Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Having decided that the place was safe for now and it would be relatively simple for him to notice whenever a Land Creation Realm cultivator appeared and began attempting to break through the ancient formation that guarded the place, Xuan Hao didn’t linger around the open square that Huo Fen and Meng Jie had turned into their temporary base for alchemy refining and began to explore the place for any hidden treasures that the master disciple pair might have missed. Hoping that he would be able to find an alchemy inheritance at the Saint Realm amidst the ruins.

Even though the five alchemy artifacts were incredibly useful for reaching the Saint Realm, it was still inferior to assistance that a Saint Realm Inheritance could provide. After all, the artifacts would be helpful in experiencing the Saint Realm firsthand, while an inheritance would give a clear path towards reaching the Saint Realm, a major difference. Especially considering using those five alchemy artifacts was far from cheap. Requiring several Saint Grade Spiritual herbs with each use, while an inheritance didn’t require anything.

Although the sect would want to continuously use something like the five alchemy artifacts to increase the realm of the sect’s alchemist, it wasn’t exactly something the sect could do, as the amount of Saint Grade Spiritual Herbs required for something like that was simply terrifying. Even a powerful ancient power like the ancient alchemy sect he currently found himself in was unlikely to have kept these kinds of artifacts running constantly, likely reserving them for especially talented alchemy disciple to use every now and then.

The best-case scenario for the future use of this kind of magical artifact set would be for the disciples and elders themselves to provide the spiritual herbs needed to use them, though... With the rarity of Saint Grade Spiritual Herb and the sect essentially having no way to grow that quality of spiritual herbs on its own, the use of this set would likely be extremely restricted and require a hefty sum of contribution points to use or some kind of special circumstances like Pei Yang, who was only a step away from becoming a Saint Realm Alchemist.

I really do hope Pei Yang will be able to break through to the Saint Realm soon or the Alchemy Hall might end up becoming the weakest among the three main profession halls of the sect...

Smiling a bit to himself as he already thought about how to make use of the five alchemy artifacts after returning to the sect, Xuan Hao couldn’t help hoping that he would be able to help this now old friend of his break through to the Saint Realm and become a Saint Realm Alchemist before the Formation Hall ended up giving birth to a Saint Realm Formation Master.

As for why he didn’t consider Huo Fen and Meng Jie claiming the five artifacts for themselves... That was simply because they were unable to do so.

Although they had been able to move them out into the middle of the square, it was clear to him from a glance that these five artifacts had been bound to a nearby building and were unable to be moved too far away from said building. This being the main reason why the two hadn’t brought these five alchemy artifacts out of the ancient alchemy sect ruins when they had left the place in the past.

Not to mention... Even if they were able to take the artifacts away, they wouldn’t be able to use them without Saint Grade Spiritual Herbs and that was not even considering the fact that he was already planning to have the two of them join the Star Shattering Sect after everything was over. Meaning that the five alchemy artifacts would ultimately still end up in the Star Shattering Sect no matter what ended up happening.

...

At the same time Xuan Hao was in the process of searching through the ancient buildings looking for a potential Saint Realm Alchemy Inheritance or anything else that might have been left behind or remained unprotected inside an ancient building whose formation had weakened enough for him to slip past or destroy, a large man quietly appeared outside the passage to the ancient alchemy sect ruins where a grand battle was now playing out between the group of senior figures from the different major powers and the Land Creation Realm demon beast.

”To think a Land Creation Realm demon beast would appear in this place... Looks like these ancient ruins are far more dangerous than we originally thought.” Muttering this to himself as he glanced towards the ongoing battle that was clearly tilting in the favor of the demon beast, the larger man narrowed his eyes slightly before his attention drifted towards the passage leading into the ancient alchemy sect ruins, a hint of greed flashing past his eyes.

The battle playing out in the distance drawing not even the slightest bit of attention from him, as he was instead far more focused on the ancient alchemy sect that was located on the other side of the passage.

After all, for a Land Creation Realm demon beast to appear didn’t just mean that the ancient alchemy sect ruins were far more dangerous than he and the other three Land Creation Realm cultivators of the Eastern Central Region had calculated originally but also meant that the treasures contained inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins were far more valuable.

Having originally come to help deal with the Land Creation Realm demon beast, he was now far more interested in getting his hands on whatever treasure was hidden inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins.

In any case, the few talented juniors from his major power that had gone to join in the fun had long since escaped along with the first few who had left the ancient alchemy sect ruins upon realizing the danger of the staying. The only ones still left attempting to run away belonged to the weaker major powers. Not really anyone, he felt the slightest bit interested in trying to save.

Whoosh~

”Oh? Not going to help those juniors~?”

But just as he was about to take a step forward and rush into the ancient alchemy sect ruins, a slightly teasing voice called out to him from the side. Forcing him to stop himself from rushing forward. ”Hmph! Of course not!” Before turning to answer the one who had just called him out.

”Hehe~ Great, how admirable~”

Ignoring the teasing response that was clearly poking fun at him, he instead turned his attention to two nearby spatial disturbances-

Whoosh~!

Whoosh~!

As two more equally powerful people to himself appeared from within those spatial disturbances a second later...

”Looks like everyone is her, let’s get rid of that little demon beast.”

Swish-!

And without any hesitation after saying those words, he directly took the lead in charging the rampaging Land Creation Realm demon beast.

BOOOM-!

”Look! It’s the Ancestor of the Shou Family!”

”Great! We won’t have to continue dealing with this annoying demon beast any longer.”

”Praise the Shou Ancestor! Praise the Shou Family!”

The charge was quickly met with the grateful praises of those below, as the reputation of this man, who turned out to be none other than the ancestor of one of the four major powers of the Eastern Central Region, the Shou Family Clan. The original intention behind him being the first move.

As for the Sea Formation Realm cultivators and other powerful figures locked in battle with the Land Creation Realm demon beast...

”Haha, indeed, the Land Creation Realm is far too powerful for someone like us to deal with!”

”Hmph! Why don’t you just break through to the Land Creation Realm then? You are already at the Sea Formation Realm!”

”That... I’m only at the Middle Stage, far from enough to go anywhere beyond the Early Stages of the Land Creation Realm...”

”Hehe, I’m sure you are just fearful of perishing in the land creation process~”

”You!”

Their reaction was a bit different, as they weren’t entirely filled with awe in the face of this Land Creation Realm Ancestor, as they themselves felt confident in being able to reach the Land Creation Realm themselves whenever they wanted, it was just that they aimed higher and wanted to go beyond the Land Creation Realm in the future, thus, they stayed in the Sea Formation Realm to deepen their foundation.

Of course, this wasn’t entirely true, as although they could indeed breakthrough into the Land Creation Realm after reaching the Sea Formation Realm, doing so wasn’t entirely without risk.

The land creation process that was required to break through to the Land Creation Realm came with a certain degree of danger, as even a slight mistake during the creation process could result in the landmass shattering inside the dantian, causing a chain reaction that would essentially blow it up from the inside.

Surviving that kind of situation was... Difficult if not impossible. Not to mention, even in the best-case scenario, one would still end up crippled...
