Chapter 700: Chapter 756: Davarish, It Seems Like This is Smoking!_2

The co-pilot, Huai Shi, had already disappeared without a trace.

In the terrifying gale, Huai Shi was almost thrown to the back of the vehicle in an instant.

But The Sorrow of Index was tied to the rearview mirror, and Huai Shi, violently swaying in the wild wind, suddenly leaped and flipped onto the roof of the car.

Under the dim light of the setting sun, the truck spewed violent flames, as if it were traveling on top of gray-black clouds, charging toward the giant monster up ahead with bared fangs and claws.

”Good, just like that—” Huai Shi muttered to himself, his voice instantly swept behind by the hurricane.

In the terrifying airflow and severe cold, he slowly lifted his body, stood on the truck’s bed, and stared down the approaching rabid monster.

He reached out and grasped the heavy steel, counting down.

”5...”

The steel twisted beneath Huai Shi’s feet, and his boots began to creak under the strain, the stitching starting to pop.

Following that, Huai Shi felt himself boiling over.

As his heart pounded wildly, the fiery blood coursed through his veins, giving him the illusion that he was swelling up.

The rhythms of the Drummer and the Yu Step overlapped, creating the tempo for an Overload State.

Huai Shi’s complexion burned red.

He looked up.

”4...”

Foul wind hit his face, and the stench of ink seemed to carry some kind of toxin, reeking of raw viscera. The huge Bio-beast opened its mouth wide, numerous tentacles waving, forming a tight blockade calculated by the War Chip.

Welcome the prey to its cage.

One eye blood red.

”3...”

In his hand, the heavy steel proliferated inch by inch, extending instantaneously like the Cavalry Spear of a Knight, stretching to an astonishing length.

A full fifteen meters.

But what Huai Shi held was not a Long Spear.

It was an Iron Hammer!

The ferocious Wolf-headed hammer’s eyes suddenly opened, roaring out from the depths of torment, violently extracting Source Substance from Huai Shi, ceaselessly accumulating within it.

The suffering of one hundred thousand manifested here.

”2...”

In that instant, the distance between the truck and the War Synthetic Beast had narrowed perilously to one kilometer.

One thousand meters.

But for both parties, one thousand meters was but a fleeting moment.

Compared to the enormous Synthetic Beast stirring the tides in the sea of clouds, the truck was but a withered leaf amidst the storm, struggling to withstand the tremendous shadow looming over it.

Yet at that moment, the clanging of steel erupted suddenly.

From the roof!

”1...”

In the sweeping torrents of the storm, Huai Shi’s body shook violently and he stepped forward, leaving a footprint-shaped dent on the thick armor beneath his feet.

Then, the second step, the whole truck shook violently, quivering intensely.

And Huai Shi rushed forward!

A series of steel-twisting sounds followed his footsteps, extending forward, the shrill noises spreading all the way to the front of the truck, detonating a final thunderous blast over Raymond’s head.

BOOM!

Huai Shi had already sprinted forth from atop the vehicle.

Leaping into the air!

Like a speck of dust striving to rise from a withered leaf, he roared, breaking through the fierce winds, forging upstream, parting the raging torrents, ascending from mid-air, freeing himself from Earth’s gravity.

As if flying.

Soaring above that blood-red solitary eye.

In that instant of astonishment, as assessed by the War Chip, the danger rating for this tiny bug began to skyrocket!

The Synthetic Beast twisted its body, as if trying to back away.

But it was too late.

In Huai Shi’s hands, the steel that triggered sonic booms and white waves was swung forth.

The Wolf-headed hammer roared, and a scorching flame suddenly erupted from behind the hammer, like a volcanic eruption.

It traced a hideous arc, crashing down!

”—0!”

An instant of silence, as if eternity had frozen, marked by nothing but the upheaval caused by the hammer’s crushing blow on the tortured air.

But then, a ghastly shriek suddenly erupted, with tentacles flailing wildly into the sky.

A huge gash suddenly appeared on the face of the Synthetic Beast. Compared to its body, even the Iron Hammer extended to its limits was but a mere iron needle.

But now, that tiny needle was, like a fierce Axe, brutally carving a vast crack into its shell with sheer force and steel.

The shell shattered, bones crumbled, and blood turned into a roaring flood, gushing forth.

An unexpected surge burst forth.

The Synthetic Beast involuntarily rolled back, tilting, and amidst the writhing tentacles, a truck roared past, like a fish nimbly leaping out of a net.

But it wasn’t able to catch Huai Shi in time.

Too far apart!

In the fleeting moment they passed by each other, Huai Shi nonchalantly waved his hand and fell downward.

Then he threw out The Sorrow of Index, winding it around a tentacle.

In his hand, the hammer vanished, transforming into a heavy Axe Blade.

And with the tug of the Lock Chain, his body flew up again, plunging toward that shattered gash on the face of the Synthetic Beast.

Diving through layers of alloy bones, the burning Axe Blade cleaved toward the deepest darkness.

Sparks scattered, and upon the artificial brain tucked deep inside the Synthetic Beast—a black box weighing tons—a crack split open.

Followed by another blow of the axe, the crack twisted and curled, steel shattered, and countless chips broke apart.

Huai Shi reached out and violently threw an Alchemy Bomb the size of a head into the breach.

The Fire of Alchemy Stimulates.

In that instant, everyone saw the flames spewing out from the Synthetic Beast’s eye sockets.
