Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Continuing to drag itself forward, the shadowy demon beast managed to leave the section of the hallway affected by the battle between the two Land Creation Realm cultivators. No longer having to worry about ending up dead from a stray sword slash as it continued moving forward with far more ease. Soon enough spotting the ancient teleportation formation that it had been looking for in the distance. Igniting a newfound hope in the shadowy demon beast that filled its weak body with renewed strength as it pushed itself forward.

Having already come so far, there was no way it would just give up and resign itself to fate, if there was an opportunity, it would push itself forward until it found somewhere safe to recover from the countless injuries it had sustained.

Not just that, but now that it had managed to escape from the treasury that had trapped it for countless years, it wanted to leave the ancient alchemy ruins and find a way out into the world it had lived in before it had been captured by demonic cultivators. After all, compared to the ancient alchemy sect ruins where death lurked around every corner even with its current strength at the Land Creation Realm, the world outside the ancient alchemy sect ruins was far safer. Otherwise, it wouldn’t have been able to live peacefully as a Foundation Establishment Realm demon beast without encountering any danger.

The encounter it had with the demonic cultivators, who had ultimately thrown it into the ancient alchemy sect ruins, could be considered a coincidence and was just unlucky. Not to mention, even if it did encounter those demonic cultivators again, it was doubtful that they would be able to put up a fight against it.

Rustle~

Feeling its thoughts already starting to wander towards a brighter future, the shadowy demon beast finally managed to pull itself on top of the ancient teleportation formation located in an area where the hallway widened ever so slightly to make space for it on the side.

As for the hallway itself? It continued with no end sight...

To be honest, the shadowy demon beast didn’t know if there was an end to the hallway and only referred to the location of the ancient teleportation formation as the end point of the hallway because it didn’t dare to wander beyond the ancient teleportation formation.

As for the reason behind this... It couldn’t describe clearly, just a feeling that continuing further down the hallway would lead to something bad happening...

Rumble~!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

While the shadowy demon beast began activating the ancient teleportation formation with what little spiritual qi was still left inside its body, the sound of battle that had started to grow distant suddenly began growing louder as it seemed like the two Land Creation Realm cultivators fighting each other had sensed the spatial fluctuation from the ancient teleportation formation activating.

”Noooo-”

Whoosh~!

Unfortunately, it was far too late for the two of them to catch the shadowy demon beast after it activated the ancient teleportation formation. Only able to helplessly yell out in anger as the shadowy demon beast disappeared from the hallway alongside the ancient teleportation formation that seemed to have barely held together for one last use before crumbling. Leaving the two, now fuming Land Creation Realm cultivators, with nowhere to vent their anger but themselves.

It was not that they hadn’t thought about the shadowy demon beast escaping during their battle, it was just that they didn’t find it realistic for it to be able to escape from them, as they had both clearly sensed that there were countless spatial restrictions in place inside the hallway. Making escape using the Dao of Space or teleportation talismans impossible.

Not to mention, their divine sense had still been keeping track of the shadowy demon beast the entire time, but... They had somehow still allowed the half dead shadowy demon beast to escape.

Not only was this a loss shared between both, who had been planning on potentially using the materials harvested from the shadowy demon beast’s dead body to break through to the Middle Stage of the Land Creation Realm, but it was also humiliating to know that such an injured opponent had managed to slip away so easily under the direct oversight of the divine sense of two Land Creation Realm cultivators.

The only reason why this had even been possible in the first place, was because the ancient teleportation formation that the shadowy demon beast had ended up using wasn’t exactly easy to notice, as the ancient teleportation formation was in the form of a normal carpet before being activated.

Only when the ancient teleportation formation was activated did the two Land Creation Realm cultivators realize what was happening and attempted to rush over to stop the shadowy demon beast, but by then it was already too late and the shadowy demon beast along with the ancient teleportation formation disguised as a normal carpet had disappeared. Leaving the two angry Land Creation Realm cultivators behind to yell at each as they began another battle. This time around, being far more serious as they began looking for a potential opportunity to launch a trump card to take out one of their old enemies.

Of course, now that it had managed to successfully escape from the Land Creation Realm cultivators chasing after it, the shadowy demon beast no longer cared much about them and only really wanted to find somewhere safe to heal its injuries.

Unfortunately, one negative about the ancient teleportation formation inside the seemingly endless hallway was that one would never know where they ended up inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins after going through the ancient teleportation formation. For this reason, the shadowy demon beast avoided it under normal circumstances. Only now that its life was in danger did it dare to use it.

And from a quick glance around its surroundings, it didn’t take long for it to realize that it had ended up in a somewhat intact part of the ancient alchemy sect ruin.

But...

Just as it crawled out of the small ancient building it had ended up inside after being teleported, it found itself face to face with a familiar face-

”Hm?”

”...”

That someone being none other than Xuan Hao who was in the process of looking through the different ancient buildings while Huo Fen and Meng Jie were busy crafting the elixir, potion or pill that they had been risking their lives to gather enough resources for.
