Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 736:- New Training System

Why is she sending me a letter?” Aditya wondered. After all, he and the Princess of the Dune Sovereignty had no connection or any kind or form of contact. Aditya did not even know that she existed until a few minutes ago. ʼThinking this hard wonʼt give me any answers.ʼ

He sat down and opened the letter.

[Greetings!

My name is Soraya Flameheart. I am the Princess of the Dune Sovereignty Empire. I would like to congratulate you on your victory in this war. From the beginning, I had no doubt about the Istarin Empireʼs victory...]

Soraya was full of praises of the Istarin Empire and Aditya. Regardless, Aditya still continued reading. ʼWho knows this letter may be sent by the Emperor in the name of his daughter in an attempt to repair the relationship between two Empires.ʼ With that thought, Aditya continued reading. [I must highly praise you for your courage, strength, intelligence, and vision. Knowing your capabilities, I had no doubt that you would lead your Empire to victory. The Dragon Monarch and his Domain are unbeatable.]

[I am extremely disappointed by my fatherʼs decision to oppose the Istarin Empire and become its enemy.]

Just this one sentence made it instantly clear that this letter was not written by the Emperor using Sorayaʼs name. Rather, it was the princess herself who wrote this letter. From this sentence, Aditya can guess that the Princess had different views and opinions than Emperor Charles and the Crown Prince. [I have a feeling that all the chaotic chain of events that starts happening in Dune Sovereignty is your doing. But rest assured, I havenʼt shared any thoughts with anyone yet, nor do I have any intention of doing so.]

[I know the downfall of the Dune Sovereignty started the moment my foolish brother decided to provoke you.]

[The Dune Sovereignty does not stand a chance against the Istarin Empire. So I would like to make a request.] ʼHere it comes....!!ʼ [My request is simple, I donʼt care what happens to my brother and father. But if someday the Istarin Empire do decide to invade our homeland, I hope that Your Majesty will find some mercy in you to spare my life.]

Reading this, Aditya was once again left surprised. He thought that she would request him to spare her father and brotherʼs lives. But she, instead, requested him to spare her own life. This last sentence made Aditya really curious about the type of person the Princess was and the type of life she had lived. ”Watson?” Aditya called out Watson without looking up. His eyes were still on the letter that the Princess decided to write him. ”Your Majesty, do you need anything?” Watson was serving a cup of green herbal tea for Aditya. ”Please inform Nathan that I want to know more about this Princess Soraya. I want to know what kind of life she has lived with her father and brother. I want to know what kind of person is she. Please ensure to collect as much information as possible about her.” ”Understood!” ”Your Majesty, do you like to have any snacks with tea?” Watson asked before leaving. Aditya shook his head. ”Your Majesty, this morning, Walter and I have made special chocolates. These chocolates are made from Dragonfruit.” Hearing this, Aditya looked at Watson. ”I guess, I will try them.” ”Understood! I will be back soon.” Saying that, Watson quietly left Aditya alone in his office. Not even a minute after, Watson had left, someone knocked on his door. Knock!! Knock!!!

”Come inside, Spencer.” Spencer walked inside carrying a stack of documents.

”Where were you?” Aditya curiously asked. Aditya wasnʼt able to sense him in the Dragon Palace. ”I met with Silas.” Aditya gestured for Spencer to sit down. Spencer nodded while continuing to speak. ”Your Majesty, as you instructed, I gave Silas One Hundred Thousand Royal Gold Coins. I also granted him one hundred acres of land and erased his criminal record. Additionally, he now owns a large mansion in Zraka City and has been named an Honorary Knight. As part of his new status, he will also receive a yearly stipend, a personal guard, and access to the royal library.” Aditya nodded his head in satisfaction. Aditya gave Silas more than Silas asked for. When Aditya met Silas, Silas asked to be released from Prison along with his subordinates in exchange for the Information that he was about to give. Aditya would have given him a Mansion in the Capital, but knowing that he had a crush on the governor, Duchess Celestina Sarlus, Aditya cannot allow Silas to live in the Capital; otherwise, this guy might constantly harass her. ”Also, I strictly warned him that any illegal actions would result in revoking all privileges and potential imprisonment based on the severity of the offense.” ”Good job, Spencer.” Aditya was very satisfied with the way Spencer had dealt with this matter. ”Now, moving on, what are you going to do about your meeting with the former allies of the Istarin Empire? In fact, this also puts the existence of the Cosmic Tide Alliance in question as well. Two of its founding members are no longer allies with the Istarin Empire. Everything is wondering if this is the end of the Cosmic Tide Alliance.” ”No, the Cosmic Tide Alliance will continue.”

”Regardless of whether anyone agrees or not, the cold, hard fact is, the Istarin Empire is the Heart and Soul of the Cosmic Tide Alliance.” Spencer nodded his head, agreeing with Aditya. ”Without us, the Cosmic Tide Alliance is nothing. Without us, the Ethereal Empire, the Deep Sea Palace, and the Celestial Terrain wouldnʼt stay in this alliance. So, itʼs the Istarin Empire that holds the Cosmic Tide Alliance. We are the center and core of this alliance.” ”The Cosmic Tide Alliance will continue operating. As for the status of the four Kingdoms that betrayed us, it will be decided after a meeting with the Four Kingdom Rulers.” Aditya planned to use this opportunity to add a few terms and conditions in their new contract that would give the Istarin Empire more power if such a situation were to arise in the future. ”Well, there is no use in delaying this important. Spencer, please arrange a meeting.” ”Understood. What should be the timing of this meeting?” ”The meeting will be in mid-afternoon. And the meeting will take place here.” Spencer note down everything on a diary so that he wouldnʼt forget any details. ”Your Majesty, now that the war is finally over, what are we going to do about the Dune Sovereignty?” Spencer curiously asked. Adityaʼs response is going to decide whether he will propose investing in new projects all around the Istarin Empire or not. ”Itʼs going to take them a while to deal with all the chaos that Alicia has caused in their Empire in such a short time period. So for now we will observe them.”

”Meanwhile, I want to strength the defense of the Istarin Empire. During this whole Felix and Homunculus event I have spotted many weaknesses in our Empireʼs defense. I want to fix them first.”

”Excellent! There are some projects that I wanted to suggest.” Spencer said with a smile. ”Alright, go on.....!!” Since Spencer wanted to make some suggestions, Aditya knew that these projects might be very practical. Spencer must have thought twice before coming up with these ideas. ”First, I propose introducing a new military training system,” Spencer began.

Aditya immediately leaned forward. He was very interested in Spencerʼs idea. ”Go on,” He urged Spencer.

”In this war, Iʼve noticed a significant gap between our Imperial troops and the regular soldiers. The difference in skill and effectiveness is far too great,” Spencer explained. Aditya also nodded his head. He, too, had noticed this problem, but he had been too caught up in other things to think about this.

”I suggest we hold Special Training Camps every three months. In these camps, a selected percentage of regular soldiers will undergo the rigorous training that our Imperial troops receive. The aim is to close the skill gap and improve the overall quality of our forces.”

Spencer continued, ”These camps will be tough and will mimic the harsh conditions and intense drills that our elite soldiers face. By doing this, we can ensure that our regular troops are better prepared and more effective in battle.”

Aditya nodded thoughtfully as Spencer went on, ”We also need to address the training methods used by the nobles in our Empire. Some may have implemented lenient and easy systems, resulting in lower-quality troops. To combat this, I propose a new baseline for recruitment, which we can call the ʼIstarin Standard.ʼ All nobles in the Empire will be required to adhere to this standard. If new recruits do not meet the criteria set by the Istarin Standard, they cannot be legally enlisted or trained as soldiers. Every month, special officers selected from the Imperial troops visit each nobleʼs territories and confirm with their own eyes whether the new recruits meet the criteria set by the Istarin Empire. Only then the nobles will be allowed to enlist legally.”

Spencer paused, letting his words sink in before adding, ”Implementing these changes will ensure that all our troops, regardless of their origin, are well-trained and capable of defending our Empire effectively.” Aditya nodded his head. ”Now, letʼs discuss the New Special Training system,” Spencer continued. ”I propose building ten Special Training Camps just outside Azure City. Each camp will be able to accommodate 50,000 troops at a time.”

Aditya listened intently as Spencer elaborated, ”Since we canʼt send all the nobleʼs troops to these camps at once, I suggest sending about 10 to 20% of their soldiers to the camps. The troops will rotate through the training. For example, the year will be divided into training seasons. Each year, there will be three Special Training Seasons. Once a soldier has completed one season at a Special Training Camp, they wonʼt need to attend again until all the other troops in that nobleʼs territory have had their turn. After that, the cycle will repeat.” This meant that in a year, a total of 1.5 million troops will be trained in the special training Camps. Spencer paused for a moment to ensure Aditya was following before continuing, ”This system ensures that every soldier gets the chance to benefit from the advanced training without overwhelming the camps or leaving any territory unprotected.”

Spencer then added, ”Your Majesty, it would be wise to meet with the seven Generals to decide on the exact training program. They can determine how the troops will be trained and what their schedule will be during their stay at the camps. This will ensure the training is both rigorous and effective.”

”I feel that instead of building all ten training camps just outside of the Azure City, we should build each training camp in different parts of the Istarin Empire.” ”After all, the Azure City is already this big. The Azure City is the largest and most populated city in the Dying Isle Continent or maybe in the whole world. In the future, the size of the Azure City will only keep growing. Now, if we build ten training camps, each being large enough to accommodate 50,000 soldiers, a ton of space will be required. Meaning the outside of the Azure City will become very crowded. We shouldnʼt also forget about all the small villages scattered around the Capital. I donʼt want to destroy those peopleʼs home.” Spencer thought for a moment and then nodded his head. Adityaʼs words made sense. ”We can use the empty islands that the Istarin Empire has. A few training camps can be built there,”

”We could also build one in the Beast Continent. In short, we should build each training camp in different terrains. This will allow our troops to quickly adapt to fighting in various environments.” Spencer nodded. This was even better than his initial suggestion. ”At the end of each training camp session, we can hold competitions. The top 1,000 troops in each camp will be rewarded with cultivation resources. This way, we can ensure that only the most talented soldiers are nurtured and motivated to excel.”

”Though, implementing this process is going to cost a ton of money.” Spencer said after listening to Adityaʼs words. Aditya just waved his hand and said. ”No need to worry. Gold coins is the last thing that this Empire lacks.” It was time for the Istarin Empire to militarily upgrade itself to become the best in the world. ----------------
