Apocalypse Escape: Day One of Survival

He glared at Feng JiaMin. ”What is wrong with you? You’ve had this same shitty attitude since we were kids! It’s disgusting!”

”It’s none of your business. Since when is what I do any of your concern?”

”Ji Taixian, how dare you speak to me like that?”

Seeing Feng JiaMin was about to explode, Mo Wanrong hurried forward to grab her arm, comforting her in a soft voice, ”Jia Min, Jia Min, stop fighting. I’m sure Tai Xian didn’t mean it.”

Feng JiaMin was furious. She poked Mo Wanrong’s head and cursed, ”You silly girl! You’re the only one who’s completely in the dark and can’t see what’s going on.”

”He goes out for a little while and comes back with a new flame. So where does that leave you?”

Mo Wanrong wrung the strap of her shoulder bag, her eyes welling with tears as she looked at her. ”Don’t say any more, Jia Min. Please, stop.”

”What new flame? Feng JiaMin, I’m warning you, watch your mouth.” Ji Taixian, who was standing to the side, had also been driven mad by her words. He raised his foot, about to kick the woman out.

Wang Zongxuan rushed forward and stopped him. The kick didn’t land, but Ji Taixian’s expression was still incredibly grim.

”Feng JiaMin, let me tell you, if it weren’t for your brother, I’d fucking...”

”You’d fucking what?” Feng JiaMin shot back, glaring at Ji Taixian. ”Ji Taixian, you’ve gotten bold, haven’t you! Was I wrong? Our families arranged your marriage to Wanrong when you were kids! What the hell is wrong with you now?”

”What is wrong with you?” Feng JiaMin reached out and poked Ji Taixian in the chest. ”You go out for a bit and come back with a mistress. I’m honestly impressed.”

”What? Just because she’s someone’s little sister, she thinks she’s a cut above the rest? Don’t think that just because you’ve latched onto Chen, you can climb the social ladder and become a phoenix...”

SLAP!

Before anyone could react, Song Kexin charged forward like a little steam engine and viciously slapped Feng JiaMin across the face.

Feng JiaMin was completely stunned.

She truly hadn’t expected any woman would be so brazen as to just walk up and strike her across the face!

Not only did Song Kexin slap Feng JiaMin, but she also grabbed a handful of her hair and pulled with all her might, shouting furiously, ”Are you insane? My sister isn’t here, so who the hell are you running your mouth about?”

”If my sister were standing here, would you dare say a single word of this nonsense? I bet you wouldn’t be able to get half a word out!”

”What’s wrong with hitting you? Hitting you is getting off easy. If my sister were here, she would have started beating you so badly your own parents wouldn’t recognize you before you even opened your mouth to say the first syllable of your first word!”

”Who do you think you are, acting like some queen bee all day? So you’re from the big compound, all high and mighty? You act like you’re best buddies with everyone, like they’re all your damn brothers? And stop playing the innocent little victim, you think no one can see through you?”

”Let me tell you, you should be grateful my sister isn’t here. Otherwise, for what you said today, she’d have given you fifteen, twenty slaps and left you wailing in pain!”

”What are you doing? You crazy woman, let go! Let go!” The other members of the Women’s Superpower Second Team panicked. Seeing their vice-captain being attacked, how could they just stand by?

A dozen or so women swarmed forward.

Seeing that the young Song Kexin was about to be outnumbered, how could the members of the Starfire Team tolerate that?

They all rushed up, chaotically trying to pull the girls from the other Superpower Team away.

Li Dawei yelled ”Get ’em!” and the Fierce Tiger Squad all moved in too.

Li Xiang grabbed a female team member and started yanking her hair. It didn’t matter who she was or if she knew her; she just pulled with all her might.

”AAAAHHH!” The female team member, her scalp aching from Li Xiang’s grip, shrieked and yelled.

And just like that, the two groups of people inexplicably started brawling.

When Zheng Heng and the others ran down, this was the chaotic scene that greeted them. They were speechless!

”What’s going on? What is happening?!” Zheng Heng quickly told his teammates to go notify the military leadership to come down and mediate the conflict.

The leader of Team Three was none other than Comrade Feng Lijian. When he ran down and saw the scene, he was absolutely dismayed.

This was a goddamn chaotic mess—their own people fighting each other!

”Everyone, stop! STOP!” Feng Lijian roared, his voice full of power.

”Still fighting, are you?” Feng Lijian was exasperated. ”Separate them all! Separate them!”

The Superpower Users from Team Three who had run down from the city wall to help rushed forward, prying apart locked arms and grabbing legs, frantically pulling people apart to either side.

Li Xiang was still yanking the female Superpower User’s head, pulling with all her might, while shouting domineeringly, ”Who are you people? Why are you pulling me? Let go! Don’t pull me!”

”Settle down!” The member of Superpower Team Three quickly pulled the two women apart and, exasperated but also amused, pushed Li Xiang to the side.

Once the crowd was separated, Feng Lijian immediately spotted his own sister, looking like a complete idiot with her messy hair and disheveled collar.

His blood pressure instantly skyrocketed.

”What do you think you’re doing!” Feng Lijian roared. ”Got too much energy and nowhere to spend it? Fine! Don’t go back and rest! Get back upstairs and keep fighting zombies!”

Li Dawei silently took a step back, retreating behind Song Kexin’s group.

”Jia Min, what happened?” The moment Feng Lijian saw Feng JiaMin looking like a street beggar, he felt a headache coming on.

’What am I going to do with this sister? She does nothing but cause trouble for me all day long.’

’She really has no idea what the word ’discretion’ even means.’

Feng JiaMin snapped to attention, jutted out her chin, and yelled, ”Reporting, sir! They started it!”

”That’s right, I started it,” Song Kexin sneered. ”Go on, play the video for Captain Feng! Let Captain Feng judge whether a foul-mouthed woman like this deserves a beating or not!”

Everyone: ”...”

Ji Taixian quietly leaned in close to Song Kexin. ”Xinxin, when did you record it?”

Song Shijun walked out from behind them, shot Ji Taixian a deadpan glance, and snorted in disdain.

Then he pulled a phone from his pocket, opened the video, and handed it directly to Feng Lijian to watch.

Feng Lijian’s brow furrowed as he watched, and he couldn’t help but look up at his sister.

After watching, he took a deep breath. ”Regardless, our own people should not be fighting each other.”

”This foul-mouthed woman insulted my sister, and I’m not supposed to hit her? I went easy on her,” Song Kexin sneered. ”If my sister were here today, I’m telling you, Captain Feng, this matter would be far from over! You’re lucky you ran into the reasonable one today!”

A member of Team Three quickly tried to smooth things over. ”A misunderstanding, a misunderstanding! This is all just a pure misunderstanding. Miss Xie is resting after overusing her superpower, so there’s no need to bother her with such a trivial matter, right?”

Song Shijun smiled. ”Miss Feng blocked our path and started cursing at us. Shouldn’t there be some kind of explanation for that?”

”The Starfire Team may be a civilian organization, but compared to you military teams, we’re hardly a bunch of pushovers.”

”Captain Feng, your sister provoked us without any reason today. If you don’t give us a proper account for this, it’s going to be a little hard to justify.”
