Dragon Monarch System

738  Chapter 738:- Offer

”Even though I was being controlled, please allow me to apologize for everything that I have done. Please know that none of my actions were under my control. Everything I did was being controlled by that b**** Luna.” The King of the Thera Kingdom bowed his head. ”Itʼs alright! There is no need for you or anyone here to apologize. Letʼs put the past behind us.” Hearing this, everyone else felt relieved. They felt a huge weight had been lifted from their shoulders. But only if they knew what Aditya had in his mind. Aditya will no longer trust them as he did before. He will now remain cautious and be prepared for them.

”But to make sure that this kind of situation does not arise in the future, I would like you all to sign a soul-binding contract,” Aditya said with a nice smile on his face. ”Can we know the details of this contract?” Aditya just signaled Spencer to tell everyone what was written on the contract. This contract will give Aditya more power over these Empires and Kingdoms. One of the conditions in the contract was that if any Kingdom ever decided to go against the Istarin Empire for no good reason, Aditya, the Emperor of the Istarin Empire, had the right to take control of that Kingdom for a while. He can rule over the Kingdom until the true reason for their actions is discovered.

Now, this rule has a few loopholes that Aditya can use to take over their Kingdoms whenever he wants. Hearing the conditions and the rules of this contract, everyone fell into silence. Aditya closed his eyes. ʼYou all know you have two choices.ʼ Aditya thought in his mind. Every one of these Kingdoms was heavily dependent on the Istarin Empire. Except for the Echo Dominion Empire, the other three Rulers knew that their Kingdomsʼ economy and safety relied on the Istarin Empire. Even the Echo Dominion Empireʼs economy was closely tied with the Istarin Empire. Not to mention that all of these Kingdoms obtained their supply of cheap but high-quality cultivation pills and medicines from the Istarin Empire. So, Severing their relationship with the Istarin Empire was never an option. Doing this would be the same as crippling their own Kingdoms. If they did not sign the contract, then they wonʼt have the trust of the Istarin Empire anymore. The Istarin Empire will slowly distance itself from that Kingdom, and they will lose all the benefits that they received from the Istarin Empire. The catch was that every Ruler in this room was desperate to regain the trust of the Istarin Empire. Even Emperor Daxton was no exception to this. So, to win the Empireʼs trust, everyone would sign the contract even though this contract would give the Istarin Empire power over their Kingdoms. The reason why these Rulers will sign this contract is because of Adityaʼs character. Even if they did sign the contract, it wasnʼt like Aditya would misuse his powers and take control of their territories. Aditya looked at the faces of all the Rulers. Everyone was deeply thinking. They were considering the advantages and disadvantages. Obviously, the advantages that they will gain from this contract are far more than the disadvantages. Before the meeting, Aditya and Spencer thought of this matter for about an hour. Given their current standing, they have no choice but to sign the contract.

ʼI never planned to misuse this power. The only reason that I am making them sign this contract is that having this power would give me peace of mind.ʼ After all, being everyone by these people once had left a mark on Adityaʼs mind. Even though, he knew that they were being controlled. Aditya still canʼt bring himself to fully trust them. This might be because of his past life. As a politician, he needed to be always cautious. There have been times when he has been betrayed by his close friends and partners. This is why, he hated Betrayers the most. After some difficulties, everyone signed the contract. ”Thank you for signing the contract. I promise that no one other than us will ever know about this contract.” Meanwhile, Spencer collected the signed contracts. ”Aditya, we trust you.” The meaning was clear. Daxton can tell that Aditya found it hard to trust them again. Who knows, someone else might control their minds again? Daxton did not blame Aditya for this. ”I really hope that we will be able to find a way to strengthen our minds against mind-controlling magic spells.” ”Perhaps I will be able to make artifacts that will protect the mind against Mind Controlling Magic Spells.” Aditya didnʼt sound sure, either. After all, this was a very complex territory that he had never explored before. The only mind-related rune that he knew was the rune that calmed the mind. ”I will need to do my research.”

ʼMaybe I can use that Self-proclaimed Goddess Luna for my research. On that note, maybe I should ask her to train Amber.ʼ Aditya thought that it might be a really wise decision to have Luna train Amber. After all, Amber was really talented in illusion magic, but whatever she knew was basically self-taught. At the same time, Luna was undoubtedly the best illusion magic user that Aditya had ever seen. Luna was their prisoner. Aditya can use her however he wants. The Istarin Empire was really lacking in the illusion Magic department. Other than Amber, the Empire did not have any talented Illusion Magic users. If Amber learned from Luna, her illusion magic would only become much more potent. That after, the meeting continued for almost 2 hours before Daxton, Aidan, and others left the Istarin Empire, feeling satisfied with the outcome of the meeting. ”Spencer.....”

”Your Majesty, do you require anything?” Spencer had just finished writing a summary of this meeting. Written records of all important meetings are always kept. Aditya can still find the written records of the Istarin Dynastyʼs first Kingʼs meeting.

”I want Luna to train Amber.” Hearing this, Spencer was surprised but he understood the benefits that Amber and the Istarin Empire will get from this. ”But Your Majesty, I do not think that Luna will agree to train Amber. And even if she did agree, I am a hundred and ten percent sure that she will try to use this opportunity to escape or make trouble.” Spencer was worried about freeing that woman from the prison. He heard that ever since she was put in the lowest level of the prison, the guards and the rest of the prisoners were so afraid of her that they stayed really far away from her. ”Donʼt worry. I will personally make sure that she doesnʼt play any tricks. I want you to inform Amber about this and get ready to be trained by her from tomorrow onwards.” Spencer nodded his head. ”If there is nothing else, then I will take my leave.” Spencer bowed to Aditya and then left. Aditya stayed seated for a few minutes and began to think deeply. ʼWith this contract, now one urgent matter has been resolved. Now, itʼs time to worry about the Dune Sovereignty Empire. But before that....!ʼ Aditya began to write a letter. -

Scene Change_______

At the lowest level of the Prison, there was one single cell. This single cell was slightly larger than the other cells of this prison. The interior of the cell was lit with moonlight. Other than that, the outside of the cell was covered in darkness. This darkness made Luna feel that she had been sent to an endless void. The only source of light came from the single dimly-lit moonstone in her cell. The False Goddess Luna was sitting on the floor with her bed resting against the cold wall of the cell. Since being put in prison, she hasnʼt seen the light of the sun. She hasnʼt had any interaction with any being. This was the first time she was spending this much time without her dear companion, Sky Serpent. In the past, whenever she was alone, at least she had the company of the Sky Serpent with her, but now she was truly alone. For the first time in her life, Luna felt lonely. And this feeling was really unbearable. Tap.....!! Tap.....!!!

Hearing the footsteps, Luna thought it was a guard coming to deliver her bland prison meal, as usual. ”To think that you have fallen this low.......!!” Luna heard an unfamiliar voice. When she raised her head, she saw the face of a handsome man with long blue hair and eyes that seemed to be glowing red in the darkness. From these features, she knew that the Emperor had personally visited him. ”I guess, youʼre here to laugh at my situation.” Luna stared into his eyes without a trace of fear. Her hair was disheveled. She was wearing a white ordinary prisoner outfit. Even her pretty face seems to have become ugly after being kept here. ”I am not here to laugh at anyone,” Aditya said in a neutral tone. ”What do you want? Are you finally here to kill me?” Luna asked. If death was what waited for her, at least she would be free after a moment of pain. She wonʼt any longer have to endure this suffocating loneliness and stay surrounded by this void of darkness. ”I am not here to kill you either. I came here with an offer.” ----------------
