Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

As Chu Yang found himself cautiously leaving the Explorer Union branch keeping an eye out for any powerful cultivators who might be lurking nearby waiting for the opportunity to catch a wandering cultivator leaving the protection of the Explorer Union, it didn’t take long before he left the small town the branch was located inside.

In the end, there wasn’t anyone lurking around waiting for an unfortunate soul to wander out of the area under the protection of the Explorer Union, but this was also understandable. After all, different from a normal battlefield, the battlefield he found himself trapped inside was not one that had emerged due to the struggle between two major powers fighting for control over a specific cultivation resource. Instead, it was a chaotic battle centered around newly emerged ruins from an ancient sect specialized in the Dao of Alchemy.

Not only did it cover a vast area that made it impossible for a few Early Stage Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators to fully control, but it also had countless precious elixirs, spiritual herbs and other treasures that might help them overcome a difficult bottleneck lying in wait for them, causing most of the cultivators ,who would normally lie in wait to ambush wandering cultivators, to instead focus their effort on the constantly emerging ruins from the ancient ruins.

Of course, though he had managed to avoid the initial danger after leaving the protection of the Explorer Union Branch, he was far from safe, as he would still have to travel a certain distance before he could reach another branch and get back into safety.

His overall plan on how to escape from the battlefield being to try his best to get out before the situation grew even more out of control than it already had. Understanding from the fact that more Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators were still rushing over, that the situation was bound to become even more chaotic and dangerous. Potentially even rendering the normally safe Explorer Union branches unsafe in case more powerful Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators or potentially even Profound Immortal Realm cultivators began to show up.

Although this information could be wrong according to the Explorer Union branch, he had bought this information from, he chose to believe in it, as it could potentially prove fatal in case, he chose to ignore it and ended up hiding away by an Explorer Union branch that was then swept away in an upcoming battle.

To ensure his own safety, he didn’t dare be the slightest bit careless, as he rapidly began moving from branch to branch. Stopping only for a few hours to update his information on the state of the battlefield and recover his strength before heading out again.

Soon enough, he managed to move through seven branches in less than two days. Bringing him extremely close to the new border of the battlefield that had moved all the way from one corner of the Fleeting Cloud Empire to the other. Almost directly touching the border between the Eastern Central Region and the Northern Central Region. Showing just how massive this ancient alchemy sect had been in the past, as it spanned an area far beyond any major power he had encountered so far on his journey through the continent.

But then again, he had only seriously explored one of the Four Central Regions and one of the Central Regions he hadn’t yet explored due to how difficult it was for him to reach, just so happened to be considered the largest and most powerful central region where most of the powerful cultivators on the continent were concentrated...

Thump~

”Huh?”

Lost in his own thoughts as he was silently making his way through a large open plain covered in a sea of tall grass that he used to hide himself from anyone who might be flying past above him, Chu Yang suddenly found himself unable to move forward-

Whoosh~

And before he had time to comprehend what had happened, he found himself being helplessly lifted into the air by some unknown powerful force. Taking him up above the clouds in an instant, where he spotted a massive flying ship hovering menacingly-

Bang!

But in the end, he didn’t have much time to observe the massive flying ship, as he found himself suddenly being thrown into a small opening in the flying ship before he inevitably felt a terrifying suppressive power engulfing him. Sealing his strength completely without giving him any time to resist.

”Huh!? Wh-what is this!?”

”Heeelp-!”

”Nooo-! Let me go!”

However, he wasn’t the only one in this situation, as others followed behind him. Soon enough being thrown in after him. Forcing him to use his quick reflexes to roll out of the way before one of these kindred spirits ended up being thrown into him.

Normally, someone crashing directly into him wouldn’t have been much of a problem, but in his current state, he couldn’t say the same. Especially considering that the sealing effect didn’t just affect his cultivation realm but also affected his physical body.

The only thing that had remained unaffected under the suppression being his dao domain, but... There wasn’t much he could do with it without a cultivation realm and physical body to support it. At most, he would be able to unleash a momentary burst of strength that could kill someone at the First Stage of the Soul Ascension Realm if he was lucky or a continuous strength comparable to someone at the Nascent Soul Realm...

Considering how strong he had been only seconds earlier, this was a shocking experience, but one he quickly came to terms with after seeing that he wasn’t the only person in this state. Only, compared to him, the rest of the people here couldn’t rely on a Dao Domain to regain some of their former strength and were truly in a helpless state.

Given that he might end up standing out to the mysterious capturers who were powerful enough to catch him so completely off guard and render not only himself, but countless others who shouldn’t be weaker than the Domain Lord Realm helpless over such a large distance, he decided to not use his Dao Domain for now. Planning to first understand the situation.

After all, it was clear from how they had been captured that the other party didn’t intend to kill them.

If they really did want them dead, they would already be dead considering the sheer difference in power that had been shown so far...

Felling at least a bit hopeful at this thought, Chu Yang didn’t waste any time and directly made his way over towards a group of cultivators who had clearly been captured before him. Wasting no time in asking them about the situation and who it was that had captured them and for what reason.

In the end, the answer was far from reassuring, as he was informed that the one who had captured them was a Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator who was out looking for powerful wandering cultivators to test out the formations of the ancient alchemy sect ruins for him.

Something Chu Yang had learnt about only a few days earlier through the Explorer Union had now ended up happening to him...

But what was far more terrifying was the fact that the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator behind this entire operation was far from ordinary, as the formation that was suppressing his and the rest of the wandering cultivators, was clearly far from ordinary and should be a special Saint Grade Formation.

That and the massive flying ship that similarly looked far from ordinary, made it clear to Chu Yang that it was unlikely he was dealing with a normal Early-Stage Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator.

Middle Stage- No Late Stage of the Celestial immortal Realm. Maybe even a Profound Immortal Realm cultivator...

Thinking this to himself as his unease deepened, Chu Yang understood that there was no way for him to escape from his current situation on his own.

The only option left for him would be to use the communication talisman his master had specially prepared for him in case he needed help.

Although... Given that he was currently inside a Saint Grade Formation, he doubted that he would be able to use the communication talisman without being noticed. After all, the usage of the communication talisman would require him to rely on his Dao Domain and the momentary surge in spiritual qi in what should have been a barren sealed environment would undoubtedly be noticed by the formation. Alerting the Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator behind it.

Meaning, if he wanted to use the communication talisman without being noticed and potentially instantly killed off, he would have to wait until he left the flying ship and the sealing formation, something that would undoubtedly only happen when he was about to be used to test the formations of the ancient alchemy sect.

I won’t have much after leaving this place... I really hope master will be able to show up in time...

Silently thinking this to himself as he quietly grasped the communication talisman in preparation to discreetly use it the second he left the flying ship and in turn the sealing formation, Chu Yang found a place to sit and meditate on his own while waiting for this time to come.

Although it was impossible to cultivate normally, he could at the very least still comprehend the Dao while waiting around in the hull of the massive flying ship...
