Chapter 672: Chapter 555 He’s Already Dead!_2

”Hey, you should be... called... Huai Shi, right?”

Liz looked up and declared, ”Are you interested in coming to Ivy Vine? I’m short on assistants, and you seem quite capable. I’ll give you an opportunity.”

Huai Shi revealed a professional smile. ”What a coincidence. If you’re willing to come to the Ivory Tower, I’m also in need of a student.”

Unexpectedly, Liz seemed to consider the offer.

”The Ivory Tower?”

She nodded. ”I wonder what the conditions are...”

At that moment, a chill of Death Perception hit her full in the face.

Without warning, the Buried Sacred Place erupted, a rolling darkness sweeping over everything. Cries of agony followed closely behind.

Blood Kiss stumbled back, the sound of something breaking emanating continuously from beneath his armor. At last, a line of bloody tears streamed from the corner of his eyes, and his pupils, previously brimming with evil light, now showed fractured cracks. The curse he had been quietly nurturing for so long had rebounded on him, bringing with it a twofold backlash.

Meanwhile, Lizard Eckmok’s figure had disappeared from its original spot, only to descend from the sky with the swiftness of a raptor. The Stone Tooth Sword, drenched in killing intent, chopped down once again.

Almost without any pause or warning, the moment she made her move, Huai Shi was already imprisoned in a cage of murderous intent.

Huai Shi retreated explosively, performing the Yu Step, but when he steadied himself ten meters away, the blade of the Stone Tooth Sword still loomed above his head, now shockingly close.

Huai Shi’s pupils contracted.

Damn it... After all my time ambushing and sucker-punching others, today I’m the one getting ambushed! I nearly capsized in my own gutter!

The Hammer of Sorrow surged upward, crashing onto the stone teeth of the sword blade. But those sharp stone teeth seemed to be condensed from something even more terrifying; the iron hammer, forged from the suffering of hundreds of thousands of lizard men, could not shake it in the slightest. The immense force was deflected by an even greater force.

After the strike failed, Huai Shi seemed resigned, as if he had given up on resisting.

Yet, from the shadows behind him, a sneaky old man suddenly appeared, holding a heavy pistol aimed directly at Liz’s face.

”—The Fly King: Judgment Mode... Full Release!”

The dark green Source Crystals were activated in an instant, unleashing an earth-shattering roar. A force capable of penetrating the double helix mystic ritual framework concentrated in a beam before violently spreading, nearly enveloping Liz’s entire figure within it. The power erupted explosively!

However, the numerous whorls of smoke around Liz condensed instantly into a strange and terrifying mask, shielding her from The Fly King’s fierce light. The next instant, countless fine cracks appeared on the mask. And the destructive Light of Judgement, unbelievably, reversed back to its source.

The bewildered old ghost had not even comprehended what happened before being burned to nothingness.

Seizing this crucial gap, Huai Shi launched a fierce counterattack. Brilliant flames of light condensed in his hands, and the spear tip, wrapped in the scent of iris flowers, whistled forward, clashing once more with the Stone Tooth Sword.

”—Triple-fold Drum Thunder!”

The floor beneath Huai Shi suddenly rippled, torn by the tremendous force. Forcibly employing this not-yet-fully-mastered move had already caused all ten of Huai Shi’s fingers to splinter, but in the ensuing thunderous outbreak, the venom-encased spearhead swept away the Stone Tooth Sword. Ignoring the lacerations from the stone teeth on his arm, he thrust at Liz’s chest, his speed increasing explosively once more, as if he had truly transformed into thunder!

He pierced through the opponent’s chest cavity!

Regrettably, it lacked the satisfying sensation of bursting a heart.

A bizarre flash, and Lizard Eckmok once again materialized in the distance, her face still showing traces of astonishment as a severe green color spread from the wound on her chest—a grievous injury!

The Spear of Compassion dissipated in the air, replaced by the Sword of Virtue. Huai Shi lunged forward, pressing in with every step.

He had finally discerned the Stigma hiding within Liz’s flesh—it was one of the five earthly incarnations of The First Sun, Tezcatlipoca: The Wind of Impermanence, the Leopard Man, the Smoke Mirror, the Demon Eagle, and the Great Magician. And hers was the Demon Eagle! It could also be called ’Left Hummingbird’—the Left Hummingbird that led to the War God, Huitzilopochtli!

That terrifying power, on par with any of her peers, along with the strange and frequent blinking skills and the odd miracles attached to the Stone Tooth Sword, were probably all extensions of this one Stigma.

With her Stone Tooth Sword heavily damaged from the previous clash, she was now also severely poisoned, and the protective mask she wore was on the verge of shattering—she was at her weakest.

At such a moment, Huai Shi had not the slightest intention of treating her delicately. Instead, he focused intently on her neck, feeling an indescribable urge to kill.

A formidable foe like her deserved the utmost respect, delivered in such a decisive manner!

And in this fleeting moment, Liz did not show the slightest hint of retreat. Her face, smeared with a trace of blood, broke into an almost frenzied smile. The Stone Tooth Sword in her hands roared to life. With the blessing of the Stigma, it vaguely brought forth the illusory image of the Curved Snake Cane.

Disregarding her severe wounds, she did not step back and fiercely launched an ”Offensive” at Huai Shi.

Before this, a violent tremor engulfed everything. The world seemed to whirl upside down. The devastated room suddenly manifested countless mechanical modules—the violent changes brought thick iron walls crashing down from the sky, instantaneously isolating the two combatants. The intense operation continued as, at this moment, the massive palace underwent yet another transformation...

”Damn it!” Liz roared, and her burning Stone Tooth Sword fiercely slashed down, tearing a gap in the wall. But apart from the rapidly changing room and countless moving machines, Huai Shi’s figure was nowhere to be found.

”Come back!!!”

The High Priest, inheritress of God’s Noble Blood, clutched her weapon, ignoring the spreading poison and her uncontrollable rage, ”Come back, you bastard!”

For a warrior like her, nothing was more insulting than having such an exhilarating battle disrupted.

Though she appeared petite, at this moment, she roared in rage like a lion, uncontrollably destroying everything in the room, smashing several rooms into ruins before stopping. She roared towards the ceiling several times before regaining her calm.

Her steps faltered slightly as she leaned on the dimming sword blade, breathing heavily. Constrained by the Stigma, the dark green poison that had spread up to her neck could no longer advance. She needed treatment.

”Do not fret, Ms. Liz. Why get angry over a dying man?” Blood Kiss stepped forward, gazing at the remaining drops of blood on the floor, then suddenly sneered.

That was the blood left by Huai Shi. It was also the necessary material and condition for the Blood Curse. Though ordinary poisons and curses were ineffective, the power of the Evil Eye was more than just that; even unseen, it possessed the power to torment even a Fourth Stage Sublimator!

A sudden cold wind rose, and a sinister green light shone in his eyes. Then, he bent down, drew a dagger, and scraped up the drop of blood on the ground. ”White-named face, this is your last mistake before death!”

Chanting a curse from Hell, he extended his tongue, covered with malicious runes, and swallowed that drop of blood. As if feasting on a living life, he let out a satisfied groan. The final step necessary for the curse was complete.

In the rising tide of terrifying malevolence, Blood Kiss couldn’t help but sneer, ”He’s already dead!”
