Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

”Huh!? A Land Creation Realm demon beast!? Didn’t that little brat say that the trouble was caused by some unknown wandering cultivator in the Celestial Immortal Realm interfering in the battle?! How did it turn into a Land Creation Realm demon beast!?”

”You don’t say, I wasn’t expecting this either and only rushed over thinking it would be a junior in the Celestial Immortal Realm. Never expected to encounter something like this...”

Following the first senior figure in the Sea Formation Realm showing up in front of the passage leading into the ancient alchemy sect ruins, it didn’t take long before others began to show up.

Although... Even though they had arrived, none of them dared to take a single step forward into the ancient alchemy sect ruins after realizing there was a Land Creation Realm demon beast rampaging inside.

Even if they wanted to step forward to help their juniors, there was simply nothing they could do in the face of a Land Creation Realm demon beast on their own...

Seeing this scene, one of the ancestors who had just arrived could not help frowning as he looked at the cowardly behavior of everyone present before looking towards the Land Creation Realm demon beast inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins.

Strong as it was, they had strength in numbers and should be able to hold back the Land Creation Realm demon beast by combining their strength. Although far from enough to defeat the Land Creation Realm demon beast, it would at least buy their juniors the time needed for them to escape from the ancient alchemy sect ruins.

Knowing this, his frown widened as he turned back towards the group of ancestors just casually observing the deadly situation inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins. ”What are all of you just standing there for! If we waste any more time, our younger generation will end up suffering a significant loss!”

”This... Even if we work together, a Land Creation Realm demon beast is too much...”

”Yeah, let’s just wait for one of those four old fellows to show up and deal with the situation. No need to risk our lives fighting with such a powerful demon beast.”

”Yeah!”

”I agree, it’s far too risky to fight it!”

But, contrary to the response he had been expecting, every single one of these old figures refused to step forward to help holding back the powerful demon beast for their juniors.

Seems like these old fellows still haven’t realized what it will mean for all these juniors to die. Maybe I should help refresh their memory a bit...

Narrowing his eyes at the disappointing development, the ancestor who had first spoken up once again opened his mouth to plead with his peers. ”Everyone, have you forgotten, if all these juniors perish, we will have to train up new ones and the resource required. Especially for those inside already close to reaching the Earth Immortal Realm (Dao Seed Realm)...”

”Ah! Now that I think about, its only right for us to help our juniors overcome this dangerous situation!”

”Don’t worry friend, I will join in and help hold back this beast!”

”Haha, it only just reached the Land Creation Realm and is clearly not familiar with its own strength, this will be a simple battle if we work together.”

”Indeed, we might even be able to kill it!”

Almost instantly following his few words of encouragement, the group of seniors instantly became lively. Agreeing happily to join forces to resist the Land Creation Realm demon beast that they had all been so vehemently refusing to fight seconds earlier.

”...”

Even though he knew this would happen, it was still a somewhat shocking experience... And in a way, he would have acted in a similar way if his major power didn’t have a dozen or so talented juniors currently trapped inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins, one of them even being talented enough that she was considered a likely candidate for reaching the Celestial Immortal Realm in future, becoming a pillar of his major power and a way to further strengthen its foundation...

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Whoosh-!

Not long after the group of ancestors ranging between the Early Stage of the Sea Formation Realm to the Middle Stage of the Sea Formation Realm along with two in the Late Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm, came to an agreement, they rushed forward to stop the Land Creation Realm demon beast before it had a chance to kill off all their juniors.

Ruuumble~!

Half of them combining their strength to launch a volley of attacks towards the Land Creation Realm demon beast, while the other half worked in tandem with each other to grab and throw out any disciple they could get their hands on out of the ancient alchemy sect ruins.

”Wha-!? Waaaaaa-!”

”Senior, I- Aaaaaaaa-!”

”Please throw me, senior-”

Whoosh-!

”Thaaaaaaankkk yoooou!”

The entire situation completely caught the frozen juniors off guard, as they soon found themselves being tossed through the passage to the ancient alchemy sect ruins at a terrifying speed that left them rattled, though, they quickly learnt to appreciate this, as it did get them out of danger.

The reason why the ancestors didn’t just gather them together and escorted them out but instead just grabbed them and threw them out was simply because this method was far more effective.

BOOOOM-!

ROOOOAR-!

While half the group was throwing out any cultivator, they encountered no matter what major power they belonged to, the other half finally clashed with the Land Creation Realm demon beast head on. Creating a shockwave of violent spiritual qi that they couldn’t do much about when it came to defending the unlucky cultivators who had ended up on the other side of the shadowy demon beast after attempting to escape using a teleportation talisman that had clearly malfunctioned without proper guidance.

They didn’t even have a chance to scream before the violent spiritual qi rushed over them and shattered their bodies before similarly tearing apart their souls. Leaving them no chance to escape as they all perished. Cutting down the total number of cultivators still left inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins by at least 10%, something that none of the ancestors were happy to see but ultimately found themselves unable to do anything about.

Blocking the Land Creation Realm demon beast was already their limit. Helping those who had been unfortunate enough to resort to using teleportation talismans just before they arrived was outside their abilities, as they were already doomed.

If anything, the one positive spin was that those who had been foolish enough to use teleportation talismans had all been among the weakest cultivators present, those who had been afraid of being the next to get caught by the Land Creation Realm demon beast.

The stronger ones had already put enough distance between themselves and the Land Creation Realm demon beast that they felt confident in still having some time left before they would have to start worrying about being eaten. After all, the shadowy demon beast didn’t directly move to kill everyone, but instead casually snacked on them one by one. Slowly moving forward in a predictable manner.

Like this, the battle inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins continued, the group of ancestors barely holding off against the Land Creation Realm demon beast that was luckily not that experienced in combat after having been locked up inside the treasury for most of its life.

Of course, it was still a Land Creation realm demon beast, and it was impossible for this group of ancestors to hold on against it forever. Especially as it became more familiar with its own strength and forced more of the ancestors who had been busy throwing juniors through the passage to join in to resist it.

By the time that a few minutes had passed, every single one of the ancestors had been forced to join in to resist the Land Creation Realm demon beast and even then, it was becoming increasingly difficult for them to hold on against the shadowy demon beast.

The originally restrained shadows that enveloped the shadowy demon beast extending out into towering shadowy tentacles that carried enough power to easily squash someone in the Early Stage of the Celestial Immortal Realm. Even these senior figures, who were far stronger than that, found it difficult to resist against the shadowy tentacles as their numbers grew.

From originally only being a single shadowy tentacle shyly poking around, there were now hundreds of these shadowy tentacles violently wreaking havoc wherever they passed through. Putting immense pressure on the group of ancestors.

The only positive was that the shadowy demon beast hadn’t yet learnt to fully control these shadowy tentacles. Meaning that most of them ended up missing their target.

If it learnt to fully control them... There would simply be no chance for them to resist it.

For this reason, the group silently agreed to retreat before the shadowy demon beast could reach a level where it could freely control these shadow tentacles.

As for those left behind inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins... That would be an unfortunate loss...
