Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having dealt with the two troublemakers without encountering any problems along the way, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit surprised that there wasn’t any kind of response after he killed the two. Part of him expecting to be attacked by some stronger cultivator as he was about to leave.

But then again, this was for the better in his opinion, as he didn’t have to set aside more time for dealing with something that didn’t involve taking on Lu Dongli as his seventh disciple. Not to mention, with the western district of the capital city reduced to ruins alongside several major families that had made that part of the capital city their home, things were bound to become chaotic within the small kingdom over the next few days.

Even if the royal family remained intact and had escaped the damage that essentially erased the western part of their capital city, the loss of so many powerful major families and even a few noble families related to the royal family by blood, was not something to be taken lightly, as the small kingdom had just ended up losing over a quarter of the Core Formation Realm cultivators under it.

Although Core Formation Realm cultivators weren’t the most important part of the small kingdom as the true core was made up of the Nascent Soul Realm Ancestors belonging to the royal family, the loss of so many at the same time left a significant power vacuum within the kingdom that would soon cause chaos to spread as countless smaller forces began fighting to claim more territory and influence for themselves.

Lu Dongli and her family might not be interested in joining this kind of deadly struggle, but given their status as a Core Formation Realm Family, they might very well get dragged into the chaos… And that was not something he wanted to see happen, as there was a very real chance that something might go wrong that could potentially hurt Lu Dongli.

Well… Not Lu Dongli herself, as he had made sure she was protected, but her family that hadn’t received his protection so to speak.

Because of this, as he arrived back above the Lu Family Estate without running into any problems along the way together with him sensing that the situation at the sect’s borders remained stable even after he had killed those two troublemakers, he couldn’t help silently breathing a silent sigh of relief.

Knowing that now was the best chance for him to visit Lu Dongli and take her in as his disciple before the chaos reached the Lu Family…

Whoosh~

And having already made up his mind, he silently descended from the air before approaching Lu Dongli’s room. Only to realize that it might not be the best of looks for him to visit a young lady in the middle of the night alone in her own room...

Knock~ Knock~

Optics aside, he was an immortal cultivator, so he could brush aside that bit of embarrassment before gently knocking on the door. ”Huh? C-come in…?” Earning a somewhat surprised yelp from Lu Dongli before she stopped her meditation before calling out in a somewhat confused voice. Clearly not expecting someone to come to her room in the middle of the night.

Creak~

”S-s-senior? Y-you are…?” Taken aback upon seeing him enter, as his robes alone screamed that he wasn’t some junior figure but some kind of senior cultivator that gave her a feeling far beyond even that of Nascent Soul Realm cultivators she had faced during her past life or rather the illusion she had been trapped inside of, causing her to unknowingly refer to him as a senior.

”I’m an elder from the Star Shattering Sect and noticed you have a unique constitution and an admirable cultivation talent, so I decided to pass by and see you in person.” Feeling a sense of relief that the other party hadn’t started screaming upon seeing someone unknown entering her room in the middle of the night, Xuan Hao decided to quickly introduce himself while also giving a good reason for why he had shown up in the middle of the night to find her.

”My talent…? And constitution?”

”Yes, I noticed it by accident when passing by earlier when noticing some troublemakers causing damage within the territory of my sect and decided to come and personally see after dealing with those troublemakers.”

”Territory of your sect…? And troublemakers?”

”Yes, this kingdom exists within the territory of my sect, as for the two troublemakers, some of their battle hit the territory of my sect. In this case, this small kingdom. Erasing a good portion of this capital, though this kingdom is rather lucky, as I arrived in time and prevented any further damage. Other kingdoms weren’t that lucky and were… Destroyed by the time I could respond.”

Not holding anything back as he decided to just share everything that had just happened within the capital along with outside of it and the fact that her small kingdom existed under the Star Shattering Sect, Xuan Hao felt a bit amused looking at her confused expression that seemed to be having a difficult time understanding what he was saying. After all, everything he said was completely different from what she remembered from the illusion that she firmly believed was her past life.

Part of the capital city was destroyed!? And it ended up attracting the attention of this senior cultivator! Did me falling asleep on my way to the capital city really end up triggering this kind of butterfly effect that caused some powerful attack from a distant battle to land within the capital city!? How terrifying…

Fully under the belief that everything that had happened had to do with how she had fallen asleep this time around during her way to the capital city, Lu Dongli could not help silently shivering at the thought that such a seemingly innocent action had ended up causing the attack of some powerful cultivators far beyond her comprehension to clash differently and ultimately end up destroying part of the capital city in the process. Attracting the attention of this powerful senior now standing in front of her who in turn noticed her talent for cultivation and unique constitution.

As for how he had noticed her? Lu Dongli didn’t think too much about it and guessed he had just seen her through his divine sense and noticed the unique cold qi that gathered around her when she cultivated and in turn saw through her unique physique in the process.

Considering just how far beyond her this senior’s cultivation was, she didn’t find this weird in the slightest and was more curious about whether this senior knew more about her physique and how to potentially solve the deadly problem she had found herself running into while cultivating in the past.

In fact, part of her had already silently concluded that she had to grasp this opportunity and find a way to join the sect that this senior was part of. After all, a sect with such a powerful elder was bound to be far stronger than any of the kingdoms or other powers she had encountered in her past life.

Even reaching the Domain Lord Realm that had been her ultimate dream during the last few years of her life as she had left her home kingdom in search of opportunities wouldn’t be impossible, as a figure like the senior in front of her had undoubtedly surpassed the Domain Lord Realm in terms of strength.

This was not just something she blindly believed but came from once observing a Domain Lord Realm battle from afar during her past life journey through the world.

Although the power of those two Domain Lord Realm cultivators far exceeded anything she had ever encountered in the past, they still seemed insignificant compared to the person standing before her, thus making her conclude that this senior was at least someone above the Domain Lord Realm.

This… Was not how I expected things to go…

Feeling the passionate gaze from Lu Dongli as she looked towards him filled with anticipation, Xuan Hao understood that taking this young lady on as a disciple wouldn’t be anywhere near as difficult as he had expected.

On the other hand, it seemed like a single word from him would make this young lady throw herself into the fire for the mere chance at becoming his disciple.

But… As he thought about the situation a bit more, he realized that the reason behind this passion wasn’t because she was overly trusting, but instead because she saw hope at reaching a far higher realm than she had inside the illusion. Not to mention, mentioning her unique physique and talent had also earned him a certain degree of trust, as he showed some understanding of her physique but still seemed willing to recruit her to his sect.

This single aspect alone clearly displayed that he wasn’t worried about being unable to deal with her unique physique, a fact that Lu Dongli had clearly picked up on.

Not to mention… With his strength, Lu Dongli understood full well that he had no reason to lie to her, as there wouldn’t be anyone within the small kingdom who could do anything against him in the first place.

All this combined was enough for Xuan Hao to unknowingly earn the trust of this young lady without much effort. Only needing to say the word for her to happily bow down and honor him as her master, a fact that left him speechless for a few second as he comprehended the situation he had found himself in.
