In the nameless valley of Red Cloud Mountain, a boat was floating on the lake. An old man was fishing in the boat on his own, and his fishing rod had dropped into the water. A fish seemed to have been hooked as it swam around the surface while lugging along the rod.

When the sounds of breaking through the air were heard, several figures descended. With Geng Wuwang as the leader, the enforcement team of six people soon surrounded this person.

As that happened, they summoned the Six Elemental Spirit Locks. In an instant, the flow of Spiritual Power was prohibited in the space where the old man was located. The turn of events made the old man grunt as he hunched his back.

Lu Ye hovered on the right side behind the old man. He could see that the old man was slim and energetic.

[He must be our target this time.]

The old man’s appearance was ordinary, but judging from the brief conversation between Geng Wuwang and An Mofeng earlier, Lu Ye knew that this old man was more complicated than he seemed.

The next second, the old man got to his feet and glanced at An Mofeng with a smile. “Hello, Senior Brother.”

An Mofeng felt heartbroken while looking at this old man, who grew up with him, joined Red Cloud Mountain with him, and developed the Sect to where it was with him. His dry lips squirmed, but he couldn’t utter a word.

“All of you must be the law enforcers of the Ministry of Laws.” The old man turned to look at Geng Wuwang and the others. He seemed to be resigned to his fate as he didn’t have the intention of going against them. He even remarked, “Every one of you is brilliant. It’s great to be young.”

Certainly, the main reason was that he couldn’t resist. With the Six Elemental Spirit Locks in place, he couldn’t activate his Spiritual Power. Regardless of how powerful he was previously, he was only a person with a sturdy figure now. There was no way he could go against them.

Geng Wuwang snorted and fished out a scroll embroidered with golden threads from his clothes. Then, he expanded it and announced, “The Great Elder of Red Cloud Mountain, Ning Hu, originally named Zhao Jing, comes from Yun Zhou. You snuck into Bing Zhou 87 years ago and changed your name. You had a chance to join Red Cloud Mountain, and you’ve been concealing your identity since then to destroy Bing Zhou’s foundation. There are seven crimes that you’ve committed. We’re Team A3 from Law Enforcement Hall, and we’re here to arrest you.”

He then went on to say, “Your first crime took place 43 years ago. When the former Sect Master of Red Cloud Mountain was out there to carry out his task, you ambushed and killed him. The second crime happened 39 years ago. When war broke out at Heavy Cloud Canyon, you assassinated many cultivators from the Grand Sky Coalition. The third crime took place 37 years ago. During the battle at Hundred Battles Canyon, you informed the enemies of our secrets and made us suffer immense losses. Thousands of people were killed because of that. The fourth crime…”

Although An Mofeng already had some speculation in mind, he still staggered as his face turned pale when Geng Wuwang announced Ning Hu’s crimes.

He had never expected that the Junior Brother he had lived with for decades was such a person. He grew more crestfallen as Geng Wuwang went on to announce his crimes.

“The fifth crime… Forget it. I’m too lazy to keep on saying everything.” Geng Wuwang impatiently kept the scroll and stared icily at Ning Hu. “Anyway, Ning Hu, your crimes have been exposed. Arrest him!”

As soon as he gave the order, two Dragon Binding Ropes flew out from Shangguan Qiu and Mu Zheng. These Spell Artifacts coiled around Ning Hu and tied him up.

The task was surprisingly simple.

Lu Ye initially there was bound to be a fight, but much to his surprise, their target didn’t have the intention of resisting them. He just let them activate Six Elemental Spirit Locks and Dragon Binding Ropes.

After the person was captured, there was no way he could cause a scene.

In other words, the task had been completed, and all they had to do was bring Ning Hu back to Grand Sky City. As for how he would be punished, it would be up to those at the prison.

While Lu Ye was in his thoughts, he suddenly felt that something was off. For some reason, he was overwhelmed with a sense of danger.

With a solemn expression, he kept his guard up.

Such hunches were usually inaccurate, but they might serve as a warning sometimes. Since Lu Ye had a Divine Ego now, he couldn’t ignore such hunches.

Suddenly, he realised that even though his crimes had been exposed, Ning Hu wasn’t supposed to let them arrest him easily. Even ants wouldn’t want to get killed, let alone cultivators.

Ning Hu understood what would happen if he was arrested. If Lu Ye was in his shoes, he wouldn’t stay idly by and wait for death even though he knew resistance was futile. It was unless he no longer wanted to live.

However, Ning Hu didn’t seem like he was going to end his life.

Although he couldn’t access his Spiritual Power and had been tied up with two Dragon Binding Ropes, he was still calm and collected as he said to Geng Wuwang, “Fellow Cultivator, rules are dead, and Humans are not unfeeling. Since I’ve been cooperative, will you please allow me to speak to my Senior Brother for a while?”

Geng Wuwang frowned for a bit before nodding. “You have five minutes.”

“It won’t take so long.” Ning Hu smiled and glanced at An Mofeng, whose face was livid. “I’m sure you have many questions, Senior Brother.”

An Mofeng was flustered. Although he had many questions, he couldn’t bring himself to ask them. He subconsciously said, “Is there a misunderstanding going on? Aren’t you going to explain anything, Junior Brother?”

Ning Hu chuckled. “Senior Brother, you’ve been naive since a young age, and you’ve never changed. How are you supposed to lead Red Cloud Mountain? We both know that the Ministry of Laws won’t easily take action. Once they do that, they must’ve collected solid evidence. Didn’t you hear what this Fellow Cultivator had said?”

An Mofeng clenched his fists and said through gritted teeth, “In that case, you’re indeed a mole from Thousand Demon Ridge.”

Ning Hu sighed. “I suppose fate has pulled a prank on me.”

“Did you kill the former Sect Master?”

“Well, that was not my fault. I have no idea how the Ministry of Laws got the information about the incident that happened decades ago, but the former Sect Master was badly injured and on his last legs at that time. I merely ended his life sooner to relieve him of his suffering. He had taught me a lot, so he could be considered a Half-Master to me. Although I’m a mole from Thousand Demon Ridge, I would never do such a despicable thing.”

“What about the other matters?”

“Well, you could say I had done those things,” Ning Hu replied impassively. Seeing that An Mofeng still harped on such issues, he sighed. “Senior Brother, time is running out for me. Are these questions the only things you want to ask?”

An Mofeng was rendered speechless. Naturally, he knew he was asking the obvious.

Ning Hu said, “There’s no need to keep trying, Senior Brother. I’m indeed a mole from Thousand Demon Ridge. Before I even started cultivating, I was sent to this place. Although I’ve been forced, I’ve indeed harmed the interests of the Grand Sky Coalition. The Ministry of Laws has every reason to arrest me.”

“No way…” Even at this point, An Mofeng still couldn’t believe what he saw. Such an incident was indeed unacceptable for anyone.

“There are many moles like me within the Grand Sky Coalition. Certainly, the Grand Sky Coalition has many moles within Thousand Demon Ridge as well. That’s how the two sides have been doing to contend with each other. Although I’m from Thousand Demon Ridge, I grew up in Red Cloud Mountain, and I’ve always regarded myself as part of this Sect. I’ve always wanted to make Red Cloud Mountain a Tier-Three Sect along with you.”

He looked into the distance with a conflicted gaze. “It’s such a shame.”

“Time’s up, Sect Master An. We’re supposed to leave now,” Geng Wuwang demanded.

An Mofeng was rooted to the spot. The shocking news had made him unable to think straight.

Seeing that, Ning Hu shook his head, thinking that his Senior Brother was too weak. “After the former Sect Master died, many Elders recommended that you replace him. I was against the idea because you couldn’t lead a Sect. You’re easily swayed by external forces. Now, it seems that I’m right. You’re too stunned to react just because I’m a traitor. What will you do if there’s a bigger crisis?”

“What do you mean?” An Mofeng subconsciously asked.

“What about the destruction of this Sect?” Ning Hu stared fixedly at him.

At that moment, Lu Ye felt his chest tightening. The sense of danger he felt had intensified.

The next second, the sound of a saber getting unsheathed shocked everyone. When they turned their heads, they saw that Lu Ye’s saber was aflame as he pounced on Ning Hu.

The turn of events astounded Geng Wuwang and the others. They had no idea what was wrong with Lu Ye. Their mission was to arrest their target. As for how the person would be punished, it was none of their business. Those from Grand Sky City would handle it.

If Lu Ye killed the culprit now, they wouldn’t be able to explain themselves when they returned.

“Stop!” As soon as Geng Wuwang finished speaking, his expression changed drastically.

That was because the tied-up Ning Hu, who was supposedly powerless to counterattack, suddenly exuded a powerful and invisible force as it spread in all directions.

The next moment, Geng Wuwang felt a sharp pain in his mind and started seeing Stars. The others lost their balance and fell into the lake.

“Divine Ego!” After all, Geng Wuwang was a Ninth-Order Real Lake Realm Master, so he didn’t immediately pass out. Upon realising what happened, he was shocked and furious.

Their target this time wasn’t a Real Lake Realm Master. Instead, he was a hidden Divine Ocean Realm Master.

Now one knew when he had ascended to the Divine Ocean Realm, nor did they have any idea how he had been able to hide it for so many years. Judging from his Divine Ego’s strength, it must’ve been a while since he achieved an ascension. He was probably a Second-Order Divine Ocean Realm Master at the very least.

No one had expected the shocking incident. Impacted by the Soul Attack, An Mofeng and Geng Wuwang could still retain their balance, but the others had plunged into the lake.

The Six Elemental Spirit Locks lost effect instantly. Only Lu Ye was unaffected as he brought down his saber.

“Huh?” Ning Hu appeared surprised.

He could sense that Lu Ye was the weakest among these people as the latter was only a First-Order Real Lake Realm Master.

But during this crisis, Lu Ye was the most understanding one. He had even reacted before Ning Hu made a move.

Faced with the Soul Attack, a First-Order Real Lake Realm Master like him was unperturbed. That was indeed strange.

Ning Hu subconsciously thought that Lu Ye was from a top Sect, so he was probably wearing an incredible treasure.
