Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

As Xuan Hao found himself reaching the core of the small world where the Heavens Faith Sect was located, in another part of the ascension realm tower, his newest disciple found herself facing the floor boss of the first floor alongside two fellow disciples. Having worked together over the past few days to successfully complete the first part of the challenge that had required them to kill demon beasts by overwhelming the demon beasts in question with numbers.

”Is this demon beast really at the Qi Condensation Realm!? It’s stronger than the senior sister at the Foundation Establishment Realm I practiced with in the past!”

”No wonder people don’t usually team up to take on the first floor of the tower; this kind of demon beast is impossible for someone at the Qi Condensation Realm to take down.”

And just standing there without even attacking them, the sheer pressure of the floor boss was enough to cause both of her companions to shrink back. Even though the demon beast in question was still only at the Ninth Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm and they had killed a few such demon beasts over the past few days by working together, Lu Dongli found herself agreeing with the assessment of the other two when it came to the strength of this demon beast.

In a sense, it was in no way inferior to someone in the Foundation Establishment Realm and might even surpass someone who had just recently reached the Foundation Establishment Realm.

Although she had memories of fighting from her past life, most of what she remembered was combat for the Nascent Soul Realm and didn’t have anything to do with the Qi Condensation Realm, as she had spent most of her time before reaching the Nascent Soul Realm in deep meditation with no chance to increase her combat experience.

In fact, even after reaching the Nascent Soul Realm, she didn’t gain much combat experience and had generally just relied on the ice cold qi within her body to overwhelm her enemies, something that wasn’t doable in the current situation, as the cold qi within her body was nowhere near strong enough to pose any real threat to the floor boss before them.

”Let’s just give it a try, if we fail, we will just get thrown out of the first floor. In any case, we can always try again in the future or try to clear the first floor on our own.”

But even though there was little to no chance of them defeating this powerful demon beast, she didn’t intend on throwing in the towel ahead of time. Making her intention of giving it everything she had clear to the other two, who in turn nodded their head before the three girls slowly began approaching the still unaware demon beast in a practiced manner. Showcasing the fact that they had carried out a similar type of ambush before when dealing with the other demon beasts on the first floor.

Rooar?

Of course, with the difference in strength between the two parties, it was obvious that the demon beast would notice them approaching, as it turned towards the three the second they got within a dozen meters of it, but the three had already prepared for such a situation, with the older and stronger girl being the one taking the lead while Lu Dongli and the weaker smaller girl followed behind. Allowing the stronger girl to tank the first attack while the two of them launched an attack from behind.

A good plan under normal circumstances-

”Huh?”

BANG!

Unfortunately for the group of three, the demon beast serving as the boss of the first floor was far from simple. Seeing through the plan of the group of inexperienced young girls and directly eliminating the youngest girl before the remaining two had a chance to react.

”Wha-”

BANG!

And before Lu Dongli had a chance to mount a proper defense at the sudden change in the situation, she joined the younger girl who had been eliminated a second earlier. Only able to use the cold qi flowing through her body to condense a small ice spike that barely scratched the surface of the demon beast. Leaving the older girl behind on her own to face off against the demon beast that had just eliminated her two companions in a single move.

Unsurprisingly, Lu Dongli and the younger girl only had to wait for a few minutes before the older girl was thrown out of the first floor and joined the two of them on the ground floor of the tower.

”That was… Unexpected…” Feeling somewhat reluctant thinking about how she didn’t even get a chance to fight back, Lu Dongli could not help silently grumbling to herself as she stared towards the spiral staircase in the distance.

”Yeah… I didn’t even see it before- Bang! And I was dead…” A feeling that was shared by the little one who had been eliminated even faster than she had. Having been the first target of the demon beast.

”Far smarter and stronger than expected, even though I managed to hold on for a bit, it wasn’t so much because I was stronger, but more so because it seemed to be toying with me before finally killing me when it grew bored…” Even the older girl agreed to the sentiment of the two who had been instantly killed by the demon beast. The floor boss that had been powered up was simply not possible for someone in the Qi Condensation Realm to kill.

Still, even though the three had ended up defeated this time around, none of them were dissatisfied with the battles they had gone through over the past few days. The experience they gained from those battles against stronger enemies being valuable while at the same time also serving as a way for the three girls to bond with each other.

Not to mention, even with the failure this time around, the three still intended on continuing to challenge the first floor of the tower, neither of them willing to waste the one free opportunity they had to enter the tower without clearing the first floor.

Originally, they weren’t planning on going together to challenge the first floor again after seeing how powerful the floor boss became, but after thinking things through, the three realized that they might not have a better chance on their own.

Thus, the three ended up taking a deserved break in a corner of the ground floor before making their way back up the spiral staircase to once again challenge the first floor of the tower. Planning to try a different approach to handling the floor boss this time around, as it was clear that a direct charge like the one they had used to deal with the other demon beasts on the first floor wasn’t going to work.

As for how this would work out for the three… That was a matter for the future, as all the way on the twenty seventh floor of the tower, Lu Dongli’s master found himself encountering a branch of the Heavens Faith Sect that wasn’t some subordinate power but a true branch of the Heavens Faith Sect.
