasn’t just Zhang Yi who was worried; Li Changgong harbored similar concerns.

Therefore, everyone agreed without hesitation.

Zhang Yi glanced at Li Changgong and said calmly, ”I’ll add a personal condition. I still have the footage from that day’s battle. If I discover you pulling any shady tricks behind the scenes, I guarantee that footage will spread across the entire world!”

Li Changgong’s face darkened slightly. ”Hmph! If I really did such a thing, you can do whatever you want!”

With that, the four major regions finally reached a consensus.

They would jointly participate in the mission to the Qinling abyss. After the task was completed, the other three regions could each take away ten percent of the elemental ore resources.

Additionally, the Shengjing Region must unreservedly share all intelligence regarding everything beneath the Qinling Mountains with the other three major regions.

Naturally, the East Sea Region and the Southwest Region were not qualified to know.

Seeing that a consensus had been reached, Qin Qigong’s smile relaxed considerably.

”In this battle, we can only succeed, not fail. With the four major regions joining forces and four top-tier Epsilon-level superhumans dealing with two Epsilon-level Ground Centipedes, our chances of victory are quite substantial.”

”However, besides the two Epsilon-level Broodmother and King Worm underground, there is also an extremely terrifying number of Ground Centipedes.”

”Therefore, each major region needs to dispatch some powerful superhumans to enter the underground together, responsible for clearing out these smaller monsters.”

In principle, Delta-level Mutated Creatures could hardly pose a threat to combat-oriented Epsilon-level beings.

But, the number of Ground Centipedes within the abyss was truly immense, and among them were some whose strength was not inferior to the squad leader level.

Even ants can kill an elephant if there are enough of them. Even with four Epsilon-levels joining forces, if they fought underground while simultaneously dealing with two Epsilon-level Ground Centipedes and a sea of ordinary mutated insects, it would be extremely strenuous.

Since they were going to fight, they naturally had to prepare thoroughly.

Qin Qigong said, ”My suggestion is, except for some superhumans with special abilities, those with a superhuman ability index below 9,000 points are not recommended to go.”

”Let them be responsible for clearing out the minor monsters, while you four focus on hunting the two Epsilon-level Mutated Beasts!”

No one had any objections to this point.

However, thinking of this, Zhang Yi raised an eyebrow. The overall strength of the Jiangnan Region was among the lower ranks of the six major regions.

Coupled with the previous few operations, the number of squad leader-level superhumans was somewhat lacking.

At this point, transferring more from Blizzard City wouldn’t be of great significance.

In that case, he would need his companions to participate in this operation.

”After all, I can’t protect them forever. They need to grow alongside me.”

After pondering for a moment, Zhang Yi decided to let Liang Yue, Hua Hua, and even Fatty Xu and others participate in the operation.

Only then could they grow rapidly instead of solely relying on Zhang Yi.

Especially Hua Hua and Liang Yue, they were standard combat specialists who needed to grow continuously through battle.

Qin Qigong gave them another three days to study the materials, prepare their personnel, and gear up for the operation.

”Three days from now, we will officially head to the Qinling Mountains! Then rendezvous with [Zhen Yuanzi]!”

Qin Qigong said.

Everyone agreed. They didn’t eat much of the meal and gradually left the table, returning to prepare for the upcoming mission.

Leaving the conference hall, heavy snow was falling outside. The vast, empty square was covered in a thin layer of snow.

Zhang Yi stepped into the snow, walking forward step by step.

Just as he was about to descend the white marble steps, a heavily accented voice suddenly came from behind.

”Lord Chaos, please hold on a moment.”

Zhang Yi immediately knew it was Pagyi Gesang. He turned around and asked with a smile, ”Chief Pagyi, is there something?”

During his time in Shengjing, Zhang Yi hadn’t been idle. He had taken his family around Shengjing for a tour and handled some other matters in between.

Both Pagyi Gesang and Han Shanzuo had actually extended invitations to Zhang Yi, asking him to drink and chat together.

Zhang Yi remembered the meal at Chief Pagyi’s house quite well.

Because he had an excellent chef whose culinary creations left a deep impression on Zhang Yi.

Pagyi Gesang walked up to Zhang Yi with a smile. His obese physique gave off a comical, roly-poly feeling, making it easy for people to feel close to him.

”Nothing particularly special. It’s just that I felt an instant connection with you and very much hope to become your best friend.”

Pagyi Gesang said with a slight nod.

Zhang Yi widened his eyes slightly, then smiled. ”That would be my honor.”

Pagyi Gesang said, ”We came in a bit of a hurry and didn’t prepare the most sumptuous feast for you. That is my regret.”

”After you return, please allow me to host a welcoming banquet for you. Let the two of us drink heartily together. What do you think, sir?”

Looking at the clan leader of the second-largest family in the Southwest Region before him, Zhang Yi thought to himself: *He wants to build a good relationship with me? There’s nothing wrong with that.*

This is how social interactions work. Who wouldn’t want to forge a deep friendship with an Epsilon-level superhuman?

Zhang Yi nodded, about to agree.

But on second thought, he suddenly smiled and said, ”We don’t know how long it will take for us to come back this time. For you to say this, do you plan to stay here the entire time?”

The Southwest Region wasn’t participating in this operation. Staying here could only be for gathering intelligence.

Pagyi Gesang smiled and nodded. ”It’s a pity that the Khenpo and the Lord of the Charnel Ground did not agree to participate in this operation. But we still hold reverence for the mysterious Qinling Mountains.”

”It is like the vast Great Snowy Mountains of our Southwest, both possessing mysterious legends and sacred symbolism.”

Zhang Yi had heard of the Great Snowy Mountains. It was one of the main peaks of the Kunlun Mountains, located on the plateau of the Southwest Region.

Since ancient times, the Great Snowy Mountains have been a pilgrimage site for esoteric Buddhist followers, with countless legendary stories throughout history.

It even attracted numerous people from both within and outside the country to go there year-round for pilgrimage and worship. Some even said that upon reaching the Great Snowy Mountains, one’s soul could be redeemed.

Zhang Yi didn’t think too much of it, simply taking it as Pagyi Gesang’s polite way of speaking.

”Alright then. When I return, you must let me taste the most authentic food and drink of your Snowy Plateau Region!”

Zhang Yi said with a laugh.

Pagyi Gesang nodded, placing his right hand on his chest. ”I wish you glorious martial fortune, sir!”

Zhang Yi nodded. ”Thank you. Let’s share a drink then, upon our triumphant return!”

Zhang Yi didn’t pay much attention to this little interlude.

He simply treated it as a very ordinary social interaction.

He turned and walked through the snow towards the palace gate. He didn’t notice that behind him, Pagyi Gesang was staring at his retreating back. Within those narrow, squinting eyes was a profound, contemplative gleam.

”This rare commodity is worth hoarding.”
