Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 723 723:- Calm Before the Tempest

As the Empire solved the matter with Homunculus, all the closed cities were now fully opened. Now, people were allowed to travel to other places and freely exit the city. At least for now, there wasnʼt any threat to the Void figures. However, it was clearly mentioned to all the citizens that the situation might change at any given time, and all the cities of the empire might be closed again.

After all, the problem of the Homunculus wasnʼt completely resolved yet, and there was also ongoing war. Due to these two factors, the people of each city were advised to stay inside the city until everything became more peaceful.

Those who wish to leave or enter the city, either through the use of the teleportation Arrays or Gates, will need to go through heavy security checks. This ensures that no Homunculus pretending to be an ordinary citizen or soldier or anyone manages to enter or exit the city.

Who knows, when the war begins tomorrow, all the cities might be shut down again. Shutting down all the Istarin cities wasnʼt good for the Istarin Empireʼs economy. This also stopped exports and imports. Millions of people would lose their jobs and would have nothing to do. So, prolonged lockdown of each city of the Empire can seriously harm the Empireʼs economy and the local population.

Meanwhile, back to the Dragon Palace, After dinner with the whole family, everyone gathered in the living room. Julia and Riya were the only ones who returned to the laboratory.

Alicia couldnʼt make it for dinner because she was busy at the Dune Sovereignty Empire. The goddess was causing trouble all over the empire.

Sophia returned to the living room after putting Zak to bed. At eight years old, staying up late was not good for him.

Adityaʼs little sister Clara was also told to go to her bedroom and sleep as she was too young to worry about such things. Clara insisted on staying in the living room, but Leo and Aditya did not let her stay and told her to sleep.

The atmosphere in the living room was very serious and tense. No one really spoke anything. Everyone was silent. The whole living room was silent.

Seeing this serious atmosphere, Lilith felt that she should do something to lighten it. She felt bored because of this silent and very serious atmosphere.

She looked at her daughter, sitting by her side. Sasha was a silent girl. She didnʼt look bothered by this atmosphere. She was peacefully polishing her daggers with a white piece of cloth.

The Saint casually glanced around the room and looked at all the faces in the room. Her eyes stopped at Ameliaʼs figure for a few seconds before she continued looking around the room.

Normally, she would have picked a fight with her Rival, but this clearly wasnʼt the time for that, so she decided to pick someone else.

Lilithʼs eyes landed on a figure who had just gotten married and became a woman.

Aria felt like someone was staring at her. When she turned to look who was staring at her, she found that it was Lilith.

As their gazes met, Lilith smirked.

ʼFound my target!ʼ

This made Aria feel that this evil woman was planning something bad.

ʼPlease donʼt target me!ʼ Aria prayed in her heart.

ʼLetʼs pretend that I am busy with something.ʼ Aria leaned to her right side and looked at the documents her husband silently read. She pretended to read whatever her husband was reading, hoping not to be targeted by Lilith.

But Lilith wasnʼt going to fall for that.

She silently appeared behind Aria.

Aria was startled when she felt someone touching her shoulder. When she looked back, she saw Lilithʼs grinning face.

At this moment, Aria knew that she could not run anymore.

”Do you need something?” Suppressing the urge to run, Aria asked Lilith with a strained smile.

”Letʼs not disturb, Sir Spencer. Come with me.” When Aria blinked and opened her eyes, she sat next to Sasha. She was sandwiched between Sasha and Lilith.

Amelia, Sophia, and Lara were sitting nearby. They became interested and came closer to listen to their conversation.

”I have been trying to get in touch with you for some time now,” Lilith said with a smirk.

”For what?” Aria asked.

Lilith leaned forward and whispered into her right ear. ”How was your first night?”

Just this simple question turned Ariaʼs face red. Seeing her reaction, the other girls became even more interested in this topic. Even the cold and indifferent Sasha looked interested. Even though she pretended not to listen to their conversation, in reality, her body was slightly leaning towards Aria.

Aria was too embarrassed to say anything since there were other men sitting in the room besides her husband. And as cultivators, they could definitely tell her what they were talking about. This was just too shameful.

”Letʼs…. talk about this later.” Aria somehow managed to utter these words.

”Hehe…..!!!”

”It looks like we have a lot to talk about.” Lilith grinned, seeing Ariaʼs reaction.

”Your Majesty, the troops sent by all the nobles of the Empire have arrived.” Watson came from outside and informed Aditya. Under the direct command of the Emperor, every noble within the Empire mobilized their forces to partake in the ongoing war effort. Each noble carefully designated a portion of their troops to defend their own territories, while the remaining forces were summoned to the front lines to engage in the conflict.

”Alright, letʼs go.” Aditya stood up to meet his troops. Leo also stood up with Aditya and began following. As the future general of this Empire, Leo stayed by Adityaʼs side to learn everything that he needed. Adam and Spencer also followed Aditya.

In the end, only the girls were left in the living room. As soon as they left, Lilith did not hold back anymore. She grabbed Ariaʼs shoulders while grinning. ”Time to spill everything....!!!” Seeing Lilithʼs grinning face, she knew that she wasnʼt escaping this. -

Scene Change______

It was impossible to accommodate all the troops of the Istarin Empire. So the troops had gathered just outside of the Capital.

All the troops were standing just a few kilometers away from the Dragon Palace. Just from the entrance of the Dragon Palace, the Emperor could see millions of troops. This was the first time that all the troops of the Empire were gathered. More than a million troops had been missing since General Amber had taken them to attack the Thera Kingdom. The Five Generals of the Empire were already standing before the troops. Only General Nathan was missing. After all, Nathanʼs task wasnʼt to lead troops into the battlefield. His task was to continue protecting the interest of the empire from the shadows. From the walls of the Azure City, Aditya and others looked at the 10 million troops of the Empire. ”Spencer, have one million troops camp outside the city and wait for further instructions. They will serve as the reserve team. The remaining Imperial troops will also become part of the reserve team when the war begins. If the reserve team is called into action, I expect the Imperial soldiers to work alongside the regular soldiers.”

Aditya said this, knowing that some arrogant Imperial soldiers might not work together with regular soldiers because of their ego. He did not have time to worry about such things. Spencer had complete freedom to punish any soldiers as he deemed appropriate.

Due to Adityaʼs strict rules and policies, 99% of the imperial troops werenʼt arrogant. However, there will always be some bad ones, as the Emperor cannot control their thoughts and emotions.

”Understood.....!!” ”As for the rest, divide them into groups and send them to the borders.”

As discussed before, no additional troops will be sent to the Istarin territories in the Beast Continent. The cities in the Beast Continent were capable of defending themselves. If anything unexpected happens, some reserve team soldiers could be sent there. Most of the troops will be sent to the Northwest region. Since the Istarin Empire shares borders with the Hephaestus Kingdom and the Echo Dominion Empire in that region. -

Scene Change_____

At the same time, in the Echo Dominion Empire, under Goddess Lunaʼs orders, all the 5th-order cultivators of the allied forces were summoned. ”Lady Luna, they here.” Daxton politely told Luna of their arrival. ”Just like you told me, I have told them to not resist and let others absorb their Mana. You can rest assured, no one will disobey your orders.” Luna nodded feeling satisfied by her puppetʼs performance. Daxton could see an unfamiliar person standing next to Luna. ”Since they are here, take them to our base,” Luna said to the unfamiliar man standing next to her. Soon Luna found herself alone again. ”With this, we will have an army of millions of 5th-order cultivators.” ”Surely, even the Dragon Monarch wonʼt be able to fight millions of 5th-order cultivators.” ----------------
