Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Seeing that everyone had arrived and feeling that she had prepared herself enough, Zhao Ling began the process of breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm with the excited looks of the elders from the sect observing from a distance. The earlier chatter among them having come to a sudden halt the second she began to truly break through to the Dao Seed Realm, as none of them were willing to miss this occasion for anything.

After all, observing someone breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm was not just an immense opportunity that could benefit them when they would inevitably attempt to break through to the Dao Seed Realm themselves in the future, but it was also a chance to witness what a dao seed looked like for the first time as it slowly began to take shape during Zhao Ling’s breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm.

But, while most of the elders were filled with excitement watching Zhao Ling breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm, there was one among them who didn’t share the same level of excitement, as he kept silently sighing to himself while looking back in the direction of the Seventh Star Peak. ”What a pity there wasn’t enough time to set up an accession event for the younger disciples to witness this as well...”

Along with this single line, it wasn’t too difficult to identify this elder as none other than Elder Song, who was feeling genuinely saddened at the fact that he didn’t have enough time to set up an event that would also allow the younger disciples of the sect to participate and witness Zhao Ling’s breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm.

In fact, he wasn’t the only one with this thought, but the breakthrough of someone to the Dao Seed Realm also brought with it a terrifying pressure that those below a certain cultivation realm would find difficult to resist against. Potentially causing harm to those with a weaker cultivation.

For this reason, the few disciples that were lucky enough to be present were guarded by an elder who helped resist the pressure that Zhao Ling was unconsciously releasing during her breakthrough.

Shielding a few disciple wasn’t that difficult considering the sect did have a few other Dao Seed Realm cultivators present, but shielding tens of thousands of disciple without accidentally interfering with Zhao Ling’s breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm was impossible without long term preparations in the form of specialized formations, something that was already incredibly difficult for the sect to set up in the first place.

Zhao Ling had originally wanted to wait for Xuan Hao’s return before breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm. Understanding that he would not only be helpful to have around for guidance, but also had the ability to easily guard the rest of the sect’s younger generation without interfering with her breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm, but... In the end, her cultivation had reached the limit, and it could potentially harm her foundation if she ended up continuing to suppress it for too long.

Not to mention, at the end of the day, it was mostly an afterthought to allow the younger generation of the sect to witness her breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm, her main goal was for the elders who were already close to the Dao Seed Realm to have the opportunity to witness her breakthrough.

Different from Elder Song, who wanted to use every possible opportunity to help improve the sect’s younger generation, Zhao Ling didn’t think it was too big of deal that the younger disciples wouldn’t be able to witness her breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm.

After all, there would be others who would break through to the Dao Seed Realm in the future. Giving the younger disciples more than enough opportunities to witness someone breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm before they themselves reached the Peak of the Soul Ascension Realm and had to start thinking about breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm themselves...

Boom-!

As Zhao Ling officially finished her breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm and the powerful presence of the Dao Seed Realm exploded around her, a small smile appeared on her face as both her eyes shone brightly.

Only after breaking through to the Early Stage of the Dao Seed Realm did, she understand just how large the difference between someone in the Dao Seed Realm and someone in the Soul Ascension Realm was, it wasn’t wrong to say she could easily crush her past self a hundred times without any effort.

The Dao Seed Realm was a true transformation and ascension. Not just in terms of strength, but also in the level of life itself, as the lifespan of someone in the Dao Seed Realm far exceeded that of someone below the Dao Seed Realm.

Even pushed to the limit, the maximum lifespan of someone at the pinnacle of the Soul Ascension Realm would at most be somewhere close to 40.000 years, while even the weakest Dao Seed Realm cultivator would be able to live for 70.000 years... And that did not mention the fact that after breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm, the lifespan would essentially reset in some sense. Meaning that if one had already lived for 30.000 years before breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm, one would still be able to live for another 70.000 years.

In other words, the normal lifespan of someone in the Dao Seed Realm when combined with ones lifespan before breaking through to the Dao Seed Realm would normally be around a hundred thousand years even before reaching the later stages of the Dao Seed Realm or comprehending a Dao like the Dao of Life that was one of the rare few Daos that naturally increased ones lifespan with deeper comprehension.

All that aside, Zhao Ling didn’t care too much about the extended lifespan but was just overjoyed over the fact that she had broken through to the Dao Seed Realm.

And as she began to consolidate her new cultivation realm while the surrounding elders began to exchange insights with each other over what they had learnt from witnessing her breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm, Zhao Ling already began thinking about her future path through the Dao Seed Realm, as she was far from satisfied just staying in the Dao Seed Realm.

No, she wouldn’t be satisfied just reaching the Dao Seed Realm after having learnt about the existence of higher realms of cultivation like the Celestial Immortal Realm and the Profound Immortal Realm. Already setting sights on reaching one of these realms herself in the future, most probably the Profound Immortal Realm, as it seemed to be the superior of the two paths from what she had managed to learn about the realms above the Dao Seed Realm so far.

But then again, she didn’t lock herself into one path immediately and instead decided to first reach the later stages of the Dao Seed Realm before deciding on which path to choose. More importantly, also planning to learn more about the two realms before making a decision.

...

”So... That is the Dao Seed...? I wonder just how strong master is compared to Senior Zhao Ling...” At the same time the elders began chatting with each other again and Zhao Ling began consolidating her cultivation realm, among the group of elders who had witnessed Zhao Ling’s breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm, was also one of Xuan Hao’s disciples, who had a somewhat awed expression on his face as he muttered this to himself.

This disciple was none other than Bai Ning, who had taken a rare break from blacksmithing and decided to join in on the fun to watch Zhao Ling’s break through to the Dao Seed Realm.

Of course, the reason for him to show up wasn’t just because he was curious, but also because he had found out that the powerful presence of someone breaking through to a higher realm could be useful in tempering some special artifacts... And it was for this reason he had come. Trying to make use of the powerful presence and aura of Zhao Ling during her breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm to temper a specific artifact.

Now looking down at the artifact that had been successfully tempered without any accident, Bai Ning was not only overjoyed over the successful tempering of his artifact but was also awed by the strength he had felt from Zhao Ling during her breakthrough to the Dao Seed Realm.

Not only did this make him think about just how powerful his master was, but it also made him feel a sense of interest in increasing his own cultivation realm, something he hadn’t really thought much about, as his focus was mostly focused on blacksmithing and comprehending the Dao of Blacksmithing.

But then again, this sudden interest towards cultivation mostly came about due to the fact that he realized just how useful it would be for his blacksmithing if his cultivation realm increased...
