Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Feeling the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect completely disappearing along with the collapsing space swallowing the towering giant of light completely, Xuan Hao let out a silent sigh of relief before silently using his divine sense to sweep outwards followed by his sword intent descending upon the escaping disciples and seniors who had managed to avoid being caught up in the core of the battlefield where he and the demigod had clashed with each other. The overall strength of these escapees proving to be of no challenge even in his current weakened state following the sustained battle with the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect, as the general cultivation realm of the escapees was below the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Every single senior that did reach the Celestial Immortal Realm within the Heavens Faith Sect having been wiped out by the violent burst of power from their own god as he clashed head on with the collapsing space attempting to swallow him, something Xuan Hao did find himself quite gracious towards, as without the stronger members of the Heavens Faith Sect being wiped out, he would have found himself in a difficult position trying to fight a group of cultivators at the Celestial Lord Realm in his current exhausted state.

Still… Although he had managed to successfully wipe out the main sect of the Heavens Faith Sect and had even managed to pick up a heavenly treasure in the process, he still hadn’t completed the task assigned to him upon reaching the twenty seventh floor…

[Current Floor: 27]

[Task: Erase the Heavens Faith Sect]

[Progress: 67.8%/100%]

[Reward: 4.000.000 Ascension Coin, the passage to the twenty-eighth floor reveals itself]

If anything, he could barely be considered to have completed the task by half and that should almost entirely be from him killing the demigod serving as the core of the faith.

The faith that remained should mostly come from the different branch sects directly connected to the main sect of the Heavens Faith Sect, while those other branch sects that were no different from subordinate forces serving as nothing more than tools for the Heavens Faith Sect to collect the cultivation resources scattered throughout the small world wouldn’t uphold their faith once news of the Heaven Faith Sect’s destruction spread.

How to spread this information was rather simple, as he could simply rely on his current strength to forcibly spread it through his divine sense over a vast area.

As for the different subordinates under the Heavens Faith Sect doubting his words? He didn’t think much about it, as once they heard him, they would undoubtedly seek to learn the truth of the situation and once they did, they would learn that the Heavens Faith Sect had indeed been destroyed.

The only real roadblock left on this path of forcibly dismantling the Heavens Faith Sect and erasing its existence from the small world was the still standing branches located around the edges of the core of the small world. Counting the branch sect he had already visited on his way to the main sect of the Heavens Faith Sect, there were another three branch sects that he would need to destroy.

Luckily, though the destruction of the main sect had devastated an area spanning thousands of kilometers and the shockwaves alone had cratered mountains tens of thousands of kilometers away, the scope of the core region was so vast that the branch sects at the very edge wouldn’t have sensed anything.

The only thing that might be suspicious would be a sudden cut in connection with the main sect, but this wasn’t that odd and could simply be investigated by visiting the main sect. The last thing the people from these branch sects would ever think about was that their god had already been killed and their main sect wiped out. After all, the Heavens Faith Sect had already been around for millions of years and something capable of threatening the sect simply didn’t exist.

Taking advantage of this, Xuan Hao decided to spend the next two days recovering his strength while also setting up several illusion formations throughout the vast territory that had been devastated by his battle with the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect. Making it appear nothing had changed in the eyes of any disciples and seniors of the Heavens Faith Sect who might be coming to check out the state of the main sect after their connection was cut.

Of course, given his goal was to wipe out the Heavens Faith Sect, he made sure to layer in countless deadly killing formations within those illusion formations. Making sure that anyone returning to the main sect wouldn’t have a chance of escaping alive. Giving himself more than enough time to visit the remaining four branch sects without having to worry about them escaping and hiding away to bide their time.

Overall, the thing he feared the most now that the demigod was dead, was one of the Celestial Immortals from the Heavens Faith Sect managing to slip away and hide away waiting for a time to strike back and slowly focus on rebuilding the Heavens Faith Sect in hiding. After all, even with his current strength, it was close to impossible for him to search through a massive world like the twenty seventh floor of the ascension realm tower. After all, though he often referred to it as a small world, it was by no means small and was almost comparable to the Northern Central Region in size.

Because of this, his first target became the branch sect of the Heavens Faith Sect that he had first visited, as it was by far the branch with the highest chance of finding out something was wrong because of how he had already killed one of the senior members at the Celestial Immortal Realm.

Although the remaining seniors might not have realized one of them had already died, they would undoubtedly find out if they decided to have some emergency meeting because of the sudden lost connection to the main sect… And indeed, arriving above this branch sect after a few minutes of travel following him setting up a final illusion formation near a small mountain a little over twenty-three thousand kilometers away from the main sect that had been the farthest victim of his battle with the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect, he saw every single one of the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators gathered together outside the secluded cultivation chamber of the now dead Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator.

Listening in from above, it was clear that they were just about to force their way inside. Worried something might have happened to their friend…

Ruuumble-!

Unfortunately, before they even had a chance to investigate, Xuan Hao silently waved his hand and caused a sea of fire to descend from above. Engulfing the entire branch sect before any of the people below had the chance to respond. Reducing everything below to ash over the next few minutes, as the few Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators stood no chance in the face of someone at the Land Creation Realm.

[Progress: 71.3%/100%]

When the branch had been completely wiped out and an illusion formation together with several killing formations had been set up to hide the destruction of the branch sect, Xuan Hao glanced towards the progress of the task. Finding that it had barely increased by a little over three percent. Showcasing just how valuable to the faith the main sect was compared to these smaller branch sects that essentially just served as gates to the core of the small world. Barring anyone not related to the Heavens Faith Sect from stepping into the core.

If the remaining three branch sects accounted for a similar number, it would mean that less than twenty percent of the faith in the Heavens Faith Sect could be found outside the core within the different subordinate powers under the Heavens Faith Sect, something that could hopefully be shattered with the news of the Heavens Faith Sect being destroyed.

Still, in case there were some who held onto the Heavens Faith Sect, Xuan Hao decided to make use of the fact that he was the one who destroyed the Heavens Faith Sect to make those subordinate forces work for him in wiping out those remaining pillars of faith.

The way he would achieve this was rather simple, as he planned to share the path to the Land Creation Realm with them along with the Profound Immortal Realm cultivation path.

As for those who had already reached the Celestial Immortal Realm and couldn’t walk this path, he had originally wanted to share the path to the Celestial Lord Realm. Unfortunately, he didn’t have any information on how to reach this realm, as it was clear that the only ones capable of reaching this realm had done so through the assistance of the demigod of the Heavens Faith Sect.

Still, one thing he could help them with was reaching the Peak of the Celestial Immortal Realm and seeing hope of the Celestial Lord Realm in the future, he could just say that he would share information on reaching the Celestial Lord Realm after they broke through to the Peak of the Celestial Immortal Realm. After all, he didn’t plan to linger around long enough for them to realize that he didn’t know how to help them reach the Celestial Lord Realm.
