Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Following behind the older attendant who had expected him to turn around and leave upon seeing how expensive the divine earth root was, Xuan Hao took the opportunity to inspect some of the other treasures along the way deeper into treasure hall. Finding more heavenly and earthly treasures for sale alongside different saint grade artifacts and all kinds of rare spiritual herbs and metals that he hadn’t even heard about before. Making him feel increasingly saddened that his strength wasn’t high enough to forcibly take away everything within the treasure hall.

Still, he didn’t remain sad about this for too long, as he reasoned that he would inevitably get strong enough to take sweep through the twenty seventh floor of the tower without having to worry about the Star Creation Realm cultivator lurking within the small world. Smiling at this thought as he followed behind the older attendant, he soon enough found himself in front of the appraiser of the treasure hall. An older man who had surprisingly reached the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm instead of the Breaking Dawn Realm, though he soon realized that it made sense for Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators to still be around even with the Profound Immortal Realm becoming the mainstream path, as it was ultimately still easier for someone to break through to the Celestial Immortal Realm compared to the Profound Immortal Realm.

”So… You brought someone who wants to exchange treasures to buy something?” Unaware of the fact that he had just been judged as someone lacking talent by Xuan Hao, the older appraiser slowly opened his eyes after the older attendant called out to him. Examining Xuan Hao from top to bottom before slowly nodding his head. ”Senior, you can present the treasure you want to use for the exchange, and I will check it and determine its value. Of course, if you think the price offered is unfair, you can always refuse to trade with us, but as you should already know, our treasure hall has never deceived a customer when appraising treasure value. After all, trust is the most important in this kind of business if one wants to keep people coming.”

”I understand, I trust your treasure hall won’t do anything like that.” Rolling his eyes a bit at the words of the appraiser in front of him, Xuan Hao pulled out a smaller space node stone around the size of a fist before placing it into the outstretched hand of the appraiser.

”Oh? An interspatial ring… How rare, to think someone would use precious spatial metal for something like that. Looks like you might really have enough spatial metal on hand to trade for the divine earth root.” Showing a somewhat surprised look on his face upon seeing him using an interspatial ring instead of storing it inside a spatial bag, the appraiser began examining the space node stone with far more enthusiasm than he might have originally done.

The reason being that spatial metal was far too rare within the small world. Rare to the point where interspatial rings weren’t a thing because it used spatial metals in its production. Instead, most people tended to use a spatial bag, a far more complex artifact that involved carving spatial formations into a bag made of special leather or material from a powerful demon beast.

The effect was the same, though the spatial bag was far more difficult to create. Luckily, because the Dao of Space could be considered widespread within the small world, this wasn’t much of a problem, as special bag crafters had emerged among the lower end of those proficient in the Dao of Space. Spending their time crafting spatial bags to sell.

Of course, Xuan Hao was aware of how widespread spatial bags were given how difficult they were to miss, but he was unaware of just how rare spatial metals were within the small world and only really managed to get an idea of just how rare it was upon seeing the somewhat ridiculously reaction from the appraiser to a single interspatial ring.

At the same time, it also made him feel somewhat excited, as he realized his purchasing power within the small world might be far higher than he had originally thought.

If he could exchange all the space node stones currently on him for a few heavenly or earthly treasures, he would be more than happy to do so given how he had a place to gather more space node stones in the future.

”This…! Such a powerful spatial resonance! This is undoubtedly a top grade spatial metal!” And just as he thought about using space node mines to buy what he needed from the small world on the twenty seventh floor, the appraiser examining the space node stone suddenly shot to his feet before grasping his hands out of excitement. ”No matter how much of it, the treasure hall is willing to buy all of it!”

But even though he was happy with this kind of reaction, he was still a bit taken aback by the excited reaction of the old appraiser. ”Don’t worry, I was planning to sell it in the first place…” Trying his best to calm down the older man before slowly starting what could be considered the true discussion regarding the purchase of the divine earth root.

The discussion stretched on for the next fifteen minutes as Xuan Hao pulled out all the space node stones he had left on him. Feeling a bit disappointed that he hadn’t kept more on him and had instead handed over the majority of what was left to the sect, as the formation hall needed them to practice spatial formations and attempt laying down new teleportation formations to expand the sect’s teleportation network.

However, though he only had a few space node stones on him, their value went far beyond what he had originally anticipated, as he somehow found himself walking away with not just the divine earth root, but also two other earthly treasures, one of which was clearly of a higher quality compared to the other and the divine earth root.

In no way was this trade fair in his eyes, but from the excited grin of the older appraiser, it was clear that the other party believed he had managed to strike a good deal and had been the one to win out in the end.

Still, if the other party was happy, he wouldn’t say anything. Not to mention, he truly hadn’t expected spatial metal to be that valuable within the small world. During his original first journey through the small world, he hadn’t paid much attention to the different resources that could be found throughout the small world, but given the number of powerful cultivators present along with the vast number of said powerful cultivators were proficient in the Dao of Space and the small size of the world, it made sense that there would be a lack of spatial metal.

Still, as he thought about this, he suddenly noticed an interspatial ring prominently displayed within the treasure hall as he was about to leave…

[Space Fire Stone Interspatial Ring]

[Type: Interspatial Ring]

[Description: An interspatial ring made entirely of space fire stone, a rare spatial metal.]

[Price: 1800 Top Grade Spirit Stones]

This… Was I perhaps scammed…?

And it was the terrifying price of this one interspatial ring made of spiritual metal with a spatial attribute attached of a quality around the same level as the space node stones he had just sold that made him realize that he might have sold his space node stones for far too little.

However, though he should feel angry about this, he didn’t particularly feel anything after having already obtained three earthly treasures from what he generally considered a few useless rocks gathering dust inside one of his interspatial rings.

If anything, this made him sure that he had to visit this floor of the tower again in the future to gather more resources for himself and the sect. Hopefully, it might even help him in preparing to breakthrough to the Star Creation Realm in the future. After all, it shouldn’t be that difficult to interact with someone at the Star Creation Realm and learn more about the realm from these seniors within the small world.

Even if it was difficult to meet under normal circumstances, he could always use spatial metal to buy his way inside. After all, he doubted those powerful figures would refuse to impart a bit of their knowledge into the Star Creation Realm after he gave them something so rare and precious.

Feeling his path to the Star Creation Realm becoming increasingly clear as he realized just how precious of an opportunity this twenty seventh floor of the ascension realm tower had become to him, Xuan Hao happily left the Endless Treasure Hall that had managed to successfully ’scam’ him. Planning to find somewhere to absorb the earthly treasures he had just obtained before officially attempting to clear the immortal ascension staircase. After all, there was no way he was going to risk losing the earthly treasures…

[Time limit: 2 days 21 hours…]

Is what he wanted to say if there wasn’t a time limit on completing the task assigned to him and failing would essentially mean the same as dying from what he had overheard from a few disciples who happened to fail a time limited task within the tower.
