Chapter 671: Chapter 555 He’s Already Dead!_1

What the heck?

In the midst of the chaos, Huai Shi was taken aback. He glanced at the Sacrificial Knife in his hand and was immediately amused.

He then realized that the person opposite was mistaking him for one of their own subordinates.

After all, among the American Genealogy, the followers of the Lord of Skin-peeling were a bunch of Lao Yinbi who couldn’t show their faces in public. The most notorious were the assassins who did the dirty work.

The skill they were best at was peeling off the skin of their victims, draping it over themselves, and impersonating the victim.

This person before him... Huai Shi glanced at the Macawet, which had earlier been misconstrued as a standard weapon of The Skin-peeling Cathedral, and could almost conclude that it was a rare Stigmata Relic.

The smoke swirling around her was probably a remarkable Border Relic. The sense of deadly threat emanating from her, combined with her recent move, further indicated that she was a formidable opponent.

Taking into account her recent arrogance, it was safe to say that her status within the American Genealogy was probably not low.

”Shouldn’t you introduce yourself first before asking for someone else’s name?”

Casting a cold glance at Blood Kiss lurking nearby, his expression sullen, Huai Shi turned to the Teenage Girl in front of him and slightly raised an eyebrow.

Sensing Huai Shi’s disdain, the Teenage Girl, resting her hand on her Stone Tooth Sword, held her head high and solemnly declared:

”I am the envoy of Tezcatlipoca, the Lord of the Present and the Now, bathed in the afterglow of The First Sun, a divine power manifested on earth. A Noble Blood Descendant and High Priest—Lizard Eckmok!”

The High Priest of The First Sun!

Huai Shi stared in disbelief for a moment, his eyes wide as he carefully scrutinized her. He hadn’t expected to encounter a top prospect from the American Genealogy and a Fifth Stage reserve member within the Ivy League team!

Among the Aztec’s Nine United Gods, Tezcatlipoca—who once incarnated as The First Sun and is known as the everlasting King of Darkness—undoubtedly held an extremely lofty position.

As a Noble Blood Descendant and High Priest of Tezcatlipoca, her status was almost equivalent to that of people like Ye Xueya within the Dongxia Genealogy!

Within the two main representative forces of the American Genealogy—among the Aztecs—all Sublimators, upon their ascension, would receive the blessings left by the gods of old.

And to be favored by The First Sun was enough to prove the talent of the opponent before him.

At the same time, he felt the situation was becoming increasingly tricky.

”What’s wrong?” Liz’s gaze became mocking. ”Starting to feel reverence? Since you somehow stole this Sharp Blade of the Lord of Skin-peeling, you should know what reverence means. If you surrender now, I might show you some favor, for that pretty face of yours.”

”No, it’s not that... You... really don’t know who I am?” Huai Shi asked, surprised and pointing at himself.

”You?” Liz frowned. ”Why should I know you? What, are you famous or something?”

She truly had no idea who he was!

For some reason, Huai Shi suddenly felt a wave of defeat.

While the annoyances of fame often troubled him, he had to admit... deep down, he had always quite enjoyed it. Now, to encounter someone who hadn’t even heard of him, Huai Shi suddenly didn’t know how to react.

Heh, woman, I must admit, you’ve successfully caught my attention!

”Listen up, you country bumpkin from the sticks—”

Just as Huai Shi was about to speak, Beelzebub, the seasoned hype man whom he had been ignoring, suddenly popped partway out of the backpack pocket. He bellowed in a booming voice:

”Before you stands the Xinhai Chief Enforcer of the Astronomical Society, an internally S-level rated Action Officer, a registered Inspector, the Prince of Paradise, the Legendary Investigator, the Disastrous Musician, the Abyss Kitchen Devil, the King of Backstabbing, the Origin of the Abyss Giant Beast Bahamut, The Anointed One, the popular idol Lu, the Ivory Tower’s Most Popular New Teacher of the Year, lead lecturer in classical music, the overlord of scumbags, the scum among heroes, the Second fifth of Second fifths—Mr. Huai Shi!”

With that, he yelled at the top of his lungs, proclaiming loudly: ”—You are surrounded! Surrender now!”

A sudden silence fell.

Huai Shi: ”...”

Lizard Eckmok: ”...”

Blood Kiss: ”...”

Eye of Nightmare: ”...”

The Paradise Guard: ”...Holy!!!”

Although the Guard Team couldn’t quite figure out what was happening, they didn’t care. Whatever it was, shouting ’Holy!’ would cover it!

Liz stood frozen on the spot. She was stunned!

She hadn’t expected the enemy before her to reel off such a long string of titles. They sounded quite imposing and formidable, perhaps even impressive, although a few of the epithets didn’t seem very complimentary. Still... he seemed pretty badass.

Could it be that this person was truly some important figure, and she, after being isolated in District Nine for so many years, had really become a country bumpkin?

She looked questioningly at Blood Kiss.

”Don’t listen to his nonsense!” Blood Kiss said bitterly. ”Spouting so many titles to make himself sound impressive... Isn’t he just a White-named face?!”

Just in that brief encounter, his team had suffered heavy losses—sixteen members down!

Now, his resentment towards Huai Shi was practically overflowing.

Liz paused at his words, then looked again at Huai Shi’s face. Her expression turned serious and solemn. After a moment, she nodded. ”Yes, he is indeed quite handsome...”

”...” Blood Kiss stood there, stunned for a long moment, his face turning an ashen blue. He nearly choked on his own fury.

He had no idea what amorous whim had possessed that woman from the Ivy League!
