Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Finding herself suddenly facing a demon beast far beyond what she could deal with given her current strength at the Third Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm without making some kind of significant sacrifice in the process, Lu Dongli could not help wondering if she would end up leaving the first floor in a different manner than the one she had originally planned on using.

Bang!

However, before she could even get up on her feet again to face the burly looking snake that had just experienced a sort of powerup, the snake in question was ambushed by the senior sister at the Seventh Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm… And given that there was only a single minor realm between the two, the snake demon beast didn’t stand much of a chance after being caught off guard. Crumbling to the ground dead before it could retaliate, while the culprit behind its death made her way over to her with a clear look of concern on her face. ”Are you okay?”

”Yes, I’m fine…” Faced with the concern from the other party, Lu Dongli could only nod her head as she stopped herself from carrying out her earlier plan of a leaving the first floor. Feeling that it might scare this senior sister if she did something like that out of nowhere after being saved.

Not to mention, it might not be for the worse that she ended up on this more challenging first floor of the tower, as she did at the very least get an opportunity to befriend this pair of fellow disciples in the process. Using the opportunity to enter the ascension realm tower for free to make friends outside of the other disciples of her master.

Even if it might not suit her original goal, it didn’t matter much as she felt confident that she would visit the ascension realm tower again in the future.

After all, it wasn’t like the tower would be uprooting itself and running away the second she stepped out of it…

”Great! Let’s work together and see how far we can go with this challenge from the tower, even if we can’t clear the floor boss and advance to the second floor of the tower, we will still get the one ascension coin for clearing the two tasks.”

Unaware of Lu Dongli’s internal thoughts, the older girl that had saved her smiled happily upon learning that she was fine and didn’t suffer any serious injuries from the violent impact just now. Having felt somewhat worried about her after seeing how far she had gone flying.

But, with her not suffering any serious injuries, the older girl also ended up declaring her intentions of trying to clear the two tasks. Battle intent already visible in her eyes as she gazed towards a snake demon beast barely visible through the tall grass in the distance.

A gaze Lu Dongli saw, causing her to roll her eyes with understanding. Confirming from that one gaze that this seemingly timid older girl who had been unwilling to enter the first floor of the dungeon not long ago didn’t seem that unwilling any longer. Already confirming from the fast death of the snake demon beast that had unknowingly knocked her flying that her strength was impressive for someone at the Seventh Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm.

The only question was the smaller one, whose strength was even weaker than her at the Second Stage of the Qi Condensation Realm. After all, she had been the most eager to ascend the tower and get to the first floor.

Oh well… With the strength of the demon beasts on this floor, she will inevitably be forced to reveal any strength that might be hidden beneath her low cultivation realm…

Shaking her head as she thought this to herself while looking towards the smaller one that had already bounced over full of energy to check up on her, Lu Dongli had already decided to stay with the two unexpected companions on this first excursion to the first floor of the ascension realm tower.

…

So, this is a demon beast at the Celestial Lord Realm…

Around the same time Lu Dongli decided to stay on the first floor of the ascension realm tower and continue exploring the place even with the increased danger, on the twenty sixth floor of the ascension realm tower, Xuan Hao found himself in a state of awe. Focused on a demon beast the size of a mountain slowly making its way through a desolate landscape.

The sheer size of the demon beast alone causing the very earth to tremble with every step it took. Leaving behind enormous prints on the ground behind it. Warning any weaker demon beasts passing through to steer clear in the process.

The unfortunate ones who found themselves in the path of this mountain-sized demon beast either ending up crushed beneath its massive feet, or if large enough, sucked up into its mouth to be devoured.

No matter what these demon beasts did to try and escape upon spotting this terrifying demon beast moving in their direction, there was nothing they could do, as it seemed like the mountain-sized demon beast used some kind of domain to lock any demon beast that got too close to it in place. Sealing off the escape path for the weaker demon beasts who might have normally been able to avoid its path. Only able to stand there and watch as the towering demon beast grew closer until they got stomped to death or swallowed alive.

Observing all of this from afar while using the Dao of Space to hide himself from the towering demon beast, Xuan Hao began wondering how he was supposed to kill a demon beast the size of a mountain.

After all, it wasn’t a small mountain barely a thousand meters tall. Instead, it was a towering one that stretched over seven thousand meters into the sky covering an area over twice that.

Even if it would be simple enough for someone at the Land Creation Realm to destroy such an area and even someone in the Domain Lord Realm could accomplish it with a bit of effort. The problem was that it wasn’t some normal mountain, but instead a demon beast at the Celestial Lord Realm… And with the sheer size of this demon beast, Xuan Hao had a feeling simply piercing through its defense and trying to destroy it from the inside like he had done in the past when faced with this kind of massive opponent wouldn’t work.

Not just because of the scale of the enemy he faced, but also because he had no clue where to focus his attack to do the most damage to this massive demon beast. Unable to discern where the head or other important body parts that might house the soul of this towering giant might be located, as the demon beast itself was not only the size of a mountain, but also looked like one from the outside if you ignored the six massive legs that had seemingly sprouted from the base of the mountain allowing it to move on its own through the desolate landscape without any clear direction in mind. Calling this kind of demon beast a walking mountain wouldn’t be wrong.

Whoosh~

However, even though he had no clue where the weakness of this strange demon beast was located, he had no intention of simply watching it walk away, as this was the first Celestial Lord Realm demon beast he had encountered since stepping onto the twenty sixth floor of the tower and he intended to take the opportunity to test his current strength now that he had broken through to the Middle Stage of the Land Creation Realm and had successfully formed his inner world.

At the end of the day, though this demon beast was undoubtedly powerful when it came to defense and endurance, it was still at a realm comparable to the Land Creation Realm and within the same realm, Xuan Hao felt confident in his own strength.

Even in the worst case scenario where this demon beast proved to be far stronger than he might have anticipated after watching its casual use of some kind of suppression domain on the surrounding demon beasts, he always had that extra insurance from his Dao of Space, with the only thing that might worry him being the almost solid feeling from the space around him that made it far more difficult to properly use the Dao of Space for things like shuttling through space to escape danger.

Still, it only made it more difficult, not impossible, as he could still rely on his profound comprehension of the Dao of Space to forcibly tear through the thick space around him to escape if the situation called for it. Not that he planned on escaping even if the situation turned bad, as it would be a great opportunity to properly test his strength against a powerful enemy in a place where he couldn’t die.
